Hello everyone,
The only thing I miss from sense is that lovely proprietary T9 dialer, I've tried using 3rd party apps like rocket dial but I always like having core apps like the dialer cooked into the rom, it just works better as such. If anyone could point me in the direction of such an app it would be appreciated, if it had the stock 2.3 dialer icon that would be great also thanks in advance, cheers!

I used to use either of this two in my G1 days.
NubDial by Wysie
Or Dialer One.
Now I just use the search button!

+1 for Dialer one
Try rocketdial (free trial) or, Go Contacts (free). Nice interface, very polished.
. . NS4G . . CM7 . .
TouchPal is also a nice dialler

Hey guys, I have the cm7 rc2 rom running on my wifes droid and its great little to no bugs great stuff.
Question... While I like the gingerbread keyboard she does not. Any way I could get a t9 type or phone pad kind of keyboard on it? I've searched the market for one but with no success. I'd Luke to have a stock one of some sort.
Any help is very appreciated.

You need to install a Android keyboard replacement app, just like:
- Smart Keyboard PRO https://market.android.com/details?id=net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro&feature=search_result
- Better Keyboard https://market.android.com/details?id=com.betterandroid.betterkeyboard&feature=search_result
Both have an option to change the keyboard layout to T9. Sadly both apps are paid apps. SmartKeyboard has a free trial, but you get time to time a popup.
For those like me that cant live without the practicality of the predictive text and contact of Sense but still like to experiment with every new gingerbread that comes out, this is what I found. GoDialer and HintKeys. They are free on the market and work pretty well for me, much like sense predictive text. If somebody find a better alternative than those apps, please let me know. Thnx and enjoy.

Hello all, not sure if this was posted here previously as I could not find it but the soon to come Mytouch 4g slide comes with HTC's new Swipe(ish) IME which was pulled from the leaked Rom.
I downloaded and installed it just fine and it's pretty sweet, hopefully the theme makers can take it and theme it to match the available themes.
Enjoy
**Edit Voice input seems to be a bit buggy but everything else works great
nice!
any chance of getting german language to work on this?

Go into settings/language & keyboard. You have to check the keyboard as an option, then in a text field long press until you get the input option. Then you can select it

better than the Gingerbread Keyboard app posted here as well?
in terms of auto correct recognition?
Nice find. Seems smooth and efficient and works nicely with HyperDroid 2.1.
Thanks!

Hello there, I've flashed a few ROMS and decided that I love leedroid, but it's got the boring HTC messaging looking message app. I love the look of the cyanogenmod app, so is there anyway to get that on leedroid or if not, a way to skin the app?
Thanks in advance guys!

The problem with theming the stock htc sms app is that it uses the sense framework. any change you make to the sense framework will affect other apps because they all draw their resources from the same set. This is my understanding anyways.
My advice to you is to grab Gosms pro from the market. I prefer it over any other sms app
Thanks for the reply, if that's so, I shall have to download it, but really, I don't mind changing it all, I use launcherpro anyway so it won't me noticeable on the homescreen

Hi all,
I've come from a SGS2 that was running an AOKP ROM which allowed you to enable the emoji keyboard in the messaging app settings. This is my first experience with sense and wanted to know if there were any sense based ROMs or even a mod that anyone was aware of for stock sense that would allow me to do the same?
My One is rooted and ideally I'd like to stick with the standard messaging app as I actually quite like it so I'm not looking to install a 3rd party app like GO SMS to get the emoji. I'm also really enjoying the experience by staying stock, everything just works and the battery life is ridiculously good! That being said, I'd be willing to make a backup and try a custom ROM.
My girlfriend likes to tell stories with emoji, I feel like I'm missing out without this!
Your comments are appreciated!
Cheers!

Thanks but as per the OP this is not the solution I'm looking for.
