Prob not.
Remember they have released loads of updates in different countries already and that's what it means I think.
If it was GB they would have updated the spec and there would be much more press coverage via tech sites / their own twitter feeds etc
A V10E has been released in Hong Kong so it's still Froyo.
Ok... I am back to waiting position
very funny
I received the picture below .... 2 minutes ago ...
The problem is not that the servers... not working right now for some reason... but people at LG believe that today we are in July ...

True.
Can't wait to for his reply!
in the UK.
You know, UK is not World center, and there was vodafone update even sooner then CPW...
Easy, fellah - all the OP was saying was that the official release was (finally!) available in the UK... nothing about the UK being the centre of the world
Well it felt like that

Are there some news about OfficialFroyo4Milestone in Europe and specifically in Italy?
They delayed it again.
The info they gave in motorola europe page in facebook said that they will put -yet again- screenshots of new features or something this week.
Also the early Q1 has been deleted from the support page and it now reads Q1 2011.
Latest news from Motorola Europe on facebook today:
Hi guys, we haven't stopped responding (...) I can confirm that we are still on track to deliver FroYo this quarter.

Even though this still doesn't say much. They could easily change their deadline again.
i'm happy that motorola is working on it AT ALL, e. g. there is no android update for the motorola flipout and other phones. they yust stay at version 2.0 or 2.1

Any body know when oficial gingerbread relase ?
today is april7
I heard that a quasi-official representative for a PR company that works with Samsung posted a leaked email on their Facebook page last month, which had been translated from Finnish by a Croatian living in Tripoli.
This clearly suggested that Gingerbread would probably be "officially, more or less" released for some Galaxy S i9000 models (the T and the W, but not the B or M or the ultra rare C~ variant, as well as for International models released in landlocked countries) on "around about the twelfth of Neverwas, or 5 days before the fifth full moon in August...give or take a few equinoxes either way".
...IN short, no one knows anything for sure. Just lots of hearsay.
I have the twelfth of never from a reliable sauce .

Coming damn soon to unlocked i9000's... dunno about i9003 which I own, asked sammy india tweeter a/c, didnt reply yet...

Samsung tests in advance of the upgrade is now completely in the final stages, and in the middle of April rolled out the upgrade for mobile that is not linked to specific operators. In mid-May is also the Android 2.3 made available for operator-specific phones.
The upgrade will be available through Samsung's software Samsung Kies.

About the same text on Samsung's norwegian, finnish and swedish sites..
^^ So that means a week to go till mid April for us, unlocked folks!
BTW, an Opera fan too...
According to a newspage in Germany an update is only a few days away. They don‘t know if it is the GB update or just another Froyo update but it should be the GB update because of current update of G2X.

Was hoping for updated tegra drivers or something
Yeah, T-mo G2x and Moto Atrix already got GB, so ours shouldn't be far away
According to this its not going to arrive in the UK until August / september.

I wouldnt hold out much hope, stick with Cyangenmod, those guys should be paid by LG to sort out the sh#'t software they are putting on the x2.
Useless unless drivers updated too

totally agree
I loved one of todays comments at the end of that article
They stated they had contacted LG about the Update mentioned and were told there is no exact date but it should be out within 2 weeks
There is that magic timeframe of 2 weeks again. Are they living in the world of 24 and Jack Bauer?, their weeks seem to drag on for months
I Especially loved the statement made by them on the Reghardware article
'The reason for the long roll out? It's so that "Optimus customers will not experience the types of bugs found in smartphones recently upgraded to Android 2.3", apparently'
Why would we be worried about that? we've put up with enough bugs with the Optimus and Android 2.2
Well atleast they have a timeframe cause up here the wind mobile rep told me august and the lg canada rep said no you don't need an update its a new phone and the american lg rep told me it should be soon since they got their update for tmobile talk about bloody confusing

I agree with you
I know that the 7310 has the official Samsung ICS ROM, but what about the 7300? Any word? Or guesses?
Also, now that the official ROM is out, are we able to extract the kernel drivers for the camera that were unavailable up to now and preventing us from having our cameras working on third party ROMS?

The first part is guesswork. Nobody but samsung knows when its coming. I would guess soon though.
Second part.yes its possible however there is basically just one real dev left for our tab. And he has loads of other stuff to do, so i wouldnt hold my breath
Perhaps
The P7300 is probably taking longer because more code work is required to keep the GSM voice calling functionality suppressed.
Or maybe they will add it back in as it was there in pre-release demo units?....
Hoping for too much? Myah.
shall we use P7310 ROM in P7300 if we only use WIFI?
Yes.
Also eagerly waiting for the P7300 ICS Update. New thread. Same waiting...
To think it's already September tomorrow. Hoping it arrives soon! I'm not giving up on my SGT 8.9 3G just yet.
samsung is sucking with the delay of the updates...

I agree, give me the update!! I assume I will have to wait for Rogers to put out the OTA since I can't for the life of me get Kies to work properly. It says that my device can not be updated through it.
This is pretty much your explanation right here

The first 3 lines of text say it all.
Specifically this part:
but, as always, carrier connected versions of the devices are left out in the cold.

Come on Samsung. After everybody with a P7310 tells how long the battery hold I can't wait to install the official update!

It is not a simple matter of releasing it. The P7300 is a 3G tablet and as such is carrier-connected. These firmwares must be coordinated with carriers by region. This takes as much time as a smartphone firmware release.
you are absolutely right. we are going to wait a long time to see an update to 7300... carriers sucks!

Not all countries have this tight link devices-carrier... That's why there are standards, like gsm, gprs, 3g,... in the first place.
BTW, on the 10.1 tab, the release of 7500 (3g) / 7510 (wifi) happened in the same week.
So I don't buy this argument...
in that case... sammy sucks!
Two new 7300 OTA from China at sammobile posted September 3. Link: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P7300&pcode=0&os=1&type=3#firmware
Can anyone confirm if they are for ICS?

i highly doubt it! september 3rd we didn't even have ice for the 7310 so this is probably not an ics update. also the size is probably too small for an ics update.
just guessing though. didn't test it.
