This is why you flash back to stock before another rom. Have you tried ADB Reboot download?
i havent flashed atomicfusion yet, but i think you are supposed to flash the initial odin one click ver1.0 of AF to get the GB bootloaders installed first cuz MIUI doesnt use official SGS GB bootloaders. i dont think the .zip contains bootloaders, could be wrong tho.

There is a 1 click that flashes GB boot loaders with a "stock" KF1. Considering Atomic Fusion is KF1 based id use that. There is also a Odin file that will flash "stock" KF1 without boot loaders if you already have GB boot loaders.
Gingerbread with Boot loaders
Gingerbread without boot loaders
Have you tried using ADB to get into download mode?
If your phone is working, and recognized by USB, I'd say it'd work.
Thanks for the help I tried using one click root and took me to cwm recovery and did a full wipe and my phone is working properly now. Its weird tho one click root fix my problem.

Im still very new to this. Im trying to install Fasty II, and im stuck at the AT&T logo, and im pretty sure its because i cant wipe the Dalvik cache. When i tried to wipe it, it just would do nothing.
First of all, I did confirm the wipe, i didnt hit no on accident
Anyway, whenever I try to wipe it, I get no error or anything, it just goes back, basically as if i am pressing No instead.
Everything that I did in the following order
1. Went back to stock with the Odin One-Click
2. Went to Download mode and installed the Captivate Gingerbread bootloaders (ran as admin)
3. Wiped the data and tried to wipe the Dalvik cache but nothing happened
And btw the same thing happens when trying to wipe battery stats
Am I doing something wrong, is it that there isnt a Dalvik cache (again Im a n00b), or something else entirely?
Probably included a lot of extra info just wanna be thorough.
Thanks in advance
Ginger bread boot loaders for a froyo rom? That's your problem, wrong boot loaders, man. Flash back to 2.1 stock and give a reread on the fasty instructions.
if you could try any of the button combos to get into download mode, you could flash back to stock there.
Or take out the battery, Sim and sd card, plug the phone the USB cord into the phone, hold the volume buttons down and plug the battery in, if it worked, you should be in download mode. Flash back to stock.
If those two didn't work, look into a jig.

No its Fasty II, which is gingerbread
Really, strange, haven't seen it.

Either way, the gingerbread boots are backward compatible. Doesn't matter if he was installing a froyo rom or gingerbread. They work either way.
OP: how did I install cwm? Could just be that version doesn't confirm when deleted although it is wiping it. Either way not wiping dalvik should not cause a boot loop, if it was all clustered you would be laggy and perhaps a few apps force close, but it should boot.
Try and re download the rom and reflash.

Well I tried re-downloading and still get the boot loop.
After installing gingerbread bootloaders, im pretty sure i just did the update.zip way of getting cwm. idk if cwm has been updated since i got it, which was quite a few months ago, but ya idk if that means anything
EDIT: I think it actually was CWM, i tried flashing again, got the bootloop, went into CWM, and it was a diff color so im assuming it was updated, and flashed it again and it worked.
Thanks for the help
EDIT 2: Spoke too soon, stuck at startup now. Has been on the Galaxy S Screen for the last 10 mins
The cwm after the first flash is the one makes into the kernel.
If it doesn't loop the animation and is just staying at the S it should be re building dalvik which takes awhile
All right it works now thank you
Ok, I have ROM Manager premium installed, rooted, etc. I'm running 2.2 version UVKB5 on my T Mobile Samsung Vibrant.
I've selected the option to Flash ClockworkMod Recovery for the "Samsung Vibrant" and it won't boot to CWR. If I select reintall packages, it fails every time.
Help!
did you install both the free and premium version of rom manager?

Make sure the "update.zip" file is on your Int SD card... power off your phone.
While holding down the Vol up+down, press and hold all 3 buttons till the "Samsung/Vibrant splash screen pops up.
You should boot into stock recovery, use vol up and down to move up and down and choose "reinstall update" with power... it should reboot and bring you right back to where you were... repeat choose "reinstall update" with power... now you should boot into CWM recoery.
I think the problem is that you have the new recovery (3e I think) that requires signed update.zip files. I'd recommend using Odin3 to flash another kernel which will come with CWM. If you don't want to do that, there is a guide somewhere on xda to allow 3e recovery to flash unsigned update.zip files.

Exactly clockwork will not install with 3e recovery. Either flash a new kernel or do the 3e mod recovery. Odin will take 1 min to complete its process of flashing a kernel, you should definitely do this. Or just go back to stock and start your flashing journey from there.

Yup, I installed ROM Manager, then bought the premium key. I've got all functionality available to me.
Only problem is that when it flashes the recovery, nothing happens. If I reboot to recovery, it says the update.zip has an invalid signature. It seems nothing works. Am I supposed to flash back to droid 2.1 to get this thing working? It seems like it should be easier than this....

If your running CyanogenMod, there no way around Odin'ing to get back to stock. CyanogenMod (CM7) changes the partitioning to MTD from Stock RFS/Ext4. Only way to get that back is to Odin back to stock.
I flashed the ics rom and then i encrypted it but now i cant mount the sd card in recovery and flash new rom how do i fix it ???
PS. I tried the factory reset and it just rebooted to realize the tab was encrypted.
Please someone tell me how to undo all that so i can flash another rom.
You have to flash the stock recovery using Odin and do a factory reset, then reflash cwm to install a new ROM.
Edit: for future reference, don't encrypt your tab unless it is stock, it won't encrypt or unencrypt properly and will likely end up bricked.

You should be able to do a factory data reset from the stock recovery, the stock image is stored on a hidden partition and will return you to factory settings.

Hi guys,
I normally try and work this stuff out for myself (as you can tell by my join date and my post count) but this has me stumped..
I was attempting to change ICS rome and somewhere in the process something went wrong...
After many unsuccessful attempts of flashing, stock ICS & GB, Abyss.. I checked the partions for errors and found the actual size of p-10 was different than the reported size by 1kb.
So, tried the e2fsck fix- it reported that it had corrected some errors.. I tried flashing again and agin- no success.
I then deleted the partitions, recreated them and reformatted in CWM. ADB reports no errors on any partition. When I try to load an ICS rom, it installs then hangs when it gets to the screen where you select the language.
I can successfully install a GB rom, but after a couple of minutes I start getting errors- then the affected app closes.
Any ideas?
Thanks

To flash cwm recovery on Note you need to flash some safe kernel either using pc odin or mobile odin and once you have cwmr you can flash custom rom .zips. I am not sure about sg2 but HD2 was totally different, that magldr and clk stuff
Also, I am not sure how come you are still not aware but do not wipe or factory reset Note on stock ICS kernels, you will brick you phone.
