Hopefully were only gonna get to play with this for a little while . HURRY UP SPRINT AND GIVE ME SOME GINGERBREAD
You know the rules: Move to sd card wipe 3x and flash. And as always Make a backup and Im not responsible to anything going wrong with your phone. Have fun and enjoy
First off let me give some thanks for some people cause if it wasnt for them I wouldnt have been able to complete this.

dreamsforgotten for some help with apk manager
greenmuggy for testing this
So give them some thanks.
Warning This is a stock framework for themers to update there themes. If you flash this it will turn your system theme back to stock. This was tested on SFR 1.2. I haven't tested on stock EC05 or any other rom
To Theme Devs: The statusbar backround pngs have to stay transparent or the animation wont show on the pulldown
Ok to make this work I had to edit two files statusbar tracking.xml in twframework-res.apk and add in thefunkbots pulldown_background_anim.xml into the framwork-res.apk. Then I had to add the android0000-android0039 pngs into the drawlble-hdpi folder. The current mod holds 40 pngs for the animations and to change it you would have to edit the pulldown_backround_anim.xml to call for more or less animations. This will be up to the themers to decide if they want to add or delete them. Ive been running this for a few days and haven't come across any problems but green muggy has been testing and reports a couple random reboots during pandora streaming and reading emails. Ive tested both and didnt come up with any problems.
This mod includes the 6 lockscreens, reboot, 1% batt mod and black menus with the white font, It also has the android boot ani as the pulldown ani.
I'm not gonna make a theme so if you want this in a theme get with you favorite theme dev and have them update there theme
Edited files:
twframework-res.apk
status_bar_tracking.xml in the layout folder
Had to add android:background="@android:anim/pulldown_background_anim" to the first line of the xml to point to the pulldown_background_anim.xml in the framwork-res.apk
framework-res.apk
added the pulldown_background_anim.xml in the anim folderadded android0000.png-android0039.png in the drawable-hdpi folder
Video of it in action

If your looking for some other pulldown animations they made some in the fascinate fourms
Do Not Flash there zips. The pngs need to be transferred over to our framework.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14629944&postcount=1
Here is a Sprint network fix template for themers. Its the same as above only that it has the sprint network fix. Theme devs that do not want the pulldown ani all you have to do is change the statusbarbackround.png in twframework to whatever you like as long as it is not transparent. This is just a stock theme templete for themers. It also has the no ampm fix as well.
The only thing updated was the framework
http://www.mediafire.com/?iazd69zpl61yy34
EDIT: Also has the fix for the glass lockscreen to show new message instead of missed call and the right icon for missed msg, call and vm

So basically, in theory, all I have to do to incorporate this into a theme is to add these files?

Not really you have to rebuild the theme off this framework. Ive tried just adding the files in another theme and it just causes system wide fc's. All the edits had to be compiled together. To get the themes to work all you have to do is transfer the themes pngs into this framework. As long as they have not made any framework edits.

Its just like when maddoggin released his 6 lock screen mod. All the themes had to be updated to use his framework. So as long as we just transfer the pngs over and nothing else. (unless you decompile, edit and recompile) everything should work. The ffiles that I edited are the only diffrence between maddoggins mod and this one. So in as long as your using madds 6 lock framework for your base you should be able to transfer over the pngs. Ive done it with his simply blue and evrything is good for me.

