Is there way to fix dead pixels, they look like lines not vissible on black.
Sent from X8 using XDA Premium app and running GingerDX
Perhaps the usual TFT screen methods might work... java applets with alternating color patterns and massaging the screen with dump tips(carefully). Lines doesnt sound like dead pixels... rather like a dropped on the floor device...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_pixel

To start off i have looked up and searched but can't find an answer. I have images that seemed almost burned in like with old plasma TV. I've tried to stock, multi roms, kernels, and even TV out, but i keep getting phantom images. Mainly status bar and seems up to date times. I think it could be gpu but not shore. I've also tried under/over clock, live oc, and voltages. It also might help that screen shots don't show it but usually happens between app traditions and large color changes. Not to rant but if screen why carry over through tv out?

that is what i thought, but why be same through tv out and not screen shots?
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
I think screen shots take a picture of what is supposed to be there, while tv out mirrors the actual screen...
carrying out through tv out is odd.
burn in is physical damage to the actual screen, and burn-in can happen on these screens, as colours die.

i also have some yellow spots sometimes on screen ... the wierd thing is that if I make a screen shoot I can see them @-) LMAO (on PC ALSO)
Yeah mine too.
It seems the V screen a little yellowish. It look like the S if I set the brightness low. Even at full brightness on V still look like 50% on S.

got this weird thing with the Xperia T, at first I thought it was deliberate effect but now not so sure. Basically when going from a dark screen to a white screen, say the messaging app or facebook the screen is really white like there's a semi transparent sheet on top, (similar to the high contrast you get when you look at the phone off angle) it then blends away to the normal screen.
I don't really get this, does it happen to anyone else?
cheers
Yes, it's a feature. You can turn it off by modifying build.prop, but I'm not sure anymore which variable you need to change.

Are you sure? what a strange feature haha
Disable Dynamic Luminance Scaling, as @peetr_ sugested here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34874453&postcount=151
That annoying contrast effect will dissapear/be significantly reduced.
Note: there's no risk what so ever, those values seem to cause no damage or malfunction of the phone/screen :cyclops:
Cheers!
My phone's diaplay has turned pink. But when I press the home button to open task manager then the area behind recent apps dialog box becomes as it should be.
So please anyone could tell me if it could be repaired or the screen is to be changed!
Thanks in advance
Hmmm. This is interesting.
Did this just suddenly happen or did something happen to it, eg. Did you flash a rom/kernel or did to get submerged in water etc
If it did get submerged in water, its likely a hardware fault
Try flash in Sempahore GB, that has Voodoo colour, and see if that changes anything - if not, its likely a hardware fault

Follow what @Soryuu said to do. In my opinion, if this is a hardware issue (display to be changed), then you better buy a used phone as it costs equal to the display. Or you may use it as your secondary phone and buy a new quad core phone

Maybe a hardware issue like that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529205
but if there's something wrong with the display then why the area behind the recent dialog box ok

That's probably why - when you reassembled the phone you must have also done something to the screen digitiser without realising.

Check that the display flex cable is properly seated. Or see if you can tune it out with colour calibration.

yeah the display cable is properly seated but then also the display is as it is
What about using colour calibration? Have you tried that?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Try to clean the screen connectors or try with another display.
Good luck
Any news about the problem with the display???

Did you first try colour calibrating the screen before you installed the screen adjuster app??

sorry, but how to do that?
i just installed the app and then just adjusted the brightness accordingly
What ROM are you using? Most ROMs for i9000 have colour adjustment built into settings.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Same setting point in CM 10.x
In CM 11 it is called "color calibration" under "Other device options"
thanks
Thanks for the help but i have tried this several times.
but it is same. !!!
Not really satisfying but the main thing is your display works ... :good:

I flashed fxp250 and have experienced blue screen. I found that it happened randomly. No special apps trigger blue screen, nor high cpu load. I hv just experienced 2 blue screens...
How many times do you experience blue screen per day?
And what triggered it?

Many time per day isn't true for me. But maybe 3 times per month and I have CM 11 Android 4.4 every build. Blue screen I had only in big strain.
