So is the N1 going to get an offical CM9 port or is going to just be an unofficial one?
I've heard rumors saying it will eventually get official CM9. For now, though, use samuaz's CM9 build.
In high hopes that cm9 might be arriving anytime soon for our n1.
Fingers crossed

Well, there's a big difference in texasice ICS build and samuaz's CM9 build.

In the last "CM9 Progress Update" on the cyanogenmod website :
Our goal is to provide continued support to all CM7 devices back to the QSD8250 series of devices such as the Nexus One. I don’t want to make any promises at this time, but that is the plan.

So Nexus One should get an official release... but no ETA
Has there been any new updates for gapps? the last zip that is in the cm9 thread is from 4/29. I'm just wondering, cause I've searched the forum, and even googled, so not sure

Usually whatever update comes regarding GApps is a small one and usually CM team keeps them up to date. If there ever is any delay, don't worry about it, because you're not missing out on much
Just flash the latest once every...while ( I do it at about 1 month, 3 weeks, I guess) and that should be ok.

well that's what i'm asking, what the latest one? cm team hasn't updated the market into the rom, its still at 3.5.15, and there def is an update. and I think there's a gmail update cm team hasn't incorporated into the nightlies either
Hey does anyone remember how we got added to the cm builds last year? Sort of feeling like were out of the loop cm wise as we used to have our own stables and nightlies.

Say what?
They went down due to server relocation and now 7.2-RC3 is the latest. http://get.cm/?device=vivo
There isn't much point to have nightlies to release nowadays for CM7 as there isn't much to update. You can see gingerbread updates here:

In CM9's case we likely aren't going to get any updates until the official 3.0 kernel sources are out for one of the msm7x30's. HTC has 90 days to release it after they provide official OTA update. I believe the teams will prefer's USA/WWE RUU's, not the China stuff we have right now.
Desire S and Desire HD are closest cousins to us. When the kernel sources are out, they will likely work on coding with the proprietary camera files that comes with official sense 3.6 to make it compatible with CM9 / AOSP.
Most of the CM9 devices on there right now already have their official ICS kernel source available and stuff's already worked on/being touched up on. Samsung's ahead of the game at this point.
That is why there are Playground and IceCold for now, you can picture them as 'hacked' roms to use GB files/code to make it work with ICS.
Is there any Android 4.0 (Or higher) roms for Nexus One that's any good? I've heard that there maybe would be a new Cyanogenmod sometime soon, but I couldn't find anyone confirming this. So I was wondering if there was any of you guys on XDA that had made such rom? Sorry for being a n00b. Rooted my first phone a couple of days ago. It was the HTC Tattoo. Now I use the Nexus One with the newest Cyanogenmod...

I have been using AOKP ICS version 4.0.4 build #37 as my daily.
I saw this on DroidLife and figured y'all might benefit from this (I hadn't seen any post's about it) so here you go
Update to Build 4.08.605.19 Published on February 1st, 2013 Written by: Kellex DroidLife.com
The original DROID Incredible by HTC, a device released almost three years ago, is set to receive its next OTA update. The update is minor to build 4.08.605.19, and simply includes a fix to reduce reboots, but man, how random is that?
We didn’t think anything could top the randomness of the Thunderbolt Ice Cream Sandwich update that popped up yesterday through Big Red’s support site, however, it’s safe to say that this just topped it.
The update is 4.2MB in size.

Love it. Seriously though if we are still seeing minor ota's for GB we should have ATLEAST got ICS 4.0.something. I wonder how many Inc's are still activated on Verizons network.

Well considering the extreme annoyance caused by the 2am reboot thing that was introduced with the last OTA, this update was long overdue. Hey, an update to ICS would be truly awesome but it would be a bit bigger than 4.2Mb I dare say (and would involve a whole lot more time and money to develop, something that would be very majorly hugely unlikely for a three year old device like this).

Verizons excuse is they didn't want to have to repartition the internal storage which would be required to fit ICS and all their bloat.

Oh ya. I kinda figured it would be some stupid HW limitation preventing us from seeing official ICS but bloatware is the worst excuse ever.

Cm 10.1 doesn't even fit well on the inc without some tweaking. There's no way a sense ICS will fit on 250mb when AOSP is smaller than sense. Do you remember how the sense build that I worked on with puremotive needed symlinks to fit and that's the lighter version of sense?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Coincidentally, I was thinking of sending my old Incredible back to stock in order to attempt maximizing its stability, because I'm giving it to my kid as a games platform for travel, etc.
The phone is no longer registered on Verizon's network, so I'm guessing that means I would not get access to an OTA update if I placed the 4.08.605.15 RUU on this phone - correct?

Yeah i personally just want ICS kernel drivers so we could build a 3.1 kernel ....... stock ota sense only keeps like 20 some mb free on the system

Any idea how to stop the nagging about this update? Running wildstangs 4.08.605.2 stock ota. I stopped the last nag with a simple edit, but can't remember what it was.
Try flashing this through CWM. Worked the last time on the OTA, should still do the trick.

Thanks omniatic. What is that apk? I was just coming back to edit my post above. I was referring to editing the build.prop to stop the OTA - not that I'm against using your attachment.
FOTAKill.apk. Not sure how it stops the nag, but it does.

Guess I'm just more comfortable editing the one line in build.prop. Just need to find out what to change it to. I posted on an old thread about disabling the Verizon OTA update to see if anyone can help me out.

Yes the update is now active. I saved it if anyone wants to root it and or check it out. I have not installed it.
I have the stock ROM.. I got prompted to update an hour ago.. it went through fine. I was hoping it would fix the proximity sensor bug which drains the battery (dialer process in battery view). Haven't checked whether it was fixed yet, but I doubt it.
FYI, I'm using the phone through Page Plus.. which relies on Verizon's network. I never expected to see an update for this phone..

Was your phone rooted and s-off prior to the OTA and if so, did you lose root? Have you tried to root again?

The OTA was pushed to my phone while using the Sparkplug rom. I saved it but I have not installed it yet in fear of losing root. I have 3 Incredibles and they all belong to my kids. I'm going to attempt to root it and install it to see how it runs.