Special Note: I no longer have my Fascinate (or any other at the moment), so theming is postponed until I get everything caught up and get a new Fascinate. My apologies, just a series of unfortunate events. I'll still be around keeping up and can help with questions and other themers as needed.
NOTE: I will be busy creating a new theme now that I figured out how to edit xmls to change font colors (now to figure out which edits are needed for the effects I want) *huge thanks to tiger4life for pointing me in the right direction).
I had to go all the way back to stock to get stock apks to work with since I accidentally overwrote my original backups *now I have redundant backups so that can't happen, gotta love terabyte drives Thanks to all who have or will use this theme and have donated. I appreciate it very much.
I have been slowly modding my Fascinate I thought it time I share what I have so far. My theme was designed for a DeOdexed system, you can load one of the already DeOdexed roms available or you can manually do it yourself, if you haven't already. I manually DeOdexed my sysem using the method found here.
Lots of pngs from the ANDRODeNa GaLaSSiA theme
Of course started with BlackMod by stanrc.
Added the 3G Round Signal Icon
Used the UOT Kitchen to get a modified Z series circle battery (pulled pngs from the created ROM)
a few files from the awesome work of thatdudebutch's awesome looking [Theme] Dark Gloss Mod, Thanks Brother!
I owe a huge SHOUTOUT to tiger4life for the (MOD) Add Reboot Option to Power Menu w/ the accurate battery option. Thank you my Man!
Big thanks to Reefermattness for the Darkness theme for the Captivate,
Additional thanks to frostman89's Nexttheme Airplane mode icons, and any other artist that I have not included because I have no idea where some of the files came from.
Theme attached adds the following new functions:
1. AppWidgetPicker
2. (MOD) Add Reboot Option to Power Menu
APK's Modified:
DialerTabActivity by CrushD (points to google Voice vs Visual Voicemail)
MediaProvider
Vending
Email (Menu 4 now)
Gmail (Menu 4 now)
framework-res
twframework-res
Also modifies Shutdown animation/video (Samsung vs Verizon)
I themed LauncherPro Plus with Ninjamorph (in Market), it is not included in this theme as I load it in system/app vs the default data/app location (it's my only launcher) and not everyone likes nor wants LauncherPro.
This is verified working on my system, I make no such guarantee for yours. You flash at your own risk. I accept no responsibly if your phone fails to start, dies a horrible death, explodes or any variation thereof.
Before you flash, MAKE A BACKUP. Your phone may take a bit longer to load after flashing, this is normal.
Also if you want the puzzle lock or sliding glass lock screens, follow the directions from this post. It works!
UPDATE: Minor tweaks, namely the puzzle lock screen. Made the sliding puzzle piece semi-transparent.
Attempted to change the phone keypad sounds. If anyone knows what xml's need to be modified I would appreciate it as I have not been able to locate where the changes need to be made, other than changing out the ogg files in "system/media/audio/ui".
UPDATE [10/07/2010] - V4.3 uploaded, due to size uploaded to alternate server now. (Link below screenshots) Themed email and gmail menu's. Few minor tweaks to framework and vending apk's. Removed earlier versions.
UPDATE [10/07/2010]x2 - Uploaded Storms Black Reboot Theme v5.0 - this is the same as v4.3 except it also includes the power options mod with working circle battery! Again thanks tiger4life!
UPDATE: [11/17/2010] - Been so busy creating new theme I spaced uploading updated version that has market buttons text fixed to white vs black on black. Version 5.2 available now. Also a huge THANK YOU! to sonofskywalker3 for adding this under his wonderful ROM!
Still to do:
1. Get text color fixed, still having issues.
2. Get reboot mod to work with accurate battery mod (anyone who can help will very much be appreciated) Thank you Tiger4life!
3. ?
If I helped you or you appreciate my work, please feel free to Buy me some time.

I agree, I have been attempting to find the xml(s) that affect the font color.
If you or any other can point me in the right direction that would be awesome, have spent days searching xda/google and combing through the xmls in the vending apk without success so far (obviously).
Looks awesome, nice work! Can I flash this over any rom?

As far as I know you should be able to, however I cannot guarantee since I have not tested on any rom.

I found this thread on droidforums.net showing an updated vending apk with white letters for the buttons. (h t t p://w w w.droidforums.net/forum/droid-concepts/70351-issues-theming-vending-apk.html)
"The buttons in the app pull from your framework. The buttons you see in the pic are from my theme."
Whether this will help or not I have no idea, personally i have no experience with editing xml's or themes at all... If you want anything tested just let me know.

