When you go a factory reset on the revolution, it needs to do the activation when it restarts, luckily with a 4g phone, you don't need to call any numbers, just make sure the sim card is in and select your language and click next. it will take a few seconds and be ready to go again.
It will not let you exit out of the activation, it will stay at the activation screen forever! It frustrated me for days.

Since I use my dx2 on my plan that means if I factory reset I'm screwed ? Because my revolution is not active I just want to clear it out. So can I take the aim out and do it or ?

Just clear it out manually

Factory reset on droid 3 and now no data or phone...

I did a factory reset after my phone was being a bit glitchy and now it wont connect to 3g or send text messages...help? Should I just go to verizon or what
Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
yeah, that looks like a malformed recovery. Call VZW
Have you tried *228 and update programming?
Yes do the 228 it will get your 3g back. Most of the time when you do a factory reset it will automatically give you that option of dialing 228 but if it doesn't open up your dialer and do it.

This is the exact same thing that happened to me when I did a reset. You have to reactivate your phone

Thanks for posting! This is the only app of this purpose that works as I would expect it to.
I too was prompted after 10 days or whatever to pay for use afterward, so I clicked the button to allow me to pay for it, and the dialog just went away, and the service still works... How exactly is this charging me, if it is?
To follow up, it turns out thY it stopped working. Clearing the app data doesn't restore functionality. Clicking subscribe doesn't do anything either. Oh well.

I know that reflashing your ROM will restart the cityid free trial. Maybe just clearing cache and dalvik cache will restart it? Maybe manually clearing /data/data/com.cequint.ecid and allowing it to rebuild will restart it?
If I'm paying for it then went to a non sense rom how can I cancel it

Actually if you clear the data with Titanium, it will start over without having to reflash the rom
Clearing the dalvik cache works too.

without sim inside, if i press power button the phone say "no sim card, emergency call"
with sim inside, on the screen apear "touch the android to begin", see foto 2. after try to sign in we are in foto 3 situation
So your sim dosent have a data plan then? If this is the case you will need to borrow someone elses just to sign in initally or you need to use adb to bypass the sign in

lots of work trying to bypass to get into wifi... can't we just install a rom that doesn't go through that procedure?
Sure, thats a great idea, just be sure to root you phone first and then you can start flashing custom roms
Sent from my HTC MyTouch 4G Slide using xda premium
wifi not work, so i can't sign in. but i tried with a sim card from an internet modem, data sim card. i can't sign in, too. what rom can i write on it?
Like i said you need to either 1) find someone who has a simcard with data that works with the carrier the phone is meant to be on (unless phone is sim unlocked than any would work) or 2) use adb to bypass lock screen and turn wifi on.
Once all this is done you can root your phone and then put on one of many custom roms that allow you to bypass startup just by pressing next

im making a guide for rooting that will cover installing adb and fastboot, you could check it out once im finished ill have the google bypass method in there, youll just need wifi.
Moving to Q&A.
Thank you,

[Q] Call Problems CM10.1.3-RC

Flashed cm10.1 release candidate today. Everything seemed fine, then I discovered I wasn't receiving calls and wasn't able to make calls either. Anybody have any similar issues? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may have done to cause this or if there are any settings I may need to change? Please help. Thanks in advance.
I literally just had this problem and spent the past 5 hours with useless tech support.
Don't call Sprint tech support, they just end up doing something on their end that makes you lose your texting and data, too. They ****ed me so hard I have to go into a repair center.
I can't even get another phone correctly activated in the meantime to use as a placeholder.
I'm just as lost as you are, too.
Try ##786# menu and reset. Make sure you are in a good signal area, this will do hands free activation and update prl.

The problem with trying that is the phone number and MSID fields are now blank, and going into the other dialer menu ##221542# and setting them that way doesn't stick past the reboot it forces when you try and apply those.
Maybe try following this thread

Tried that a couple different times with a couple different tech support reps, each time the phone number and MSID don't stick afterwards.
Sorry I tried, I don't have any other ideas. Hopefully someone else can help.

My older phone is finally activated (took well over an hour for calls and data to come back to it, by far the longest I've ever seen a phone take). So at least I have a phone again.
Good luck OP, I'm going to visit a Sprint store tomorrow to see what they say. Report back in on whatever it is you try and what you find does/doesn't work.
Did you try set ril.class to HTCCDMAQUALCOMMRIL in the build.prop

I couldn't seem to find that line but I'll look for it again after work. What line is it numerically and what exactly does the line say?

Yeah, I just read through the entire thing, that line is missing. I'll add it in and see what changes.
Posting again instead of editing for the sake of the bump.
Let me know if this works for you. This is driving me crazy.

It didn't do anything. I'm heading to a Sprint store right now.

Back from the Sprint store, the rep I had happens to be a flasher like one of us. I explained to him what had happened and he got right to ordering me a new phone after a $50 deductible.
So, OP, we were both SOL. The MSID had gotten corrupted (similar to how in the early days of the Galaxy S3, it had a chance to lose its ESN) and couldn't be re-written. Only thing to do is get a replacement.

Selling Sprint HTC One

I switched to AT&T and want to sell my Sprint HTC One. I noticed after hard resetting the phone, it still has my phone number and current username info under About>Phone Identity. Does anyone know how to remove this info?
You can't really unless u sell it to someone and they activate the phone under their account then once that is done they have to update the phone profile under settings- activate device- update profile

Thanks. I thought there was a ## code that would to delete but I guess I was wrong

You should be able to do this. I was able to do it on my EVO, but obviously, this info MAY be out of date.
You will need your MSL though, and unless you're rooted, you'll need to call Sprint to get it anyways. As the mod in the linked thread points out, you might as well get their help with it since you'll have to call them anyways. My EVO was rooted so I've known my MSL all along.
