Don't know if it's the same for your hd7 but my tmous hd7 would restart at 11%(that's when the radio portion of the rom finishes). Go back into bootloader and continue the upgrade. It did this automatically. Is that what you are seeing? Just leave the phone plugged in and don't stop the RUU.
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
If in the flash mode the top line of your device reads "security unlocked", then all of those should be flashable (like mine)
If not, the 1st, 2nd and 4th should apply. Just be patient, it DOES reboot in the middle and just sit tight and wait. (I reflashed mine a couple of times due to failed jailbreaking attempts however it is running a jailbroken Mango Beta 2 now.)
I have tried the ROM. Up to 11% off you go then. I'm stuck on 11% of Mobile. The program also does error 226.. I got 10 ROM test. All the vans came.

hi ..my friend
I have deleted this file SPL_signed.nbh. Rom then poured on the phone. But it was stuck on 11%. Please help me
Ok it sounds to me you might not have DFT HSPL / RSPL installed which mean you can flash ROMS without using the goldcard method, ok try this.
1. Download the "DFT_XSPL_WP7FG1.rar" from here at the bottom of the first post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
2. Extract DFT_XSPL_WP7FG1 to a folder.
3. Run the "DFT_RSPL_WP7FG1_LAUNCH.exe" and follow the on screen instructions
4. Then run the "DFT_HSPL_WP7FG1_INSTALL.exe" and follow the on screen instructions.
5. Now try flashing the ROM you want but remember to be sure you have deleted the "SPL_signed.nbh" otherwise it will wipe out the HSPL you have just installed onto your phone.
Hope this helps.

I have a T-Mobile Wing for about 1,5 years now and up until the other week it worked great. For some reason it only show the T-Mobile flash screen and does not boot anymore.
I tried to flash it with the latest RUU rom but every single rom i try to flash keeps saying that its not the correct model ID.
Since it hardly ever boots WM6 anymore i try to flash it from the bootloader. (turn on and hold cam key)
I booted good once and i managed to get the following info,
Device Name: HTC_p4350
Rom version: 4.12.405.1 WWE
Rom date: 04/09/07
Radio version: 02.83.90
Protocol: 4.1.13.37
ExtRom version: 4.12.405.101
Model No: HERA120
Platform: PocketPC
IPL: 4.10.0002
SPL: 4.10.0000
Can anybody tell me which rom i should try to use??
So far i have had no luck at all.
I tried the following ones without success,
TMo_Wing_RUU_Update_4.26.531.4
RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_5.4.405.1_4.1.13.34_02.79.90_Ship
RUU_Atlas_TMO_US_4[1].10.531.3_4.1.13.37_02.83.90_Ship
I messed up my phone yesterday and was able to recover it using the TMoblie update ROM.
Did you try it more than once? Mine worked the third try. Make sure you are in bootloader. It is weird, but once in a while flashing takes acouple times.
So before you try other things, try the TMoblie ROM again from here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Herald_Upgrades
use 4.26.531.4

Thanks, I tried to do that all night but still the same old thing.
I don't understand. It is a T-Mobile Wing so why would the rom file keep saying its not the correct hardware??
Another weird thing now is starting to occur.
Now most time even the bootloader crashes or the splash screen freezes.
I am not sure but can it be that the bootloader itself somehow is gone bad?