Thanks, I will look into the framework xml's and see if I can find the right one. Right now tracking down my FC issue when releasing a call.
I installed this theme and now cannot sync my gmail account. Any ideas?
Edit: NVM, I just went through youtube as mentioned by another post on here. Great theme!

Happy you got gmail working... and thanks.
I just had a quick question. Extremely new to rooting so bare with me here...
Before I flashed this theme, i had the Remix Incognito theme posted under the theme section for the fascinate. I had that theme installed, and just flashed the Storm Blackish theme over the old one. Everything seemed to work great, except the "preferences" and "notifications" icon in the home screen menu didnt change and they are just grey. Also, the font from the old theme did not change to the font of the Storm Blackish theme. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for trying my theme. The "preferences" and "notifications" are controlled by LauncherPro and not by the framework. I used ninjamorph (available in market to replace those I'll attach them so you can to The are named appropriately for easy exchanging.
The fonts used are the same as what the fascinate ships with, I didn't change them, so the remix must have.

I didn't actually, it's a side effect of using the AppWidgetPicker apk, and not all of the touchwiz widgets show up, only the ones you see in the widget menu.
Hi guys,
This is a port of the Sense framework. It works with the theme chooser so it's easily updatable.
This theme was originally an experiment for me to learn/figure out the theme engine (I never intended to actually use it because I'm not a big sense fan), but many people liked it and I got a request for HDPI so I thought I'd just continue working on it as a proper theme.
The complete framework is themed, including status bar, notifications, icons, dialogs, buttons, progress bars, overscroll glow, keyboard, etc etc.
Get it here.
The old versions with black menus, etc etc. can still be found here. Remember to check the README file!!!
NOTE: This theme does NOT give you Sense widgets, nor does it let you use sense widgets from somewhere else. If you want Sense widgets, use a Sense ROM or find alternatives.
Credits
The cyanogenmod team and of course tmobile and the theme engine
HTC Sense
haxzamatic for his awesome theme chooser template - he rocks!!!
To install:
Install the file like a normal apk from a file manager.
Open theme chooser, find the one that says NTSense and hit apply.
It may show a popup saying resources are missing for your screen size. Hit apply anyway.
Don't worry about the popup if you're on MDPI/LDPI, it's there because some images are 'borrowed' from HDPI because there is negligible loss in quality and I'd rather save time porting EVERYTHING.
After applying, make sure you reboot to properly apply status bar changes.
NOTE: Due to limitations in the theme engine, system dialogs are not themed (volume dialogs, reboot dialog, etc). Same goes for the lockscreen.
Hit Thanks if you like it!
UPDATES:
[15/9] - Battery percentage version due to popular demand. Thanks to sigurd_LU for the images.
4.1 [5/9] - Themed dialog buttons, fixed text visibility on tabs, minor tweaks.
4.0b2 [20/5] - Much better keyboard, MDPI/LDPI music widget padding fixed, blue version now installable parallel to the green version (new previews), couple of other minor things.
4.0b [17/5] - Keyboard themed, music app themed, transparent notif background back, lots of minor changes. Beta for MDPI and LDPI.
3.1 [26/3] - New blue version!! Notification dropdown is no longer transparent (white).
3.0 [21/3] - Redid the theme using the "proper" way (using make, from source instead of apktool) - gets rid of the preview problem. Couple of minor changes... probably not noticable.
2.2 [10/3] - fixed black menu text.
2.2 [9/3] - Fixed quickcontact frames, fixed alarm icon. Removed notification power widget overrides so that the new icons now show up. Some other minor changes.
2.1 [??/3] - I don't remember since I forgot to update the changelog.
2.01 [6/3] - Got rid of previews to get rid of compile errors. Did quite a few of the requests. Fixed faulty supercircle charging animation. Supercircle versions still say 2.0 but I'm too lazy to recompile them
2.0 [3/3] - Some major cleanup, completely reverted the preview/wallpaper/ringtones to default, which means this now changes your ringtone and wallpaper again. This was the only thing I could find that was different in my theme from others so it's back, maybe this will fix compile errors. Also some other minor changes here and there.
1.9 [2/3] - FINALLY fixed the menu text color thing, so the sense style menus are back (thought this was worthy of upgrading version number)! Also some minor fixes here and there. This version still has the preview, so leave a comment if it gives you a compile error on your phone.
1.8b5 [1/3] - Lots of minor changes/fixes here and there, added settings and phone icons, animated sync icon, (hopefully) fixed compile errors for mdpi devices.
1.8b4 [27/2] - Fixed 2-3 MDPI bugs including faulty supercircle (again lol)
1.8b3 [27/2] - Added full MDPI support (ALPHA). Cleaned up several things. Fixed faulty supercircle mod. This theme no longer changes your wallpaper, but supports UpwardSpiral's theme chooser wallpaper app found on the market. Find the link at the bottom of this post.. Maybe some other stuff that I can't remember.
1.8b2 [26/2] - Added HDPI app icons and transparent notification dropdown. HDPI is now BETA.
1.8b [26/2] - Added HDPI support (ALPHA, thanks to jsmarble for giving me the EVO's framework-res.apk), made LDPI signal icon have a slightly taller fourth bar.
1.7 [25/2] - Themed keyboard, not sense style though, I couldn't get the text to be black. Will keep trying. For now, honeycomb keyboard with green highlights instead of blue. Looks cool imo
1.6 [24/2] - App icons now themed (included apps - browser, calendar, calculator, camera, clock, contacts, email, torch, gallery, messaging, music, maybe more to come), settings icons themed, added green overscroll (quite sensible IMO), and added colorful supercircle mod. This update changes the supercircle mod version's package name, you should uninstall it first and then install again.
1.5 [23/2] - Fixed USB Storage layout, stopped it from changing your ringtone.
1.4 [23/2] - More cleaning up, half the size again, added theme with standard battery icon as a separate package, both installable parallely. Added green progress bars, modded indeterminate progress bars to be smoother.
1.3 [22/2] - Major cleanup of unused backup resources, half the size now.
1.2 [22/2] - Menu text is a no-go, theme chooser throwing scary errors in logcat. Changed menu backgrounds to transparent black. (temporary). Fixed ProgressDialog background.
1.1 [21/2] - Made menu text at least readable, fixed menu border bug, added transparent notification dropdown
1.0 [21/2] - Initial release

