I have a rooted LG Revolution with stock Android 2.2.2. Long story short, I uninstalled the calendar.apk using Titanium Backup. I cannot locate the apk to try to push it and reinstall as system app. Where can I find the apk? If I get it and move it to the /system/app will that restore the app?

Eail Lags in JPH, also exchange cannot reply too...well you can but you know what i mean...
is it possible to remove email and install another working version?
i have root manager and can uninstall stock apps (including email) so thought i could install a working APK if there is one.
my JPh is "okay"..JM8 was faster, but most of my lag is in email app.
my only prob with this version.
hope its faster in final.
cheers.
I removed the odex and apk files of email (exchange) from system/apps folder using Root Explorer. Then I copied the email.apk downloaded from here:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729753
But I am getting a force close / freeze everytime I try to run this new replacement.
Any clues?
Hi Everyone,
Looking for help for an issue, I installed the new android market and was messing around with Titanium Backup (forgot to backup the app, dumb me!) anyway I tried to uninstall the new market to go back to the old one but when I did this the market app is gone from the manage apps area. My phone is a N1, running 2.3.4 and rooted, this what I have tried:
- Install the old market manually from a downloaded vending.apk, not working crashes to .com.android.vending every time
- After this I went to look in the /system/app folder for vending.apk and the app is not there, neither I am unable to copy the app using Droid Explorer or Root explorer, it says it is coping the app but is not there
- Re-install gingerbread update again to see if it gets the app back, did not work, still not in system/app folder
Does anyone know why I am unable to copy the vending.apk to the system/app folder? the phone is rooted but still can-t
Thanks!
If you're having problems with root permissions, try using ROM Manager to fix permissions. Another possibility could be busybox, so I recommend installing the version with Titanium backup (under the Problems? section of the menu).
Updating the market can be tricky, but I always find wiping data from Google Services Framework and (use app manager) Market (easier to use Titanium), and rebooting helps. Make sure you reboot before trying to use the Market...
I didn-t know about the Fix Permissions feature of ROM manager, I tried it and it work, I can now place the file on the system/app folder.
Thanks a lot!
Hi, I backed up E-mail 1.0 and Email 2.0 (the default email client and the lg Widget) with Titanium backup, then uninstalled them, because I was trying to find the cause of some battery loss problem...
The problem is that Titanium Backup doesn't restore the E-mail Client or the LG widget once deleted... it just stays on restoring screen...
Could someone provide the files to copy to /system/app to restore those two services? Or maybe there is another way?
As a last resort I could restore to factory settings but that means a full system reinstall and I wouldn't go that far!

Thank you for the package, I tried to copy the .apk and .obex files to system/data/ set full permissions, but still no go... I use v10E???!?!
I reinstalled the whole phone... Thank you nonetheless!
Hi guys! I'm trying to remove/uninstall facebook from a stock rooted rom but it doesn't work. I've already tried to delete the apk files from /system/app but nothing. Any idea?
Thanks!
i believe titanium backup will work. otherwise, you can freeze the app so it won't launch or be seen in your launcher.

this is odd, I uninstalled facebook using titanium backup but the APK files are still in the system/app folder.
I guess I'm missing something..
Hi!
Would like to ask how to get the Google Calendar Widget. Which apk should I take? I'm using the Galactus ROM and would like to back up the widget which when you open/tap the Google Calendar Widget it opens the SPlanner. I like the SPlanner than the Google Calender. Anyone knows which file is it?
Many Thanks!
You can check out the pertaining file in the option of backup system apps+data in titanium backup. You can install the rom which has that widget and back it up and then flash the new rom and restore
