No, don't install Incredible 2 ROMs on an Incredible S. They won't work because although the phones look very similar there are important differences in the hardware. There's an MIUI port for the IS in the Android Development section of this forum.

Ok. Thanks

To anyone thinking of giving it a try, I'd recommend it as a great improvement over the stock browser.
has anyone tried installing the apk onto the gingerbread rom?
I tried and it couldn't be installed on gingerbread.(I'm using cm7 now)But I used to try it on ics,and it works.

Yeah that's, the right one. I use ADB as it's easier and ppl have a higher success rate with it. But obviously it's your choice....

Ye, the ics radios are working with gb. Ur radio is one of the most popular. But rmbr, every1 doesn't live where u live so test it out. If you get 3 to 4 bars its good

I myself have been using the 17.00.24_M radio w/ Playground ICS for about a week now (optus also).
I can't say that I've experienced any issues as of yet, so I guess that's a good sign.
Havn't noticed any improvement in reception or battery life that I can pinpoint for sure but I havn't had a problem getting good/full reception here in South-East Melbourne, Australia.
The .29M ROM Works great with Gb ROMs and the radio in my signature works great with ICS ROMs also.... You may choose from .29 M or from the radio as given in my signature.

No.
Only ports can be like venom Rom. It's due to the signal difference cdma etc.

That's because the VivoW supports both CDMA and GSM where as the Vivo/IncS only supports GSM.

HTC vivid ril

I have an HTC Vivid, and I have the sense 4 port on it, which most of us know that the ril is broken... Well the ril is broken because of the system its self. Now my question is, can we make a new hybrid software? With android 4.0.3 and sense 4? Or can we just use the ril from sense 3.6? Please any ideas or suggestions will be taken seriously, it's time the vivid becomes the phone it was meant to be

If that was possible I'm sure a dev would have done it. Sense frameworks is really complicated

I was under the impression that with ICS or JB that you didn't need a RIL, at least that is how it was with the HTC Inspire.
Anyway you can try GetRil from the market, that is what I used. So hopefully it's the same for the Vivid