Yes, that's because they are ldpi icons and will look crap on hdpi (which is double the resolution) I just need someone to post hdpi icons (or I might download an HDPI sense rom) so that i can add them in.
edit: downloading EVO stock rom now.
Man if u could do that it would be great I like this theme

whats the different between super circle and non super circle?
Supercircle mod is a circular battery indicator with battery % info.
Its actually a popular battery mod, not sure when it was originally made / who made it. will credit the maker if I fond out.
Edit: just realized that supercircle mod isn't working, lol silly me. Will fix tomorrow.

The Honeycomb 3D Project
Description:
A fully colored, "eye candy" style Honeycomb theme for all Android/cm7 devices with the new Theme Chooser application. This theme is based off bypass's aosp 3.0 ROM port and hax's "templatebread" with every stock gingerbread menu/settings/widget/app/status bar icon replaced with high-resolution 3D images from Honeycomb, Sense, MIUI, UOT, XDA and Google.
3 versions now on the market:
-Blue 3D icons: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mike.theme.hc3d3d
-3D icons w/ mock soft buttons: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mike.hc3dsb
-Tablet version: market link
I have spent hundreds of hours throughout the last few months perfecting this theme and its still far from being finished, but I've recently started working with zexcrazy (the creator of "Animated Eye Candy") who has done a ton of work helping me recompile the theme, fix the xml/.9 pngs, and optimize the files for mdpi; bkmo who has been compiling everything on linux and creating the new dialer, lockscreen, thin blue volume sliders, call screen and zipthemer addons; jjhiza who is creating the mock Honeycomb widgets, dock icons and homescreen layout; and nbeebe24 who got the xml files working for 1% battery increments. Without the incredible amount of free time these guys have dedicated to help me out, this theme wouldnt be anywhere near the level its currently at. I would also like to thank the entire Yoshi team who has been helping out by testing beta releases and giving advice when I get stuck, and haxzamatic for providing the template and guides for the new theme engine
If you like our work all I ask is you hit the "thanks" button after downloading and don't forget zexcrazy, bkmo, jjhiza, nbeebe, haxzamatic, shiwantha, yoshi, and bypass/nforce/google for the honeycomb port (where I got most of the images from). Send me a pm if you want to be added to the list or join the project on github, I'm welcome to anybody who wants to help the team make new additions or improvements And feedback is definitely appreciated because I know not everyone has the time (or desire) to figure out the theme engine. But even one icon or suggestion could make a huge difference so feel free to send ideas my way

