[Q] [Help]After trying to uptade 2.3.4

hi guys.
yesterday i try to uptode my LgP990 to 2.3.4 but i failed.
phone locked on s/w upgrade please wait while upgrading.
worse my telephone ran out of battery and it wont open again how much i try to charge it.
what should I do???

Just plug it in wall charger...or to a computer. It will charge.

if you think ur battery is charged enough...first try to enter into CWM(if your phone is already rooted)by pressing power+volume down buttons and you can restore if you have a backup.if not, flash a custom ROM or try an upgrade with LG tool one more time
incase nothing is working...try this...it is for devices which are bricked....

I tried but did not.i could charge it before update.Whatever happened after that was. AND I AM NOT A DUMB !!!!!!

i tried it before battery ran out but i could not.The thing that i do not understand why I can not charge it.i didnt broke sth in it or fall on the ground.Is software failure does not charge it? :/

[Q] bricked p990 lg optimus 2x

Right guys, i know youve read this alot. and i know your thinking i should have searched the threads for a sulotion, but belive me i have, for days.
heres my problem, i was flasing the leaked ics onto my p990. whilst flashing, my laptop ran out of battery and didnt give me any warning atall. and as a result of that, i now have i belive a bricked p990. this is the rom i was flashing:

right now i know i should be able to recover my phone as i can connect my phone and it recognises it as apx driver, but the trouble is i can put in updating mode. ( vol down and then inserting usb) i plug in the usb without the battery inserted and without pushing any buttons and it still recognises it as an apx device, knowing this, ive tried nvflash and smart flash but both have no effect and dont recognise my phone. i will add that the version of ics that is currently out leaked. is very smooth, unfortunately bluetooth pairing doesnt work properly and wifi is a bit weak, but theres a fix for that.
i have tried flashing a cwm but to no succes. i do know some things in android flashing and repairs, but admittidly not everything so im not a complete noob.
id very much apreciate it if anyone could help me.
youll have to excuse any typing mistakes. the resolution on the tv isnt that great from a laptop hdmi out. sorry guys.
but yes any help is much appreciated.

well, windows MUST recognize the o2x as an apx device since you would use the tegra apx applications processors...
you are saying that windows sees your o2x as an apx device but nv/smart-flash don't?

Unfortunately thats exactly whats happening. Any suggestions ? Ive just seen the comment below this.bive tried something similar tobthat. But not that. Ill try that first thing tomorrow when i wake up. thanks for a quick reply.

Thanks for this suggestion ibwill give it another go over tomorrow and let you guys know how it went. Although ive tried something similar to this but didnt succeed. But ill test it. I made a back up of gb 2.3.4 its on my laptop. Just need to copy it over to sd when its restored or got cwm on it.

Nvflash should do the trick. Follow the instructions carefully and you'll be back up in no time.

Leaked v20 to official v20

Im trying to go to official jellybean but it wont work. I tried using both methods stated in the rollback to v10 thread, but download keeps failing. I also tried upgrading with kdz file, but the phone wont get in to s/w mode without battery, i just get a random coloured screen(blue/green/purple/black/etc)
What should i do now ?

Those colour changes tell me that you're without battery...
Take out the battery, press "Vol-" and connect to PC, It won't work, almost sure of that... after, disconnect from PC.
put back the battery on the phone, press "Vol-" and connect to PC. It should work now.
Pay attention to the tutorial here:

Thank you for trying to help but it didnt work. I redownloaded everything from your post. I only get one port communicating and if i try with that port i get download fail. :/

[Q] Stuck on LG logo screen

So i factory rested the phone, then installed rom manager from google play and instaled CWM then pressed reboot to recovery and the phone turned off. Now when i want to turn it on it stucks on LG logo, tried all combination (i think so) but it but it shows LG logo then screen turns off. Anybody help?
Edit: I found out that i can turn my phone in SW upgrade and use Smart Flash Tool, but the problem is that none of the drivers are working, i tried about 10 of them, pc cant recognize my LG, anybody help?

I had this problem like 5 months ago
OK read this and follow the exact guide im doing it personally so that you dont have to search! kk
(for getting your phone working)
1.install the phone drivers from the website ( it might show on the com port thingy then )
2. flash only a gingerbread rom or froyo rom because the ICS rom is locked with a bootloader and will cause the lg logo thing all over again if you flash
3.From this link download the gingerbread rom( download the V20A from venezuela )( http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1 )then use the rom convertor ( go to this link for the guide on how to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144577 )
4. if it works, all you have to do is put a rom on your sd and go on with your life
( PS I suggest you try HUEXXX's IZS ROM or Marvel V9 as they both are really stable and works really well)
as for other roms

possible but not safe!
causes permanent brick if not done well ( i think )
your not detecting problems could be anything!
try reinstalling the drivers all over again
or try another computer!
and also the USB CABLE you are using should be lg ones
and if any lg ones dont work use your OB CABLE!!

Tried reinstalling drivers about 20 times;
Tried on another computer still the same;
Tried other (not LG) cable still the same
Today I was at local service center, they said that they cant fix it, so they sent my phone to a better service and they have some kind of box mobile phone fixing tool. Looking forward, that costs 10 to 15 euros. hopefully they fix it.

4xhd totally blocked out- help

hi folks, im a total novice , dont even know how to flash a phone, i have an lg 4x hd and its really blocked, hard reset etc doesnt do a thing, cant use touch scree, (digitizer ok), cant even connect to pc with usb cable, lg software doesnt find phone, when i turn phone on it goes to the android wizard start up screen, little waving green guy, with language - next and emergency calls, on screen, cant pass that screen, except for when leaving phone for a few hrs, i turn it on and its gone to an, lg accept user agreement screen, on its own, then thats the lot, cant progress further getting into phone, ive also tried, the power +vol up, and it still does nothing, ive also tried connecting a usb cable, whilst holding vol down, it goes to s/w upgrade screen but nothing happens , between phone and pc, have also tried nfc and android beam modes from another fully working 4x hd, still nothing happens, is the phone scrap, many thanks for any help

lol Sal you are the same pro as i am,why me ?
his problem is that he can't communicate with the pc. he needs the right drivers from lg and get to download mode and flash kdz. he should use the search box.
use search box then , for kdz method to restore p880 and search for drivers !!!! enter download mode and fix it ! the phone doesn't have any problem since you see that little green guy ( lol )

He means the search on this site.
For starters here are the latest drivers I found that are not included in another program:
p880 drivers 3.8.1
Please download and install them with your device not being connected to your pc.
When installation is done, connect your device and wait until it is identified by the new drivers.
So far so good? Please report if that worked.

adb fastboot drivers for windows
p880 usb drivers and lg bridge
lg flash tool if lg bridge fails
choose the right firmware and download it. only you know that.
kdz files

Search box is a box where we type to find something and its located in the upper right corner of the xda site.

can you boot into bootloader mode or not ?
if you find how and try it and if you get in bootloader mode,
at my next post i'll have your phone fixed.
if not, find a guide to flash kdz if lg bridge don't fix it for you.

thanks guys for help so far, i havent tried most of the things yet, as i havent done it before, am still having trouble getting the phone to connect to pc in s/w upgrade mode, the pc and lg software wont find phone, one thing on the screen of phone at the top is a symbol, i think its the android beam symbol, its like a book with 2 arrows, is that a problem or is it normal, thanks
