[Req HELP] CM6 lockscreen mod

Im looking for how to mod the CM6 lock screen.
specifically i want to add volume indicators to it.
I have unzipped the CM6 extremely vanilla rom, dont see anything in it that jumps at me as related to the lock screen.
I have searched this forum, no luck.
I searched Cyanogens site, no luck..
either my search fu is crap, or its super secret stuff.

I don't know anything about modding the lockscreen, but you can buy WidgetLocker Lockscreen.... You can add all sorts of things to the lockscreen

It can be done but unless you know Java and are familiar with the aosp and cyanogen git hub i go with the above... widget locker.
Its in the frame works bas repo on cyanogens repo ... lockscreen.java.

i had seen the widget, but i didnt see that is specifically had the feature i wanted, i'll double check it..

[THEME] [UPDATE 4-29-11] WP7 Revolution PORT [ED01 tested]

*UPDATE!! With ED01 being released , i am trying to make sure this theme plays as nice as possible . Im having minor mms issues .. but thankfully it seems to only be me with the issues . Working on theming more apps , and maybe a few other goodies .

they show up , but they are not working correctly , i use WidgetLocker , so its not quite that big a deal to me . more than happy to work on it so it functions correctly .

Its cuz they don't work with the stock samsung player.

You should just bring the tutorial over here for people that are mostly just interested in the homescreen setups.. works like a charm over AOSP with honeycomb theme .. doesn't look too bad either

im in. let me know if you need me to do any thing. i will flash the theme in a couple of hours. there are still like 3 other themes and one rom i have to flash first(i have a bit of a flash addiction, some might say i have a problem).

oh, if you are not sure if something will brick your phone and dont feel up to a brick let me know. i will flash anything.

Not bad everything works well. I like the messaging app. it's missing... something. maybe some color. Maybe also boot animation. when I get back to a computer I will try and send you a link to the windows boot animation. You did a good job.

Do you know how to get the download progress bars working in the notification panel ? They just kinda flicker . .. and my glass lockscreen goes apesh*t , not that I ever use that one ..

i wish i did. i have been trying to figure out how to theme for a few weeks now. you are way further along on that than i am. im mostly good for a tester, completely willing to brick for the cause, lol. i am pretty good with adb but i cant even seem to get all the f*****g software for theming set up. eeeerrrrr. posses me off just thinking about it!

Yeah glass lock on V3 goes crazy . Looking into that tonight and progress bars.

(1) progress_horizontal.xml (within the drawable folder). Compare yours to one that works correctly.
(2) Make sure you have all the images for it in framework-res.apk. I wouldn't be surprised if that's your problem.

thanks for that .. will definitely be investigating both of those tonight .

Make sure to decompile the framework, if you haven't already, or else the xmls will look like a bunch of gibberish when you open them.

You can also just take the progress_horizontal from the original theme and use it.

[Q] [I9000] Overscroll + CRT only on Stock JVH rooted via CF-Root

Hello Everyone
I've finally flashed to the official stock XWJVH after waiting weeks for Meteor to release the update. Since I'm not on Meteor, nor reside in Ireland (phone was bought off eBay) I finally gave up and flashed my phone. This means that it is Odexed as far as I am aware.
To root the phone I flashed using the CF-Root kernel which added Tweaks, CWM and of course SuperUser.
I was looking forward to the overscroll glow and CRT lock animation that vanilla Android has, but am disappointed to find these were not included.
I've searched the forum, but can only find these these 2 mods included with things like the battery percentage and extended power menu (which puts me off - no offence to the developers)
Are there any ways to manually add the overscroll glow and the CRT animation without the other mods that I do not want?
Apologies, but I am new here so if I've posted in the wrong sub-forum etc. please feel free to tell me off

Ah have just seen something called the UOT Kitchen.
Once all the Gingerbread men have been made and the queue is open again, I will bake my own customisation.
Any objections to using the UOT Kitchen let me know before I go ahead?

The UOT Kitchen is only good enough for the Overscroll Glow Mod. The CRT Off Animation Mod is available in one or more threads here. If you even looks through my posts, I posted links to another person's thread asking the same, just a couple of days back.

I finally tried the one where it was called ElectronBeam (instead of CRT animation).
Followed the steps using APK manager, installed update and voila! My phone now acts like one of those old TV's when they turn off.

can some one make a custom lock screen for this rom ... or plz give instructions to make one
i installed cyanogenmod bt its not yet stable much like rc rom
so plz people give a short tutorial or some other codes through which i could make one ....
i really liked those features of cyanogenmod of using wallpaper at locked screen and ring unlocker and lense unlocker i really want to port those two on this rom if possible
i use windows os on pc so is it possible to make one ..?

Can't say about making but you can try widgetlocker with various themes posted on XDA, I think you will surely find something according to your taste

i know about this app and i had searched about it on net already the main problem is i dont have any credit or debit card of any bank till date thats the main problem with me

All i learned about lock screens till date is that these are certain image files that are set to do cetain action ... like on the basic stock rom the lock screen has four icons that are draged up to unlock the phone the base i learned about it is that locking screen do one thing place a application that allow only four things to be done (considering stock rom screen) first if draged up the first icon it will close the app (that's how screen is basically locked) dragging second icon closes app and runs dialer apk
so basically what i figured out is that the lock screen of an android is itself a application of its own kind that's why the market applications are also able to customize lock screen becoz there is no such thing like locking screen its jst an application seted to run over and above all applications and those drageble items are certain png's files which works as action buttons ...
so now as i figured it out soon i think will be able to customize it ...

[Q] Galaxy S i9000 Slimbean 2.3 Lockscreen Shortcuts

Hey All
1st post here.
Im from Cape Town, South Africa.
I have recently installed Slimbean 2.3 on my Galaxy S. Was on Slim ICS 4.2 before.
Everything works like a charm and I am very happy.
One thing that I havent managed to figure out yet, is the following. (And yes, I have searched, and also Im not allowed to post in the Slimbean thread):
On the lockscreen, where you have the unlock slider, I can not find the "sound/silent/vibrate" toggle anywhere.
So when your phone is locked and you want to change it to quiet/silent without having to unlock first, you simply slide to the "sound on/off" shortcut and it changes the phone setup to silent or vibrate and vice versa.
I have tried to find the setting in ASS lockscreen settings and I can change it to all sorts of app shortcuts, etc, I just cant find the sound switch
It was one of the standard options on Slim ICS roms.
Someone please help?

you should use an application for that capability
