Anyone know if an Otterbox Commuter case can be modified (or fit naturally without modification) with Verizon's 2150 mAh battery and extended door?
If it has to be modded and anyone knows how to do it properly would you be willing to let me pay you to do it for me?
Really? No one knows if this is even possible?

Interested as well..
hmm maybe you can just purchase the case and try your hand at modding it.
I would, I am pretty good with a dremel and a pair of Lexan scissors..
Might work great.
Good luck

I'm using a commuter right now and 2 things are holding me back from an extended battery:
1. cost
2. being able to use my otterbox effectively (deal breaker for me)
I am horrible with a dremel and such so there is no possible way I can modify it.
If I just knew it was possible to do when I got the money i'd buy the battery and perhaps pay you to do it?

This is the only case I've seen that fits the 2150

Well first off I would have to buy the battery and then try my hand at it first..
Then if you can send me the case.. i'll do it for you no charge jst for shipping.
shipping might cost a good amount though.
but I can do it, if I get a battery haha.

Sounds awesome! When/if you get around to doing it let me know please. Also I really don't mind chipping in some cash + shipping for the work.
Does anyone know where I can get a cheap battery door other than Ebay. I don't really trust shippers from China anymore to many times have I needed a refund. I have tried Verizon and they no longer carry battery doors for DInc. Mine has become chipped up along the sides and doesn't quite stay attatched right. Thanks.

I bought Anker 6200mAh Extended Battery after reading the reviews someone made on here. When I got the battery I put the cover on it and one of the pieces snapped off. So It doesn't stay on. I emailed the company, they told me to send it back for a refund. It would have cost me more to send it back than it actually cost. So I said screw it.
I might going to be going on a long trip pretty soon and would like to use the extended battery but need a new back cover. Does anyone know where to buy JUST the cover for cheap? Or does anyone have an extra they'd be willing to sell cheap? Please let me know. Thanks.

supposedly otterbox cases are big enough to use in place of a battery cover for extended batteries.
some people have been using then with zero lemon batteries.
Just to be clear. The Otterbox Defender can be used BUT it needs to be cut to fit any extended batteries.
Do a search for Hyperion Battery Cover on Amazon for the Note 2 if an extended battery cover is all you need.
some people use the seidio active extended case with that anker battery.

Hey, what happened to our plan about dissing Mugen? lol!!!
Here is what I would recommend, for $8+ shipped you get a new battery cover (looks like NFC is in the picture, or you can re-use yours if its not included), and you also get extended battery with it as well - http://www.ebay.com/itm/B171-NEW-65..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item27cbe1492c I can't voucher for ebay batteries, they all crap and this could be only 4500 mAh or maybe 6000 mAh, but either way you get a new battery door replacement and a bonus battery for $8. Then, for $5 get this TPU case with a kickstand for your extended battery/cover: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Black-S...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item416ee5228d - yes, its a copy of Hyperion TPU case but for $5 who cares. So, for under $14 shipped you get a battery cover (with or without NFC, not sure), a battery (although could be questionable capacity), and TPU case with a kickstand (kickstand could be on a flimsy side, but you will get a good tpu grip and some drop protection for your phone).
How about asking Anker to sell you just a battery cover? Usually these companies are good and will most likely ship you one for little to no fee. Try their CS again maybe you just did not get the right person.

I could be wrong, but I was under impression they are discontinuing their 6200 mAh battery. But either way, you got 18-months warranty. Not sure how it works with warranty in this case since you didn't receive it broken and it wasn't a defect covered under warranty, but you can always ask them and even offer to buy it. Even if part is discontinued, under warranty they will keep spare parts for at least a year to cover any claims in that period of time. My experience of dealing with Anker was very positive.
I have an unused anker battery cover since I'm using the defender mod. Not sure how to get it to you though.

See there is a flaw with this especially for Sprint Users. I had also contacted them and I had even shown some pictures to them to prove to the fact that there are flaws with that battery.
One of the latches however does not connect fully. And to be honest the better life wasn't that great which is sad seeing how all my other Anker batteries were much better. The problem with Sprint is that we don't have the sim card so the geometry of the inside or architecture is a little different compared to Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile. If you had noticed the battery doesn't sit flush like it should if you check on Amazon you will have noticed my review that has mentioned that as well as somebody else. But I think it's funny that they told you you have to ship it I bought it off of Amazon and went through the customer service and was able to get it replaced free of charge which basically meant that they sent me another battery and back cover. I had taken pictures of that one as well, simple because I had the same issue and they actually refunded it. And I forgot to mention that I didn't buy the extended battery at first I had bought the original 3100 OEM. I told him I had a battery problem with the 3100 and had asked him to replace it with the 6200 cause it had cost the same at the time.

