Decadence ROM
This release is based on CM7 Nightly roms.
This is a personal rom and i want share it with xda users. I'm working for a functionally and very smooth rom.
I will try to go up the already fast CM7. The changes will be exclusively dedicated to the lightness and performance of the ROM.
I will use only the best CM7nightly, to minimize bugs and always have a rom with the latest updates.
I'm working to a personal kernel. When it will be ready i post it here and include it on my rom!
Thanks at all!

As it's based on CM7 will it need a full wipe?

What connection are you uploading it on, 56k?
On a serious note, i'm looking forward to the new market, it looks pretty cool.
Also, what have you modified to increase mobile data speeds?

sorry, i have found a bug in my package...i'm resolving it...

i will release a small and exential kernel with ext4 support(after that mi rom release will format your data and system partition to ext 4. i will not add the OC features: is absolutely useless and harmful
if u want you can use vorkKernel or any other.

I'm not downloading this one yet but will be keeping a close eye on your kernel dev progress. Hope it will be stable, fast and not so battery draining

GreenDroid + JIT > EleganceSwift 2.1/4.1
why V20B? v20C - v20E are best, no?
No...
V20C+JIT=Bootloop
V20B+JIT=Speed x2
In V20C tethering not work...
But in V20B work
V20B without JIT is faster than V20C
In V20C not work z4root and other rooting apps
Only + in V20C - Updated apps ... but I update all gapps in this rom

As I know it's also the latest 2.1 release. It's a shame, that there are no other devs, who optimize the official LG Rom with newer Kernel and other tweaks. I think such releases are the most stable ones.

there is no 2.1 ROM in development anymore.. but there were so many but now gingerbread is nearly the only one just a little bit froyo and soon there will be only gingerbread a little bit and much Ice cream sandwich. The good thing is that the fragmentation isn't that high on custom ROMS as in official releases. there are still devices running 1.5 and I know one

greendroid was better, i think.
I think as both ROMs have the same base, patryk95juve tweaked ES5.0 even better than GreenDroid (the release is 2 month older).
yes, but... greendroid support swap, and init.d scripting and elegance 5 don`t.
Thats true, but ES5 uses optimized kernel.
patryk95juve planed to bring a new version, but unfortunately he never did.
Dont think so, it use miroslav kernel. btw, you can use any kernel you want with elegance 5 (miroslav, pcfighter, quarks) and enable swap, and init.d support.

kernel development is not easy at all... but it is very easy to change kernel on rom. You need boot.img or update.zip with working kernel you want to use and just use fastboot/recovery to flash it.

Love the Rom but have some bug reports. Force closes in settings>phiremod settings. And another force close when trying to open the browser.... which is weird. I tried wiping and fixing permissions. Still nothing.

[ROM] Shady [SENSE][THEMED][SMOOTH]

SHADY SERIES
Hey guys, I decided to release a SENSE based ROM for our WILDFIRE.
This is totally stripped!

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
FEATURES:
*Totally Stripped(110 mB only)
*Kylon Kernel:Track its updates
*Awesomely themed(Check Screenshots)
*Faster USB mount
*Task killer Tweak
*Made some apps transparent(Alpha stage)
*Faded some text in SETTINGS.
*Smoothness script
*Odexed!
*Supports APP2SD
*Surface Dithering,Scroll CACHE Tweak included.
*You can find a lot of things here
*More to come.
NOOB-PROOF FLASH GUIDE:
1. Get a new recovery.(3+)
2. Wipe DALVIK, BATTERY STATS, DATA, SD-EXT, CACHE.
3. Ensure you have partitioned SD CARD
4. Flash the ROM, Flash the KERNEL-UPDATE.
5. Reboot.
Tips:
Performance:
1.Must See.
2.Set CPU frequency to 710-748 mHz with performance as governor and sio(/or noop) as scheduler.
3.Wipe Dalvik every weekend, gives a lot of boost
4.If you can, substitute init.d scripts for overclocking rather than apps like no frills.
5.Install Juwe RAM script.
6.Keep caches cleared, delete apps that work almost the same(ex HTC MAIL & G-MAIL.)
7.Delete googlecalendersync.apk,googlecontactsync.apk and market updater.apk if you do not need them.
Battery:
1.Set frequency of 3xx-6xx mHz. Set a low frequency profile for night "if you aren't nocturnal".
2.Disable SYNC'ing.
3.Turn airplane mode on at night.
4.Turn off Mobile Data if it isn't needed.
5.Get Wakelock detecting app from Play Store and uninstall apps that wake the phone frequently.
6.If the phone overheats, leave it aside and come back later, phone looses much more power when heated and the cpu might be stressed(as all people have overclocked it.)

Hey.
I was working on the same.
I'm thinking of making seperate flashable zip for trans status bar for those who want it.
As for gestures this has launcher pro which can be used for gestures(the dock icons).
Sorry for not releasing download link, yesteday I was almost done uploading when I saw an issue(6 recent apps gave a reboot so had to remove it).
Ill try to make it fast, and if anyone has any suggestions you can post them b4 I upload the first version.
Thanks @drewniany92.
That's pretty see you here with a new ROM Gobz!
Sure that it is a great ROM!
Link is out now!
Looks good..trying it soon!
As its stripped,you could name it Slim Shady! :laugh:
to the test
:thumbsup:
@Wasimk32 @infernale
Report what you think.
Slim Shady = awesome!
installed with cwm v4: all right up to the start, or restart then when I click settings, or, if not I click anything, it hangs on the home.
I have to remove the battery to turn off.

Reboot fixed it.
For me the rom which you posted here is better than this...
CM Performance Settings menu for SD Read Cache Speed don't work on my phone... when I change the speed cache to 3072 then check in sys/devices/virtual/dbi/179.0/read_ahead_kb it's still reads the default value of 128
I'm not quite sure, but the problem might be in the ramdisk in the init.gt-s5570.rc.
Line 25 - 28
on boot
# Tweak SD card cache
write /sys/block/mmcblk0/bdi/read_ahead_kb 128
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Try to edit init.gt-s5570.rc in the boot.img
If you have a look at init.rc in the ramdisk you see the following values:
Line 296 - 302
# Define TCP buffer sizes for various networks
# ReadMin, ReadInitial, ReadMax, WriteMin, WriteInitial, WriteMax,
setprop net.tcp.buffersize.default 4096,87380,110208,4096,16384,110208
setprop net.tcp.buffersize.wifi 4095,87380,110208,4096,16384,110208
setprop net.tcp.buffersize.umts 4094,87380,110208,4096,16384,110208
setprop net.tcp.buffersize.edge 4093,26280,35040,4096,16384,35040
setprop net.tcp.buffersize.gprs 4092,8760,11680,4096,8760,11680
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
This stands against the following in the build.prop
net.tcp.buffersize.default=4096,87380,256960,4096, 16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.umts=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.gprs=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.edge=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
(Which is badly misspelled by the way...)
If someone could please clarify for me which values will be applied.
Regards
Wooaarr

In terms of performance and batery life what's better, this room or cm10.1?
I've just installed this - looks nice thanks.
Couple of things:
The "check for updates" section force closes on me.
Trying to change the Speech to Text (which I want to use) Force closes.
Are these known issues, and are there any suggested fixes?
Many Thanks,
Tim
