[Q] Vivow roms on Vivo ? - HTC Incredible S

Hey bros, is it possible to flash Vivow roms on my Vivo ? In dire need of a proper JB rom :/
Sorry for the noon question :x
Sent from my Incredible S using xda app-developers app

No.
Only ports can be like venom Rom. It's due to the signal difference cdma etc.

What if the developer states that its Global? There's an option to switch between GSM/CDMA in the rom :x just asking.
Its on the Development section of Verizon Droid Inc 2 btw, bug-less JB rom

Oh ..... Well I'm sure it probs wouldn't work as we don't have kernel source code.
Could you post a link to the Rom.....

That's because the VivoW supports both CDMA and GSM where as the Vivo/IncS only supports GSM.

No, don't install Incredible 2 ROMs on an Incredible S. They won't work because although the phones look very similar there are important differences in the hardware. There's an MIUI port for the IS in the Android Development section of this forum.
Ok. Thanks

can you please tell me if this is the one ?

Yeah that's, the right one. I use ADB as it's easier and ppl have a higher success rate with it. But obviously it's your choice....

Can that radio also be used on a GB based ROM ? Cyanogenmod to be exact ?
Also , you can see the current radio in my signature - is it any good ? , I don't know which one should I use... ?

Ye, the ics radios are working with gb. Ur radio is one of the most popular. But rmbr, every1 doesn't live where u live so test it out. If you get 3 to 4 bars its good

I myself have been using the 17.00.24_M radio w/ Playground ICS for about a week now (optus also).
I can't say that I've experienced any issues as of yet, so I guess that's a good sign.
Havn't noticed any improvement in reception or battery life that I can pinpoint for sure but I havn't had a problem getting good/full reception here in South-East Melbourne, Australia.
The .29M ROM Works great with Gb ROMs and the radio in my signature works great with ICS ROMs also.... You may choose from .29 M or from the radio as given in my signature.

HTC vivid ril

I have an HTC Vivid, and I have the sense 4 port on it, which most of us know that the ril is broken... Well the ril is broken because of the system its self. Now my question is, can we make a new hybrid software? With android 4.0.3 and sense 4? Or can we just use the ril from sense 3.6? Please any ideas or suggestions will be taken seriously, it's time the vivid becomes the phone it was meant to be

If that was possible I'm sure a dev would have done it. Sense frameworks is really complicated

I was under the impression that with ICS or JB that you didn't need a RIL, at least that is how it was with the HTC Inspire.
Anyway you can try GetRil from the market, that is what I used. So hopefully it's the same for the Vivid

Yeah but since its sence 4.1 wouldn't the kernal write to different areas that a 3.6 kernal doesn't.? And no reason to be snobby.

You can use most of the roms without s off the only downside is that every time you install a new Rom you have to flash the boot image separately using fastboot.
