1,decompile bluetooth.apk with the apktool
2,put the tow files in compression .rar to smali\com\android\bluetooth\opp
3,recompile bluetooth.apk
4,find the new classes.dex in build\apk
5,open bluetooth.apk with winrar,then pull the new classes.dex in step 4 to bluetooth.apk
6,now you can receive apk file via bluetooth
I only test on 2.2.2 rom,developers test this on your own rom at your own risk.

Um... or you can just rename the .apk part to .txt transfer then rename it back rather than messing with a decent bluetooth apk. But what ever works XD

Here's the Bluetooth.apk for 4.5.91 with the updated classes.dex using the files from the OP. Anyone care to test it? I don't have two phones handy right now to try sending APK files from one to the other.
Just unrar the file attached and you will see the Bluetooth.apk file inside.

thanks OP for the good work! i myself find it very troublesome to rename it everytime i send a bunch of apk files. i dunno why google is stupid to filter some file types. i think for security, the prompt message (when receiving file) is enough.

Make a folder on your storage card called 'ART' and in this another folder called 'CARS'. You then put your 24-bit .bmp files in here, they need to be 80*80 pixels.

I watched a video on youtube where a guy had a scene from the Iron Man movie as his boot screen on the nexus one. So, I decided to make me a animated boot screen. My question is can I make a .wmv my bootanimation, and if so then how. I've seen the bootanimations posted on this site, I just want something unique. I've had custom boot screens on both of my G1's and customized my recovery image, so I know how to do it for the G1, but I want to put my movie clip on my nexus as the bootanimation. Please some real advise, no theories.

Thanks a bunch though, but I already been to both places, before I posted thread, I was trying to avoid creating a bunch of png's, very time consuming, and figured I'd simplify the process. What I should've asked was can I convert wmv file into a series of png files, and if so what tool do I need. Dude had a cut from Iron Man, so I know it can be done, I just need somebody who's done it to view this thread.
Use some type of video editing program to split it into separate png files.
You could use a video editing program to export the WMV clip you have into a sequence of PNGs.
Try VirtualDub. It's free.

Is it possible? Ive been googling out for about an hour and I couldn't find anything about changing the sound. A lot about silencing it but zero about changing out to a custom sound. I replaced the camera_click.ogg in system/media/audio/ui and (mnt)/sdcard/soundz/ui (the only three places I could finday camera_click.ogg, the second folder bring one of my own with so bunch of downloaded audio). I also searched for sound_1 (the name of the sound when changing it from the in-camera settings).
Sorry it's so long-winded. Just wanted to say what I've already tried.

Right, it has four options: sound_1, sound_2, sound_3, and off.
My question was: where on the internal sd are those three sounds located so I can change them to any .ogg of my choosing?

i think you need to read some tutorials on decompiling/recompiling apks before you attempt these kinds of edits. its good if you understand what signing means.

Just grab the entire apk, open it with 7zip file manager and drop the one of your choosing in the archive, make sure it's the same file type and had the same name.

as far as I know you can't, because it's not compatible with our "legacy"devices
as for editing the apk to fit your need you must get a permission from the developer to do that; or you will be kicked in the a**(just kidding)
It is possible if you get it from other sources, its difficult because of the size issue - but still fun!

Right, I have a few complications here.... I decompiled it and there is a lack of files! I don't know if I can reaize it as there appears to be no images/xml's to resize!

Not if it's floss you don't, you don't need to ask permission even if they say so as long as it's under a correct license and you can't mix licences even under V2 of the GNU public license.
You might wonder how MIUI can be proprietary, well they can't and are not any more.
You can take anything and change it in any way without asking permission as long as you redistribute it under the same version of GNU licence.
AND YOU CAN DO SO IN ANY WAY YOU PLEASE.
When someone says that you can't, it just means they don't have a clue about the licence, the code or the intentions of the floss community, give them the finger and be done with them.

Thanks for telling me about apktool.
I decompiled it and looked around the directory structure and opened some ascii text files... nothing more really.
There seemed to be a load of some kind of Assembly Language files
Maybe it's hidden somewhere? I may have a look at it again tomorrow...

I'd really like to see a XAP archive made available. I have a personal archive of some apps that I've bought. The idea is to mitigate situations where an app is no longer available on the marketplace (for whatever reason - temporary misidentification by MS certifier techs, trademark dispute, developers not renewing their store accounts, etc) even though you purchased it and have a license for it.
One potential problem (and why I'm not posting my own collection here) is that it would enable installation of paid apps by people who didn't buy a license - piracy.
Regardless, is there some sort of archive to mitigate the above situation? Is there any effective way to do it without enabling pirating apps while respecting the rights of people who bought licenses?

Are you talking to me? That was my whole point.
Also, removing the app manifest makes the app completely not installable, which may prevent piracy but also renders the archived XAP file pretty useless...
To the OP, I don't know of any real way to do what you're asking, short of just making a personal collection and not sharing it.

It's probably possible to re-build the archive and all of the required metadata, but I see no particularly legitimate reason to do so...
