Hey everyone, quick question.
I've had my Nexus One since launch; and I've flashed ungodly numbers of roms on it, and I've had a pretty good time.
That being said; I'm getting tired of the standard Nexus One boot logo (The X, Not the boot animation afterwards.)
This was pretty easy to change back on my G1, and I even did it for the few mytouches that I modded; but I've yet to find a method to do it on my Nexus One, and I know there's also the issue with the 'untouchable' unlock logo file or whatnot, but I'm still curious as to if the X can be changed.
I've tried my best at Googling, and I'm pretty freakin' good at doing so, so I wouldn't be posting here unless I exhausted my efforts, but every time I search to find the right information to doing it it's someone else trying to port the nexus one boot image or boot animation to their phone; not vice-versa.
Please let me know if you have any information or can help me out on this.. I've got a lot of ideas for custom boot animations and they wouldn't make sense unless I had a boot image to go along with it.
Thanks in advance for your time if it's inconvenient.

Can somebody help me remove the t-mobile boot animation splash screen? I recovered to 2.2.2 after trying Honeycomb on my Dell Streak 7 Wifi only tablet but the only image I could find was a T-mobile one.
I am happy for either the Dell logo to continue to show, or for simply the screen to go black. It just has to be good enough to pass the smell test when I try returning it to the store so it doesn't scream that I borked it.
Any guidance to a noob on how to accomplish this would be most appreciated.
Figured it out. Found the bootanimation.zip file and simply deleted it. Shows "Android" but I can't imagine that will be a show stopper. Thread can be closed.
Wifi version of files

So hey guys, I just want to start off by saying that I really appreciate your help in this because I really messed up and keep in mind that this is my first Android device and I'm currently a total noob.
So my problem has a back story and here goes. So i decided that i wanted to root my phone and try to put CyanogenMod on it to get a somewhat similar experience to stock Android. So i used a YouTube video and successfully rooted my phone. After i rooted it i found out that CyanogenMod didn't have a stable or RC release for my AT&T HTC One so i decided i should unroot it and so i got the RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_Cingular.exe file from another YouTube video and everything was going fine until the installer said that i have an error and the installer closed down, and now I'm left with a black screen with an HTC logo and four caution indicators in the four corners. I tired to shut down the phone nothing happens, I tired to hard reset it and nothing happened the same screen stayed up. I was hoping that someone on this forum could help me cause you guys are my last resort.
Thanks in advance for any help, it means a lot.
Found a solution please close the post.
Hello all. First, I want to say that I have no knowledge or experience that could help me with my problem, just a fan of tech. So, about a year ago, I came across someone selling an HP Touchpad for $20. It was in good condition, so even though I remembered that it's possible to dual boot Android alongside webOS, I would have bought it anyway. So with your help, I was able to get CM 11 running, using Sullins TP toolbox. Every thing was great, until I decided to do a reset of the device from within CM 11's settings menu (not the boot menu) which I was pretty sure I had done before with no problems, but now when I try to boot Android, CM's splash screen (the arrow going in circles around CM'S logo) just stays on the screen, never booting Android. WebOS still boots fine. Could someone point me in the right direction towards solving the problem? Again, I apologize for my ignorance, and you guys were such a big help when I installed CM, that I'm hoping you can help me resolve this issue. Thank you, and let me know if you need any additional information.

Reinstalling using the TP Toolbox should fix everything.
Hello guys,
I've been messing around with my Motorola Razr i XT890 the last couple of days, trying to get it "back to life".
It suddenly shut down and would get stuck on the red "M" logo, right when the animation would start (the white wavey-type of lines freeze and that is all it would do. I, myself, am not really much up to date on rooting, installing custom roms, you know; the whole developing thing (I find it interesting, it is just that I lack time to be able to learn more). Anyway, the phone got stuck and I've managed to factory reset it, after a while the phone would freeze and again get stuck on the red logo, this went on until it would not boot at all. All I got was a short vibration and the green led would light up for like one second. Using this forum I've found a solution to bring it back to the point it would get back into fastboot (Actually holding the camera button down with usb attached, install some specific drivers and then run a batch file).
At this point this is my situation:
I'm stuck on fastboot, however I turn on the phone it will get into fastboot (see attached image to see what it says)

I, for some reason, have Philz Recovery installed and tried to use adb sideload to install a few files but my biggest problem is that I'm not sure which firmware I need, I'm really confused about all the terms and what not. I'm not the type of person that pays much attention and like knows the difference between JB or KitKat or whatever. All I know is that the phone was purchased in Germany along with a contract with either Vodafone or O2 (really not sure). I have so many files and tools installed on my PC and I would like to delete everything and start from scratch. I have fastboot and adb working (except for RSDLite, for some reason it just won't recognize the device, while adb sideload did work....haven't figured that one out yet.
If any one happens to know. or can post a link for 1 or 2 versions of the firmware and help me out. Just point me in the right direction, I know my way around a computer but like I said, I've never really done much in this area
I bought a new model Motorola soon after this one crashed the second time, so it's not even about the phone itself. I kind of challenged myself to get it working again, on top of that, it was a very good phone and I got really used to it. These new big screens are too much for me so if I get it working I might actually start using it again lol.
Also thanks to all of you who put time and effort in helping people who have these kind of problems, it's a really nice community overall and I've gotten to like it and will try to spend more time learning about this. I might just help out some lost soul myself some day
PS; sry about the green lol, I actually just realized it...I just can't be bothered cropping it out
Does anyone watch this thread anymore? I have a question: I replaced the battery in my LG R watch (which I have not used in several years), and charged it up. It boosts to the LG logo screen and hangs there forever. I restarted it and did the 11 to 5 swipe to see the fast boot screen, and select Recover Mode. Same results, it just shows the LG Logo and never gets any further along. Seems, perhaps, that the boot code is bad? If I cannot get into the Android screen, is there a way I can refresh the basic software on this device? Or is this thing dead? FYI: I have not done any hacking on this, it is just stock. But it seems I might have to to get this running again. Suggestions and pointers would be welcomed. Thanks.
Hi watchers. I see no replies, but maybe someone here ha a USB driver that will work on Windows 11?
Ok, I got this to work but had to go back to a Windows 7 machine. Sad that these threads are dead now.
Hello, I have exactly the same problem !
Could you tell me how you did it?
I think I have to flash the firmware, but I have no clue.

I didnt had this issue so i am sorry that i cant help you there.