Thanks,
1: The bootloader screen comes up and then the screen goes slowly white
This takes anywere from 3 to 10 second for it to happen. Other times the T-Mobile flash screen comes up and then it crashes or just stays in the flash screen until the bat dies.
2: plugged or unplugged to the computer for the crashing doesn't matter.
3: Thanks i'll look for that thread and use that
4: I'm gonna use flashcenter tonight.
Please not that this is my first guide on here and I'll make it as easy to understand as much as possible.
This has been tested on a Vodaphone branded HD Mini. Please reply to this post if this has worked on a different branded phone.
This is to help people to Unbrand their HD Mini's.
Have you managed to flash it to the latest ROM? If not you need to do the following:
•Download the SSPL_RUU.exe and put it into an empty folder (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=694409)
•Add the RUU_signed.nbh that you want to flash to your device into the same folder (http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Pho...adio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe) Assuming you want Western Europe ROM. You can use a different ROM if you want
•Connect your HD Mini to your PC. Making sure you use ActiveSync
•Run SSPL_RUU.exe and following the onscreen propmts.
Once done your phone will reboot. Next is to flash a Radio ROM.
•Move your ROM from the folder which contains the SSPL_RUU.exe
•Using the ROM that you just used Extract it to a location of your choice by using winRAR. Look for
Radio_32.2806.05.06_0.63.05.40 and rename it to PHOTIMG.nbh
•Place PHOTIMG.nbh into the same folder as SSPL_RUU.exe and flash once again
•Once done you will have a unbranded HD Mini as if you bought it like that. This worked on my Vodaphone
branded HD Mini and worked a charm.
I'd like to thank DarkForcesTeam for the SSPL_RUU.exe and the rest of the developers that have made
this possible. Without them we would be stuck with these branded phones.
Could the Admins place this as a sticky please. Many Thanks
The phone hard-resets after radio flash ? I want to flash only the radio.
Thanks for your guide, wardy. Great explanation.
But it doesn't work with my HD mini.
It stays at 0% for quite a long time. Afterwards, there's an error saying something about a wrong ID.
I'm afraid I'll have to wait for a HD mini hardspl

As long as you are using the SSPL_RUU.exe to flash only the radio & renaming then you can flash it. Yes after the flash the phone does hard-reset.
Which part does it stay on? Please list the error exactly as it appears so that I can help you further.
If its ''Error 294, Invalid Vendor ID'' then download PHO03693.exe over to your device and install it then try to flash the radio again.

Thanks, I installed PHO03693.exe now. What happened afterwards:
-The error I get when I try to install any ROM via “DFT_SSPL_MINI” is “[202] Connection error”.
-If I enter boot mode via my endkey app and install via “DFT_SSPL_MINI” after that, it ends with “Error [262]: Update error”. When I click “view document”, it says: “dummy file”.
-If I try to install official HTC ROM “RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.36.401.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship”, I get “Error [294] invalid vender ID”
Not sure about that error code. Have you tried doing a hard-reset first then trying to flash the ROM. If your using Windows Vista or Windows 7 then try running SSPL_RUU.exe as Administrator. Hope this helps

Can anyone confirm if flashing the Radio rom is safe? - the DarkForcesTeam original link warns against it! > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=694409
Im using an O2 UK HD MINI but have upgraded the ROM to the latest just the radio has remained at 0.63.05.18
I flashed with east europen ROM and now (and before flashing) I don't have GSM signal on phone, strange is that signal show up sometimes 1/5 and disapear again after few seconds but nothing else.
I have one phone with original Spanish language and have same problem with signal. dunno why that happen.
can anyone send me the steps in german? i dont really understand it xD
sorry but my english ist not perfect
Managed to carry out the Radio ROM update with an O2 branded phone.
However the Radio rom listed is still the old one (0.63.05.18)
The update process appeared to take but the radio ROM has remained the same. So take from that what you will?!

Radio software: 5.65.09.25a_22.45.50.21U
Bootloader: 3.1.2250.0

but what about my OS? can I leave the OS as it is and install one of these custom roms:
DFT's Freedom.
dotcompt's DeepShining.
itje's Touch-It.
Or do I need to update to Stock mango first?
Finally, what are radios for and should I flash a new one? if so what should I flash.
sorry about all these questions but its my first time having a WP and I dont want it to break from day one

yep, with Bootloader version 3.1 start with RSPL.
when you flash a Custom ROM, it will be replace your current OS and Radio, if included with Custom ROM.
Radios give you your signal... so, a different Radio could help give you a strong signal in places.

