[Q] Getting remote: not allowed when flashing splash image thru fastboot - myTouch 3G Slide Themes and Apps

I am trying to flash a new splash screen to my rooted T-Mobile mytouch 3g slide thru fastboot and getting "remote: not allowed", my bootloader shows following information:
ESPRESSO PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-1.02.0000
MICROP-620
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0104
RADIO-7.15.35.16
Nov 26 2010, 20:43:01
I am currently on latest CM-7 nightly 128 and have been regularly applying nightlies, i had applied OTA Froyo 2.2.1 by HTC sometime back but was able to re-root again thru one-click method.
What could be the problem, is there something wrong with my HBOOT? I had also flashed mtd0.img provided in espresso-eng.zip at Cyanogenmod's wiki for this device and it was successful, but still getting the same error.
Any help please is appreciated.

Sorry, assumed you had a Dream 100 32b. I'm not entirely sure it will work, and if it does you probably need a different dreaimg.nbh file?

I used the RC29 and RC7, but i get the same error.
I can't also downgrade to andorid 1.1 because i get an error(Installed aborted).
I wonder if you can try downgrading to cupcake (1.5) and try the 1 click root method that flashes cyanogen+jf recovery image?

Rogers Phone Stuck as TMobile - Can't Flash

Hello All,
I've been looking through all the threads here and can't find an answer as to how to get my phone to work properly. I tried to do the one-click root for rogers as outlined in one of the threads here, but something went wrong. Couldnt get my phone past the rogers screen. I then loaded DREAIMG.nbh and was able to get my phone to a working state, however now its a TMobile phone and I don't know where to go from here.
The main issue is that i'm running HBOOT 0.95.0000 so there's no flashboot on the phone so I can't load anything and any update file I try fails. Specs as follows:
Model Number: T-Mobile G1
Firmware version: 1.0
Baseband Version: 62.33.20.08H_1.22.12.29
Kernel Version: 2.6.25-01843-gfea26b0 [email protected]#6
Build Number: kila-user 1.0 TC4-R29 115247 ota-rel-keys,release-keys
When I start up (CAMERA + POWER) I get the following settings (on red/green/blue/white screen *sigh*)
DREA210 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29
Sep 2 2008
Serial 0
I called Rogers and they said that they would send me a replacement but that I may have to pay for a brand new phone which would be upwards of $600, definitely not worth it.
I don't know where to go from here, I just want my phone to work properly (right now the interface blows, even messaging it puts all my messages at the bottom and new messages at the top of the thread, which makes no sense). I don't care whether the phone ends up being a TMobile that works on Rogers (as long as I have 3G access as I'm paying for it, and right now I'm on Edge) and the functionality of the phone is good.
I'm unable to update the HBOOT version from 0.95.000 and this is what I really want to do - I figure that if I can get a newer version (even 0.95.000 that has the fastboot function) than I can update to 1.33 and update my firmware from there.
I've tried running the update on HTC/Rogers website but it does not recognize the USB device so the upgrade fails... I've installed the drivers for the phone but I think because the drivers are for 1.5/1.6 its not recognizing the phone.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance
Root the phone.
Install HardSPL.
Run Rogers RUU.
What method should I use for rooting since I don't have the flashboot available?
And should I use Rogers Root method or regular G1 root method?
So I used the RC29 root and installed HardSPL, however the Rogers RUU will not run, I get an error message... as opposed to above, now I get this when I do CAMERA + POWER

Seeing as how the Rogers RUU won't work, is there another version that will work? or that will allow me to get the phone back to rogers standard?
Here is your solution
Bor, i had same problem and i ended up with MOSHI electronics in Pacific mall.................
Have you figured anything out because the same thing happened to me. I need to fix this any help would be awesome!
guys this same thing happend with me however i somehow solved the problem.
so heres what happend with me and what i did...
i rooted my g1(rogers) and then the phone was slow so...i found amon-ra as recovery i flashed it then installed dwang but my phone soemhow got bricked! in panic i used to GOOGLES method to unbrick my phone with Dreaming.nbh....
then when i started my phone g1 screen came up...and i wasnt able to connected to any network. so u have to put apn by urself.... so its name: Rogers apn: internet.com username: wapuser1 password: wap
u will now be able to at least come to home screen.
now what i did is i upgraded my build number. untill rc33 (but u may not need to)
after which i downloaded flashrec (if u used the method above as u mentioned u must have used it) if u have then what u do is back up and then download and flash the rom it shows. magically after doing this i rebooted my phone and ended up with the radio i was on and the rom i was on... everything came back to normal except i no longer get ROGERS SCREEN but t-mobile g1. HOWEVER I DONT KNOW FOR SURE THIS WILL WORK BUT FOR ME I WAS MAGIC and since it was fixed i didnt bother looking for the logic behind it lol.
then i just reflashed amon-ra (older version) latest one dun seem to work for me...then flashed dwang latest rom and since been runing fast fast fast....however once installed dwang i didnt have 3g coverage i had to redo the APN manually then it started working.
u can try all this but no gurantees it just worked for me.
u can try ROOTING it as if it was a T-mobile phone. methods are so much simpler....less time consuming and u can end up with a good rom. now i dont know how to go back to the original state. oh and ROGERS RUU dont work. so yea...
Rogers/G1 Dream Boot Loader issue
Hi,
I'm having a similar problem to this post. My phone is on Rogers, but I accidentally loaded the T-Mobile .nbh file. Now my phone is stuck on the boot loader, Red/Green/Blue screen, telling me the following information:
DREA210 PVT 32B RUUNBH
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29

