Hey everyone,
I'm having an issue and I was wondering if you guys can help.
It's Launcher Pro +, after installation it runs perfectly smooth, really beautiful, however after a week or so phone crashes and it doesn't boot anymore, it gets stuck right on the first screen.
I've tried in various ROMS and keeps happening the same thing, I have to restore a backup previous to LPP, and I think but not certain that only happens when I activate the Pro or paid version.
Any ideas...???
BTW
I'm on Darky's 10.1
The kernel I think we can skip it cause it happenend on different ones.
Thanks in advance.

hello all, I have a droid one, love the cell! I have a few problems with it i would like to see if anyone can help me out with. first, I used the manual FB01B update from google to update my totally stock 2.1 cell. then used Easyroot and rooted my phone. no problems. I looked around at different roms and decided I really just like froyo and would rather it just run faster. So I decided to load up a kernel from P3 and Oc it using setCPU. I'm using the low voltage 125 kernel with it set for ondemand. I set it after a lot of trial and error to 400/900. but with this setting it still has problems and slows down and gets a bit crazy when going back to the home screen. It will freeze up for 10 seconds with no icons or anything. then slowly come back. I'm thinking of restoring back to factory then updating to froyo without rooting. whats the easiest way to do this? I did use search and didnt find a good wrote up on it. when setting it back to factory will it wipe the p3 kernel and install the stock one? thanks for the help in advance.
What Home Screen Launcher are you using??? Might just be redrawing the home screen everytime depending on what your settings are.
stock launcher. I put a different kernel in this morn and it has seemed to help some. doesnt do the lag near as bad if at all now. im wondering if the low voltage kernel and maybe lack of memory space was culprit,
Hi All
I have yesterday updated my T-Mobile UK Galaxy S to Froyo using the regedit method.
All seemed good and I was very pleased with myself for doing it!
But....
Since the upgrade I have had many Force Close's and there seems to be a fair amount of lag.
The main issue is the messaging app opens but when you go to open a message it FC's.
I am running Launcher Pro so will try running standard Samsung launcher for a bit.
Anyone else had this?
Do a factory reset!!
Yeah I too had loads of problems after the upgrade like you. Very slow, crashing, reboots. Although TWlauncher never worked properly for me before, even on 2.1.
Did a factory reset using the 3button reboot and it's been fine since. I was surprised that this didn't clear the memory card, so still have all my files - which I wasn't expecting.
Thanks guys that did the trick.
And forced me into a bit of phone housekeeping as well!
Woa, haven't been to XDA for years... Anyway, to the point.
When my i9000 was passed on to my mother I left the ROM-scene and stuck with Stock on my new phone.
Before I gave my mother my old one though I did a complete clean install of AllianceROM XXJW4 Base
(2.6.35.7-I9000XXJW4-CL1043937, [email protected] #DarkCore_4.5_JW4).
It has worked just fine for the longest time. Just recently though issues have plopped up.
Seemingly at random the launcher seems to restart. Standing on home it will suddenly go black, render up home again, go black, etc. During this I cant press anything on home. I can open the power menu and I can force a shut down of the phone. This resolves the issue temporarily, but it quickly returns.
At first it only did this for a few seconds then continued as normal, but now it keeps flickering for over a minute, sometimes it even seem indefinitely and I have to restart it. The launcher used is the TouchWiz bundled in the ROM. My mother refuses to use another launcher so I have not been able to deduce if this issue appears for other launchers as it is pretty random, so I can't reproduce it quickly.
I would like to find a solution for this which does not require a wiping re-flash or some-such. My mother is very reluctant to lose her application data and there is some issue with the root so Titanium Backup just keeps throwing errors at me, and I can't update the binaries using Superuser, it just fails.
Is it feasible to flash a Stock Samsung ROM from AllianceROM without wiping data? Or do you guys have any other suggestions what to try?
Only read the first part of this post, it shows how you can lock the launcher in home memory in GB:

Thanks, I'll look into that! Sounds as if that might be the issue.
Hey all, got a problem which needs solving - haven't been able to figure this one out myself.
Okay, here's the dealio:
I'm running CM 12.1 nightly on my HTC One (m7) device and haven't really had any problems which proved to be as hard to solve as this one. My launcher - i use ADWLauncher -constantly crashes no matter what I do (Trebuchet is acting no differently).
Also noteworthy, many areas of my settings are unreachable (such as settings->apps) as they immediately crash upon attempting to access them as well. I've tried numerous methods to fix this annoyance to no avail.
This has been ongoing for over a week now although yesterday my launcher worked flawlessly for a good 8 hours (just the launcher, the other crashables within 'settings' were still crashing. And now for some reason a selection of my apps are crashing as well.

Do not expect nightly builds of CM to be stable and bug free. You should only flash a nightly build if you are ready to deal with various bugs. I would try the latest stable or at least snapshot build (if available) and see if you have the same problems.
I hadn't upgraded for a few days when this started which leads me to believe it's not cm's fault but I'll take your advice and give a go with a stable then post my results. Thank you for your time [:=
Got it
Turns out it was an application I had installed causing some sort of confliction. Managed to uninstall it (after a whole lot of messing around due to being unable to access most of my system) and everything has been working just fine ever since.
The app was SD Maid.......
Hi all
So far I've been sticking to custom N7 ports since I want to have native S-Pen support and the Pro Mode for the camera. I also am looking for one that supports Google Assistant/Screen Search. I don't use the S-Pen that often, but I'd be damned if I didn't have it.
Norma ROM was good and snappy, but its custom ROM controls overrode the Google app, and changing it in the custom controls doesn't work. It also uses the stock Note 4 camera. Disappointing it didn't port the camera.
TWIZtd was good for the single day I was able to use it. It's actually an S7 port with S-Pen features. Installing it was a pain- I was told to flash the ROM, xceed kernel, and SuperSU 2.78 sequentially- and didn't even boot the first 3 trials. By some stroke of luck it booted one time on the fourth trial. I did nothing different, and it booted quicker than I had let the other times go on. Made a backup, and continued along my way. Randomly overnight it broke Viper4Arise. Restoring from the backup and reinstalling Arise did not fix it. After a clean wipe and reflashing in the same procedure as before, it sticks on the boot screen for over 30 minutes. The only thing that could've been different is that I left it unplugged the first time it booted completely. That shouldn't affect booting, right? If anyone knows what's going on let me know please.
So yeah- I'm looking for a ROM that has:
Native S-Pen support
Pro Mode for camera
Google Screen Search and Assistant / Doesn't disable it (so not Norma)
Marshmallow
Can be N5 or N7 or whatever else.
TWIZtd seems to be the one but it just doesn't want to boot.
Thanks in advance