RSPL is a temporary SPL, which allows the install of an Unsigned.nbh, then returns to OSPL afterwards. aka after a reset.
HSPL is a permanent SPL, which allows the install of an Unsigned.nbh, but doesn't change to OSPL until you flash it back.

Hi, i am quite new and i dont know how to flash custom roms. i also have some questions:
1) Do i loose all data and apps when i flash a custom rom?
2) I read, that i need to install "DFT HSPL RSPL WP7F3" first, but i also read on this page ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647 ) that i shoud not install it:
"WARNING TO ALL:
Do NOT use RSPL / HSPL with Mozart 4.XX and other RUU ROMS with MANGO.
All WP7F devices affected: MOZART, GOLD, SCHUBERT, MONDRIAN, SPARK!
It will damage your device. Not a joke."
So what to do now?
3) The custom rom of my choise would be "Nextgen+ ROM 3.1". After installing it, will i be able to receive the latest MS WP7 updates the normal way?
4) is there a not "enhanced" version of the latest Tango update? I would prefer that kind of version more then a custom one with functions/changes/bugs i do not like! If yes, where to find?
5) Is there any good how-to-do page to explain the flashing of custom roms?
THANKS

2) I read, that i need to install "DFT HSPL RSPL WP7F3" first, but i also read on this page ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647 ) that i shoud not install it:
"WARNING TO ALL:
Do NOT use RSPL / HSPL with Mozart 4.XX and other RUU ROMS with MANGO.
All WP7F devices affected: MOZART, GOLD, SCHUBERT, MONDRIAN, SPARK!
It will damage your device. Not a joke."
So what to do now? DOWNGRADE FIRST
3) The custom rom of my choise would be "Nextgen+ ROM 3.1". After installing it, will i be able to receive the latest MS WP7 updates the normal way? YES but why?
4) is there a not "enhanced" version of the latest Tango update? I would prefer that kind of version more then a custom one with functions/changes/bugs i do not like! If yes, where to find?
5) Is there any good how-to-do page to explain the flashing of custom roms? YES
sh4d0w86 has the best instructions here ! and thank him to !
read all that sh4d0w86 has

The image file is corrupted. Please check you Update Utility

Thanks, as i wrote, the bootloader shows the info i added in my last post.
i tried to open the tool to install rspl/hspl, but that programm doesnt load. i use windows 7, but everytime i open the program there is an error. i tried the program on a win XP pc and there it is working, but also after installing ZUNE i do not have a usb driver... so where do i get a usb driver?
okay so far: i can boot an old version of the OS! right now i am running an update and hope, that the SPL-Version is working for the RSPL/HSPL cracking!
The biggest problem right now is the version of my bootloader, which is SPL-1.57
This bootloader is not supporter by the RSPL/HSPL. How can i install a new bootloader, which is compatible.
When i choose a bootloader close to the 1.57 version, e.g. 1.56 or 1.60 the installation on the pc finishs, but the device is not booting and therefore the SPL is still standing there...
Could it be, that the installation needs some time? more then 5 minutes on the device, cause it looks like that my phone is freezed after it (when i remove the usb-cable, the screen still shows the usb connection...)
What is a radio?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD7/Radios
What version should i install? Is the radio = bootloader?
More and more problems.
the OS i now have installed has just english US keyboard... the update to Mango is not working too!
**** i just want to get back to the old version...
i am from germany, had a 5.X bootloader and latest mango update!
Please, can anyone help me to get back to that state?!?

hi stephanwiw
by what you have writen , you have downgraded your phone hspl bootloader to less then 3.xx . thats good
now flash/install cotulla custom hspl number 3 http://htcfanboys.com/download/cotulla/?action=view&file=2942
once you have done that, check bootloader screen again , should say cotulla
download custom rom, enter bootloader again and flash
radio comes with rom, so before you start to play with radio install, try phone first , see how it works then.....