Tablet version:
Installation:
*Read carefully*
1.download latest theme apk from the market:
-Blue 3D icons: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mike.theme.hc3d3d
-3D icons w/ mock soft buttons: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mike.hc3dsb
-Tablet version: market link
(Will install as separate versions)
-More colors coming soon
2. Open theme Chooser app and apply honeycomb 3D. The theme engine might say there's assets missing for your device but its lying. Hit that "apply anyways" button with your middle finger
*If the theme isn't showing up at all, your rom most likely came with the latest version of the theme Chooser app preinstalled and its has been having issues, so try scrolling between the themes slowly with your trackball and if that doesnt work, or if your rom didnt include the theme chooser app, here is a link for the apk that can be installed using any app installer: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/ThemeChooser.apk ***
4. Reboot and start looking through your new mini-tablet
5. Don't forget the hc3D extras zip and bkmo's new zipthemer/metamorph lockscreen, volume sliders, and themed reboot popups for mdpi! (see links below)
Instructions for addons:
Here's the zip file that includes all latest bkmods, jjhiza's widgets+dock icons, several new honeycomb wallpapers, all stock HC/3.0 app icons (for ppl who like those better than the blue tinted ones in the theme), the 3.0 music player port, maxthon (which is very similar to 3.0's browser), a honeycomb bootanimation, bootanimationutility.apk (for easily switching to new bootanimations), and a battery calibration app that I strongly suggest you install if experiencing any battery drain issues (completely unrelated to the theme but its a small apk so it doesn't really hurt)
1. Download the following file and extract its contents to your SD card or computer:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/hc3D Extras2.zip (5/18 update: latest zipthemer morphs; added more wallpapers, widgets, and icons)
*The current hc3D addons zip is about 13mb whereas bk's zip is only .5mb, so if space is an issue you can download bk's latest zipthemer/metamorph zip separately here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/hc3d-mdpi-morph-26.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/HC3D-lock-addon-hdpi-morph-21.zip
and you can find the rest separately on xda or send me a pm *
2.For bk's themed lockscreen, reboot popup, and volume sliders download one of the two above links, and apply only the files in HC3D-lckmorph-mdpi-26/hdpi-21.zip to your rom framework by using zipthemer or metamorph. If you have never done this before or need instructions, see this post by Dont Panic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12497564&postcount=3
3. (ADW, LP, GO launcher): Long-press each of your dock icons and press edit, then select your desired app shortcut/action and icon from the gallery.
4. For jjhiza's widgets/icons you will need to use the "desktop visualizer" app temporarily while we are working on incorporating them into the theme. Separate DL zip: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/JJH HC Layout.zip
For detailed instructions and original files see this thread by jjhiza: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13248666#post13248666
5. Honeycomb wallpapers can be applied from homescreen *located in gallery (wallpapers folder) after unzipping hc3Dextras2 file*
6. Install the Google 3.0 music player apk with any app installer
7.BootAnimation.apk and BatteryCalibration.apk can also be installed using app installer if you want or need them Do not unzip the bootanimation, just use that app tool or swap using root explorer.
8. Some nice transparent and blue market, gmail, facebook apks thread can be found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877510
To do List:
-Optimize for HDPI
-Add remaining menu popup icons
-improve 3.0 UI
-add rest of themed apps/widgets
-Touch-up images
-add honeycomb keyboard layout
-
Its still a work in progress but more is being added on a daily basis, and again, please feel free to make suggestions (especially now while we're still adding icons). V3 will be done in a few weeks with full colored menu icons as well as a blue version (and maybe other colors when the theme is complete) for those who like the current blue icons like I do And if you want to make modifications, send me a pm and Ill see about adding them to the theme or OP! I am also currently looking for more devs with experience in xml or the theme engine to incorporate some bigger changes, so if you have time and are interested in joining the team let me know!

