Now my Inc S comes with 3G at 900MHz ,Is it possible if I use other radio baseband to flash such as baseband from Canada which can use 3G at 850MHz.
Is there 2 kinds of them were separated by ability of hardward?
It's all hardware - Flashing wont help in this case.

Hi all, I've read that T-mobile Tab users are able to flash their tabs to the European firmware to enable the phone function? Has anyone flashed an asian firmware to be able to get the phone function too? Will it brick the T-mobile Tab upon flashing the Asian firmware on it? I guess its possible since the Asian firmware supports the 2100 band and you'll be able to get 3G out of it?
I guess the 3G will work if you are using the T-Mobile Tab flashed to an Asian firmware with a foreign sim and you are not in the US.
Hi! I would just like to ask if i can install I9000UGKG3 (Bell official GB firmware) to my international SGS i9000. I understand that I9000UGKG3 is for i9000M. The reason why i'm asking this is because i need a firmware for my phone that supports 850mhz as i am now in Canada.
I don't mind installing a more latest version of GB that supports 850mhz as well if someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
You only need to install the UCKG3 modem to get 850Mhz not the whole ROM.
Just flash the ZIP in CWM, you may need to enable 850Mhz in service mode
Hi, I had a P990 (who is simply un-brickable), so I'm comfortable with CWM, I ask to a friend who was passing by France to buy a i9305 for me, he bought one in SFR France, and delivered to me in Brazil.
Neither I or he knows if the phone has some type of carrier lock or something like that, the ROM is full of bloatware from SFR, I make the update on the phone over wi-fi (think it's called FOTA update, right) and now I'm on JB 4.1.2 version.
With *#1234# command, the info that shows is:
AP: I9305XXBMB4
CP: I9305AEBMB1
CSC: I9305SFRBMB1
Other info that could help:
Build Number: JZO54K.I9305XXBMB4
My problem is that trying to use my carrier in Brazil (VIVO), the phone has a very poor signal, it even sometimes in the signal strength at notification bar puts a Ø in place of the signal.
Other think that bugs me, is that in About device > Status, the field "My phone number" shows Unknown.
When I get the Ø in notification bar, if I go to About device > Status, the field "Service state" shows Disconnected, even if Signal Strength has more than 7 asu (think 7 asu is the minimum to get signal, right?)
So, my questions are:
1) Do I need to flash other ROM, CSC or modem, to get a good service in Brazil? Because phone is 100% stock from SFR France.
2) How can I know if the phone is carrier locked or something like that? If I flash a custom ROM, (like rXTREME) it will unlock carrier for me?
I have already make a backup of my IMEI using the tutorial in the DEV Section of our phone HERE and got the 250KB file.
Thanks for helping me =)

Flash modem and c|Sc for your carrier .
2) How can I know if the phone is carrier locked or something like that?
Ni network on any other sim .

NO

Ok, but I go to SamMobile to get a firmware for my country (Brazil) and no GT-9305 firmware was for Brazil, only GT-9305T.
I find that the only difference is the 4G signal that the international version has more bands (800/1800/2600) than the GT-9305T (1800/2600).
My new questions are:
1) What's the differences from GT-9305 and GT-9305T?
2) Can I flash a CSC and Modem of a GT-9305T on my GT-9305 (without T)? It will not brick my phone?
Nice question i was wondering that too if it was possible to do so ?!
Thx

as the title said is it possible?
i know for a fact both have the exact same RF chip the difference being that sprint has locked down 4G LTE radio firmware to only 1900 while AT&T has 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
im running 4.1.2 (1.29.615.10), Hboot 1.44, baseband 1.00.20.0315)
it is:
-unlocked bootloader
-S-OFF
-rooted
do i need to modify something or is it just a straight RUU flash?

You should be all set but make sure that your Model ID matches the ATT RUU.

I personally wouldn't try it, Sprint has a completely different partition layout!! just changing MID and CID won't change your partition layout.

No it won't work your phone will be bricked because of the different partition layout

Please don't answer if your not sure ... the Sprint phone is totally different inside it's a CDMA device and flashing a GSM RUU will most likely destroy it

whoops.. I didn't see you here but your dead on, you can kill a CDMA phone with a GSM RUU. theirs posts in both the AT&T section and the Sprint forums about this already

Is it possible to use the AT&T baseband (radio) firmware?
i need the other LTE bands as 1900 isn't supported when i go abroad overseas
No, that's not possible
im using the ATT basebands on the m7wls sprint variant, same mods as the OP, and i have no issue other than disconnects from tower to tower.
Hello.
Please help me solve the problem. I have XT1064, and 3G 1700 AWS do not work in my country. I want to try forcing the firmware from ХТ1063 by force, and everything even works out for me, except that in the settings - about phone, the modem version is always written old. On any firmware. Even with downgrade. How to flash a modem, and where can I get its files?
I tried a whole versions of modems (NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn) from different firmwares - but the firmware of the communication module is always the same version of MSM8626BP_1032.3116.99.00R RETUSA_AWS_CUST. I need a RETGB modem from XT1063.
Sure, i know about flashing modem from another model - may hardbrick my phone, in emergency case i have a programmer box. But only for restore, not for flashing.