Thanks for the help, but i choosed another way.
Finally i managed to install a clean "normal" rom from Mango. Installed all old apps again and i am happy to have a working phone again The complicated process of hacking my device is over!
But one last question is interesting for me: Is there any Tango Rom out for the HTC HD7 without any custom changes? Can it be installed without an hacked phone? Would i lost all my data again, or would it be a real update?
Thanks!

sorry to hear that you couldnt install custom rom!
if you have installed a stock rom, and plug phone to pc, run zune and once an updade is offered, you can update that way, and no you shouldnt loose any data that way.

similar problem!
hey guys! i'm new to the hd7 scene but i've done a lot of flashing previously. i've got a similar problem as stephanwiw. my SPL is the same (1.57.2250.0) and when i try to RSPL, the device just stays on the tricolour screen and doesn't restart. if i pull out the battery and go back into tricolour screen, it just says i still have OSPL of 1.57. i have windows 7 (64 bit) and i have WMDC installed.
does anyone know what the issue is here?
all help is appreciated
EDIT: just updating for anyone else who has a similar problem because i found a very simple solution
i was only choosing the closest SPL to mine which was 1.56. but then i chose one which was larger than the SPL that i had and that was 1.60. and that's all i needed. it actually makes sense in retrospect as to downgrade any SPL you need to flash an official ROM, so i guess this was a stupid mistake.
hi gagannitrate
nice to hear you worked it out and got it working!
it all sounds hard but all you need is to go slow and follow every step sh4d0w86 has listed.

Hi guys
I have a htc hd7 and I tried to downgrade it to pre mango by using ROM by ansar. when it reached a 100% there was an error message saying 270 image is corrupted.
After several attempts my started working with this rom and the tricolor screen now says:
PD29100 MFG SS-BC (4K)
SPL-1.57.2250.0(113571)
MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH S1(v1.8,#1624)
When I try to install RSPL my phone is recognised but it doesn't restart at the end of the process and RSPL isn't istalled. I tried all the versions 1.56, 1.60, 1.61, 1.64, 1.68, 1.69 but still I can't install RSPL
Can please someone help?
Thanks
hi jtsek
RSPL is not permenant, and only used once, so after every flash you have to flash again
HSPL will stay on your phone always,
but remenber if phone needs repair/warranty then before you send it, you have to flash stock rom again to get rid of HSPL because void warranty

Ok i am now ready to pull every last one of my hairs out my head! lol
To start my phone is
HTC HD7 on o2UK,
wp 7.5
os version: 7.10.8107.79
firmware version:2250.21.51101.206
hardware version: 0002
radio software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21u
radio hardware a.120.0.d4
Bootloader: 5.11.2250.0(134400)
chip soc 2.2.5.0
SPL-5.11.2250(134400)
I am wanting to downgrade so i can flash custom roms to my phone.
so far i have tried to downgrade by using goldcard with Y-Cable.
problems with that are,
1 stuck in usb host screen using micro sd 1gb with card reader.
2 got passed usb host screen with my flash drive 7gb but getting message "not allow".
i have tried flashing with rom update utillity using SCHUIMG.nbh, SPL_signed.nbh european rom. but goes to 1% then fails and phone reboots.
i have only had this phone a few days so i'm sorry if i have missed something simple.
any advice would be great.
thanks in advance,
Dan.
update also tried branded o2 RUU_Schubert_S_O2_UK_4.05.206.01_Radio_5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE
still same outcome

For me is the same,
I have used the same procedure and more others, but the downgrade process always goes wrong..
I noticed some mistakes who the app does before the upload process:
1) always can't find my phone when is connected to the PC
2) don't show my Os version when does the last examination
3) don't give you an advice if something goes wrong before the upload
I want to advice you some better ways to unlock our Phones:
1) In June probably will be the next OS Update, no?
Why they don't starting to work to a next custom unlock update for it?
Maybe if we don't update our phones whit the next, we have the opportunity to update with an custom version.
2) They try to create some app who read and replace the program codes inside the smarphone.
The better way to update our phone it's only Zune, we need a custom version of this.
Hope we find a way, bye.
Follow the gold card method its simple if u have right Y cable.