Part of me emailing them was asking for just the back cover. I even asked to purchase just the cover and the only reply I got back was to mail it back.
Does anyone know if the other companys that make the same size battery, if their back cover might fit? Thanks for all the replies.

Replacement battery back cover for the Droid Turbo... Ordered it from aliexpress for 18$, being really skeptic about its credibility i was scared but impressed with their awesome service... Had ordered two cases off ebay and one month LATER still not here and both were sent using the same free shipping service from China!

I am just waiting for a front glass replacement to pop up so that i can make my Droid Turbo Brand New once again!!!
It was a horror story when it fell from my pocket and i rode over it on my two wheeler(Bike)! As i have imported the phone no replacement!!!

And i had bought it from aliexpress for 18$ i am not sure if it was cuz of a mistake in pricing or what but soon after my purchase the price was 28$! I was just lucky i guess....
Wow. That does look nice. How does it compare to the original ballistic? The exact same feel or any differences? Also, how easy was it to replace?
Now I just need someone to verify that the Metalized Back will fit the 64GB and that there is't some memory module or something that makes it need the nylon back....

Never used the Ballistic Nylon b4 so cant commenr on that... But the back seems of really high quality... And has original Motorola Logo with serial numbers n stuff so i am pretty confident its an OEM product... So guess they should feel the same!
Does anyone know if these backs will work for the Moto Maxx (the non Verizon version)?

Was also curious about this. Just saw this update today: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/red-64-gig-turbo-t2994543
TL;DR, it fits.
I want to try this but I'm concerned that I'll snap the frame.
Installation was painless. Used a guitar pick. No problems with the adhesive. Fits perfect.
i would KILL for a RED nylon one.

From some of the stuff I read is that there are some slight measurement differences between the devices. BN, Maxx, and the 32gb turbo.
So you all think it's worth the $25 to try this out then, right?
Still nervous about popping the back off a perfectly good phone, but man I want the normal black back instead of this nylon one.

This black battery case only $15.9. Really cheap.
There are the nylon ones too. Very beautiful.

I bought one and it'll be here tomorrow. I get about 7 or 8 hours of OST per charge so 4 times capacity should bench me a day of use. I will definitely get back with everyone on this. But I personally have had a zerolemon with every phome possible that has one available. G3, G4, S6, blahdy blah. Always loved them. I don't mind the weight and bigness because my phone lasting for days makes me giggle.

Any update about your upcoming review?
I bought a 20800mAh battery pack for less than half of Zerolemon's from Best Buy. I've always been tempted to get one of these since I own the S6 Edge +, Note 5, and S7 Edge, but I like how slim my Otterbox Commuter case is, but it's still durable, hence why I opted for a 20800mAh battery pack instead haha, more than twice the power Zerolemon's.
Will it still be water proof in this case?

Guess, i'd get this one instead, IMO
https://www.amazon.com/Gatcepot®-30..._SR320,320_&psc=1&refRID=KXXWCK77D83QEW9B99J3
Cheaper and packs a punch. To top it all, sexy and modern look!
Eh, I'm a little sketchy of unknown online retailers, not Amazon I mean Gatcepot. I also hate waiting for shipping which is funny because I had to wait for the Insignia 20800mAh lol. I'm also a Autotech for Geek Squad @ Best Buy so I didn't pay 37.99 lol, I can't tell you guys what I paid but it was cheaper then the Catcepot and Insignia is a Best Buy brand, and I've never had an issue with their products, except I bought a $150 Audioquest HDMI cable from them instead of the Insignia ones because I don't skimp out on certain things, which again I didn't pay $150 lol, but Insignia does have some quality to them considering the price point.
lol it's ok tonys.94 am not hard selling anything here. Besides, have zero connections to these companies and can afford to buy your store brand at its MSRP. Just giving out options here. Move along, nothing to see here. Happy weekend, everyone!