I've looked all over the place and haven't found the exact same problem as this. Normally people are saying 'reroot' the phone, but I can't get out of the boot loader to the console, even with the battery 100%++ charged. When I try to load different .nbh files' it either comes back with 'Not Allow', or says the file is corrupt.
I've tried different .IMG files but when the phone boots, it says .IMG file not found.
I think the main problem is not being able to get out of the boot-loader and into the console.
If anybody could assist, that would be great.
Thanks,
RDHG

Dude, you DO NOT WANT the robbers standard. It is crippled and WAY too far out of date.
It's better the way it is, but your radio is hopelessly out of date.
I suggest you go to developer.htc.com/adp.html, grab the latest radio and img-14721.zip from there and follow their FASTBOOT instructions to install them.
You may (or may not) also like/need a proper recovery to work the radio image. Cyanogen recovery 1.4 is nice -- there are others around that are newer, but I'm not familiar with them. Search for it and install via fastboot (which is a function of that hardspl you installed).

You don't want a console. You want to boot into android normally and run the "1-click-root" application.
can you get into any type of recovery mode? powering on with home + power

Need help Root Rogers G1

I just got my replacement G1 (I bricked my last one, stupid move on my part) and it is a referb.
Hboot says:
PVT 32B
1.33.0010 DREAM21000
CPLD-4
Radio 3.22.26.17
So I thought this should be easy to root, but Zinx's Recovery Flasher won't work.
Backup gives - Backup FAILED: Could not run command. I don't really care I don't need a backup.
Clicking Flash gives - Flash FAILED: Could not run command.
Any suggestions?
I thought that since it was still 1.33.0010 all would be good, but no dice.
Also I tried to do the goldcard method but I am not really sure how this works. I created the goldcard... but I don't know how to get the .nbh file onto the card after it has been made into a gold card...
Suggestions please.
If your build number in settings, about phone is 1.89.631.1 you are running Rogers latest firmware update which currently is not rootable.

[Q] How to stop white screen loop HTC Vivid?

I tried this amazing work but I guess that I did some wrong because the phone boot and stop at the htc white screen. I search about this issue at the forums but I am uncertain about what and how to do. When I use All in one, I did each step till flash holicakes and then stock. Now i read at fastboot: unlocked / holiday pvt s-on rl / hboot- 1.83.0014 / microp-0360 / eMMc-boot/ sep 21 2011. Thanks in advance!
It sounds like a boot-loop. Try flashing back to a stock kernel and rom using fastboot. Were you upgrading to ICS? Probably flashed the wrong kernel in hasoon's tool.
Hope it helps.
Same thing happened to me when flashing a the holicakes kernel. I relocked the bootloader and found my carriers RUU on XDA to restore it to stock.
Make sure the kernel that you have matches your current ROM. Boot loop generally happens when you have unmatching kernel and ROM.

[Q] Trying to resurrect a Verizon Incredible 2: S-On Core Stock

I need some guidance on trying to resurrect an HTC Incredible 2 (Verizon) that is currently a stock unit (never rooted or unlocked) that will not boot - gets stuck on white HTC screen. The person using it, went and upgraded to another device and was about to throw the unit out until I decided to take one crack at a rebuild.
I can get into the HBoot screen and have attempted numerous factory resets to no avail... system will simply show a progress bar that never moves.
I've been searching this board and can't seem to get a clear way to get a full image back onto the phone. I've tried some of the moves to copy a RUU file to P32IMG.zip but keep getting "main version is older" messages from numerous different versions that I've tried. (So, the unit is reading the SD card correctly)
Can anyone point me to a guide to simply blast a new image onto the phone (preferably via the SD Card, since I'm not able to get onto the phone via a USB cable - even after I've installed HTC Sync). I don't care about rooting or unlocking as a first start... I just want to see if the phone will boot and doesn't have a hardware problem. ...and most of the rooting/unlocking guides on this board assume you can boot to Android as a first step - which i cannot do.
Here are the version numbers from my HBOOT screen:

You're in the wrong device forum. Search up Droid Incredible 2 in the "Try to Find Your Device"

Hoping u do have ADB FASTBOOT installed on your computer if u dont the HTC DEV will provide you with all the files u needed
For start you need to log-in in HTCDEV web and get phone unlocked NOT (s-off) and try flash a recovery of any choice (experiment step checking if u can still boot in HBOOT or not)
Ok can you get into HTC LOGO with an Exclamation mark (!) .If yes u will still be able to Send command via Fastboot .Now that you have HTC SYNC (untill unistall the unless and just keep HTC drivers) .You did tried the RUU but an network locked or an unlocked can be on of the issue why it never worked and hence u never get into HBOOT screen. Download any rom of your choice and a Recovery either CMW or any u want move the rom in SD CARD.. Once u reach the Deleopment LOGO (Exclamation logo) flash the recovery Via CMD " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and try reboot you phone if it still does not boot in the HBOOT(If i worked it step one) all u gotta do now is boot is recovery install any rom u want and flash the boot.img manually (Fastboot flash boot boot.img) . Wipe cache devil cache battery state (aka clean slate)..
Assume it never worked at forst place ..Take the Network specific RUU and boot your phone into DELEOPMENT MODE and run the RUU (if an error pop's up) simple disconnect the phone take the battery out and try the HBoot boot (It has worked a lot when an error message on screen) phone choose to boot into recovery.
And the longest trick is get it unlocked via htc dev (UNLOCKED) and downgrage your Hboot verson to its lowest (S-off) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118187 and redo the earlier steps
