Hello guys.
Im trying to flash TalonDev kernel and im running XXJVH firmware (from kies).
Using 1.30 Odin and i am sure that KiesPDLR.exe and KiesTrayAgent.exe is closed.
Odin shows that phone is added and when im trying to flash it hangs at SetupConnection..
So im pulling the battery entering download mode and trying again but same problem.. im now stuck at this screen:

}
If anyone is able to help me i will gladly donate you a pizza
try a different usb port and if still it doesnt work , get a new cable.. that symbol generally indicates connectivity issues..
PS: RIGHT CLICK ON ODIN AND RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR..
I have tried different usb ports and running Odin as administrator, i am thinking about using another version of Odin, which one is to recommend?
Any other ideas?
Do you have the proper USB drivers installed? Try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961956
Are you flashing the kernel as PDA? Also, try using Odin3 v1.82: http://www.mediafire.com/?mp3dj37882a4a0z
use odin 1.82

Hi! I've converted my i9000 to ext4 and used it for a couple days...
Today I've tried to flash a new rom and forgot that it was on ext4. No i can't install any rom. I can only enter download mode. Any help how can I flash a stock or other rom?
Thanks!
You can flash 2.3.6 jvu value pack and then go from there.
I've done it a few times and it worked.
Google it or go to droidangles
http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2012/01/i9000xxjvu-android-236-upgrade-for.html
download mode odin and flash stock rom take a look around and you will find out how
1 / Install the Base ROM clean:
- Turn on the phone to Download (not connected)
- Open Odin

}
- Check RePartition
- Place:
Pit 512 in PIT
CODE OR PDA in PDA
PHONE OR MODEM in PHONE
CSC in CSC
- Connect the GS (a yellow box should appear)
- Click on Start and wait Until the end, ie When writing ODIN PASS
- Allow restart. Unplug and turn off your GS.

It worked!
Thanks a lot!

Hi All,
pls note
before making this post i have utilised the forum functionality of similar threads, although some of the people facing this same issue have had their issues solved mine remains unsolved
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit
Device: Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000
Version: 2.3.3 Gingerbread
Query: Need to upgrade to 2.3.6 first then ICS_4.0.3_MR1-RC4.2_I9000
now to begin with "Drivers"
Following is the screenshot

Process followed
1) Phone in kies mode
2) Driver installed
3) Pc rebooted
4) Phone started in download mode
5) Odin started using "Run as Administrator" option
Odin versions tested 1.3,1.7,1.85
None of the versions recognize my device
Tried different ports the device does get recognized by PC even in download mode but not by Odin
[Solved] in spite of the message popping up in drivers update, the modem driver wasnt updated... all went well now my phone is updated to ICS 4.0.3
Hi guys, today I tried to root my friend's captivate...apparently I'm not supposed to use Odin on that and got impatient and pulled the USB when Odin got stuck on one of the first steps...attached is what my friend's phone looks like now.

I'm trying to use Odin now to flash I897UCKH3_I897UCKH3_I897UCKH3_HOME.tar
because apparently my phone is still in download mode and can take it. Now Odin just gives me another screenshot..
That screen is fine. KK4 is the official ginger bread. I'd download the .tar file put it in the PDA slot and let it flash. FYI all you need to do for root is flash a kernel with CWM baked in I believe.
Follow this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989 it's a one-click that will restore your phone from the "phone ! PC" screen.
Sent from my AOKP icy-glitched Captivate via Tapatalk 2
Please, do you have a link? one on samsfirm is broken (
:| I'll try flashing KK4 first
THANKS GUYS!!!!
Erm, how do I flash the kernel with CWM?

try to install samsung kies if you're on stock 2.3
or download the correct drivers for 6500 !
Hey all,
I am very inexperienced with custom OS on Android and I was trying to install a lineageOS so that I can run octoprint on my tablet for my 3d printer. In doing so, I somehow deleted the stock OS.
Now my device either flashes the samsung logo (if I boot normally) or it can get to the download screen if I hold Power + Home + Vol Down. But I can't seem to get my computer to find the device, so I can't connect it with Odin. Do you know of any guides or threads you could point me to? Or how to fix this?
My model is SM-T713.
Thank you
I downloaded the stock firmware from here - https://github.com/ivanmeler/SamFirm_Reborn/releases/tag/0.3.6.3
I am trying to use odin to reflash it to my device, but it seems the device isn't being found.

Pressing Start in Odin does nothing. Is there something I am missing?
Fixed it, kind of. It was a bad cable. Switching out the cable allowed Odin to connect, it downloaded and passed, but it is still stuck on the samsung logo.
