That is what I was going to install it off until I saw how much space it takes up.
It probably ran out of ram when trying to boot up. I would try and use this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395173

I would recommend a Rom that's finished
And just a bit slimmer TNT for instance the light version or J.Vd.Spanks rom.
But maybe a cleaner Rom with the files already in there should do the trick.
I was getting the white screen of death on linwizard too. Then I followed the boot instructions better. You cant have anyting running in the background and you have to put the phone in flight mode. (linwizard) I haven't tried Android yet.
thanks mr. incredible
i will try this now
Edit: don't work too...
Sorry to raise an old thread, but I am actively trying to get this too boot now. I have a little bit of android experience, so I am gonna see if I can help us out a little bit here!
Well its good to see someone trying it out wishing u the best of luck and as always i offer my services as a guine pig
Well, I feel that I am close....I have extensivly dedited the default.txt file to try and get it to boot....but still no luck. I have found however that you can indeed mix-and-match the various "distrobutions" of Android and make a semi-working version. The closest I have got to booting it is by using the zimage from the working Kaiser release, my modified default.txt, and the regular initrd-android.zip from here....it gets to the red ping pong ball, THEN the screen fades away, THEN a white scream comes up.......and then nothing. SOOOO close to booting it ain't funny! There is a guy on youtube that has done it on the Wizard, but for whatever reason he wont release his files, or tell how he did it! Heres the link to the videos=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS_AmG8fCR4
actually i had seen that video before but since i havent found anyone here ( which i consider the holy grail of win mobile/HTC phones) saying they were able to do it i assumed that it might have been a fake or something
still wishing you luck again
Hey everyone, quick question.
I've had my Nexus One since launch; and I've flashed ungodly numbers of roms on it, and I've had a pretty good time.
That being said; I'm getting tired of the standard Nexus One boot logo (The X, Not the boot animation afterwards.)
This was pretty easy to change back on my G1, and I even did it for the few mytouches that I modded; but I've yet to find a method to do it on my Nexus One, and I know there's also the issue with the 'untouchable' unlock logo file or whatnot, but I'm still curious as to if the X can be changed.
I've tried my best at Googling, and I'm pretty freakin' good at doing so, so I wouldn't be posting here unless I exhausted my efforts, but every time I search to find the right information to doing it it's someone else trying to port the nexus one boot image or boot animation to their phone; not vice-versa.
Please let me know if you have any information or can help me out on this.. I've got a lot of ideas for custom boot animations and they wouldn't make sense unless I had a boot image to go along with it.
Thanks in advance for your time if it's inconvenient.
So a guy I know sold a perfect HD7 on ebay and when the guy got it he said it didnt work and sent it back. When my friend got it back he found that it now starts to boot up and fails and reboots only to just start looping. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how to get it out of the reboot loop. I am android guy so Im not sure how this works or if reboot is the right term or if you can simply flash back to stock or something, but XDA is full of smart people so I figured I would ask.
Thanks!
You are right!
If the phone doesn't boot completely I think the only choice you have is flash the correct stock rom on it.
can you give as a little bit mor information about the phone? (branding, region,...)
can you get into the bootloader menue (hold vol-down when phone powers on)
I had this on my HD7 dont flash the rom before you have tried replacing the battery. I spent days trying this sor t of aproach and nothing worked it just ment i lost my saves on my games once i did get it working.
what would happen in my case was it would show the htc logo then just as it is about to flash the o2 screen it would reboot. I got a test battery for £3 once i found out it was this I replaced it with a nice one.
Can you access the tri-color screen???
Ok so I ordered a new battery and now it boots up and runs great and was about 75% full when I first turned it on so I plugged it into the computer so it could completely charge and I left it for a few hours now I go back and its now at about 25% so basically its not charging for some reason. Also it gets really hot... So from what i can tell the USB port is broken... Also it wont connect to the computer that I can tell. Also yet I can get to the tricolor screen. And now I turned it off and back on and all it does it show the htc screen and then the little black and gray battery icon.

Yep I was able to get that and a stock rom installed and it didnt help.
First of all please excuse the poor grammar.
im not completely a noob at this and from what i can tell is the dell streak 7 i had purchased had cwm recovery. well every time i boot up the device it goes back to the date jan 25, 2012 the device always seems to crash out and i can not access anything on the app store. But on the bright side i am able to get into fastboot, apx and the android force boot screen. I have tried every possible way of whipping the phones physical memory etc and nothing works. After doing a little research i stumbled across using nvflash (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018809). Everything installed properly but im still stuck with the cwm Recovery loop. I also happen to stumble upon this web site http://imransarwar.com/index.php/how-to-unbrick-or-restore-your-dell-streak-7/with directions on how to manual reinstall the images back on the phone but the links do not work. after researching threw xda developers i found a link posted by androidoverall (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252840) that explains how to restore a dell streak 7 wifi only back to its original state from clock work, now would this work for my dell streak t mobile 4 g? i would really just like some imput on what i can do to fix my streak without having to send it back to dell.
see thread "read-only" problem
So hey guys, I just want to start off by saying that I really appreciate your help in this because I really messed up and keep in mind that this is my first Android device and I'm currently a total noob.
So my problem has a back story and here goes. So i decided that i wanted to root my phone and try to put CyanogenMod on it to get a somewhat similar experience to stock Android. So i used a YouTube video and successfully rooted my phone. After i rooted it i found out that CyanogenMod didn't have a stable or RC release for my AT&T HTC One so i decided i should unroot it and so i got the RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_Cingular.exe file from another YouTube video and everything was going fine until the installer said that i have an error and the installer closed down, and now I'm left with a black screen with an HTC logo and four caution indicators in the four corners. I tired to shut down the phone nothing happens, I tired to hard reset it and nothing happened the same screen stayed up. I was hoping that someone on this forum could help me cause you guys are my last resort.
Thanks in advance for any help, it means a lot.