Thanks for the feedback, I've been thinking about downsizing the settings icons from 48x48 to 32x32 so that should hopefully solve the first problem. As for the status bar I'm still selecting new icons and matching up colors, so if u see any that look out of place let me know now while I'm changing them, or if u see any icons online that look better send them my way

This is actually a common issue with the most recent version of the Theme Chooser. You can replace it with a working version by installing the theme chooser apk i provided in the op, but some people have been able to get it working by using the trackball to slowly scroll between themes and the name will show up. We didn't add a preview picture yet tho because it needs to be done on Linux for them to work on all devices. Just try scrolling between between the themes first and if that doesn't work install the previous version of theme chooser

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys I really appreciate it.
@phillip_viado The wallpaper from the screenshot should be the stock wallpaper for the theme, but if its not automatically showing up here's the image:
@m4ver1ck I've actually been thinking about changing the GPS toggle icons to something else too because that globe might be kinda confusing, so ill definitely include it in the next release.
@haroldlancegoco I believe most things are showing up correctly but jjhiza is the only one on the team currently able to test on hdpi, and the other day he said a couple more of the menu pop-up icons were still stock and some of the icons looked bigger in landscape mode... so I'm pretty sure it will work for the most part but let me know what doesn't so I can make sure to fix it on the next update

I like this theme, it really has potential. I have already done an MDPI addon morph for it. It morphs lockscreen and clock font, volume, phone-options popups, and has new animations. Take it for a spin if you want. Just noticed the call answer screen didn't get my transparent changes because of all the jog_ graphics in the theme overriding the transparent ones in the morph.
These buttons look distorted on my MDPI Aria. Are you sure that frameworks_res_btn_circle_normal.png is from an MDPI device?

Wow EXCELLENT job man! This is exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I had the apk fully working. Ill check it out right now and put the link in the op. We could actually use someone with more experience in creating metamorphs (especially with the lockscreen) if you're interested in joining the project. I really want to add the honeycomb font/silver-blue glow to the status bar clock and try to incorporate the dock popup menus and freemoving "wave" honeycomb lockscreen (which will take a lot morework but I have the files we would need). Send me a pm if u want to help us work on some of the other things we have in mind. The theme apk is really just the framework for all the mods we want to add, so this initial release is really just the first stage of the honeycomb 3D project.

it should work for mine bc i use transparency & the pulldown bg has to be completly trans for this to work bc the ani actually plays behind the pulldown but i dunno crap bout editing xml files i kno it either has to be baked in with the theme or a flashable zip that has to be themed to whatever theme your using i made you a version of my theme with a completely trans pulldown if you think it will help & im reading up on it & you hafta modify twframework-res & maby framework-res also which is what i had to do to get my current pulldown to work right
heres another link that just might help with the compiling prob u have & it has a flashable download but its for the Samsung Fascinate so i dunno what itll do to the epics pulldown toggles

I have been messing with it for hours now and no matter what I do it will never recompile twframework-res.apk.... I tried what that guy said in that post but that doesn't work either... I can get framework-res.apk to recompile fine but if I change the stuff to go there it force closes everything on the phone...
Ill keep playing with it though

I've been reading more, & don't try to mod framework-res.apk those bg are only for the status bar not the pulldown.....which is why your getting force closes, the only file that needs modded is in twframework-res.apk there's 2 bg's & only one of em needs the mod I think its called statusbar-backgroung.9.png
