About:
Well long time ago I created theme called MEIZU and some time ago I created theme MIUI, both uses special statusbar tweaks, but I have noticed that many other themers started to use these tweaks in their themes so I think it's a good idea to open separate topic about it.
What we can do:
enable transparent statusbar
enable tablet buttons
put operator name on statusbar
move clock form right to center on statusbar (idea by Taine0)
enable 2nd image for pulled down statusbar and:
- adjust date
- disable icons
Main window:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
1. Browse statusbar tweaks
2. Browse system tweaks
3. Read log
New ideas are welcome
Important:
Remember that some roms needs to install statusbar patch twice, so install patch, reboot (you will lost statusbar), install undo and reboot, then once more install patch, do the last reboot and finally it will work - don't know why that many steps, but tested and works well.
Same for tablet tweaks, but after 1st patch you will get a bootloop, so put off and put it the battery, go to recovery install undo, reboot, install patch again and phone will work like a charm

okay so when you choose center clock you have to go through the process for center date transparent status bar? i already have the transparent status bar and center date so if i go through the center clock option and bypass the smali editing of 0x2 to -0x3 (since my smali file is already edited) my clock will be in the center?
i thought you can just patch the clock in center?
@simono_pl I didn't say to press 0 I said press 1 then 2, not only 2
@grimjeeper if your bar is already transparent, choose 0,1,2 then 1 for center clock (and when patcher will open smali folder and text guide file close both, go back to patcher choose 3,4,7 and install patch

DO A BACKUP BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING!!!
For some reason, my .zip doesnt want to be flashed, so instead push framework-res.apk and CusSystemUI_hdpi.apk with ADB to their corresponding places! Delete unlock_alldpi.apk from /system/app ( MAYBIE IT IS CALLED A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT.THIS IS THE NAME OF THE FILE IN GERMAN RETAIL ROM, AND IN ORANGE FRANCE IT IS CALLED DIFFERENT SO PLEASE SEARCH IT A LITTLE, AND YOU WILL FIND IT.) If you dont know what is ADB, please dont do anything! Why is this posted in android themes? That framwork res won't work on any other device, so post it in your device's section. Also, remove the pictures that show you downloading warez. They are not allowed and this is a dev forum, nobody wants to see you stealing their work.

I agree with you on that specific photo.
However, we don't have a forum for our device here in xda, no matter how many pm's we've sent to mods asking for one, they probably think our device is not popular enough, or I don't know what it is.
So for that reason I think this is the most appropiate place to post this thread.

Another thing, although it says Motorola motoluxe in the title, you should have a bold warning right next to the download link warning people not to flash if this is not their exact device.

Creating an New theme
Go to Fle > New Theme
and you will see the window below. In put the name of your theme and save it.
Guide Screenshot 2
Then you will see the following window. ( Description in screen shot )
Guide Screenshot 3
Buttons
All the buttons are self explanatory but i will add some description where needed
Save : This is to save the changes made to the projects.
Generate full MTZ : This is used to compress and make the mtz file of the theme project to be used in phone
Apply Recent Changes : For this and next option to work your phone must be connected to PC. this option apply the recent theme changes to your connected phone (Useful when testing a smal change).
Full apply: This option apply the Full theme to your Phone.
Reload: This option will discard unsaved changes and will load the theme from theme directory (added PNG's Will stay there, will be explained later)
Setting: Have only option to copress the font if you want.(Have'nt used it).
Differents Tabs and their Functions
Now Some information about diffrent Tabs and options on them.
Description Tab: Already explained in screen shot shown above.
Icons Tab: This tab is used to add icons to theme. When you click on the icon tab it have three further tabs, System icons, Default theme icons and Others. Before you proceed further Click on Sync button at the bottom of the icons. (Your phone must be connected in debug mode to the PC) This sync option will get all default icons from your phone including 3rd party apps. Now to change any Icons check below.
Guide Screenshot 4
on the default theme icons tab there are some default 3rd party icons avialable in theme editor and others tab have the icons repalcement option for apps installed in your phone. procedure is same for all three tabs
Note. you dont need to rename your icon, Progran will do it for you! just drop it to the proper place.
Thats it if you just want to creat new icon pack. Just click on create full MTZ button and copy the mtz file to your phone and import it to theme manager or just click complete apply to your theme. But if you want to theme your Apps and change text colors then read on
Modules tab: This tab is the most important tab for themeing MIUI.
Guide Screenshot 5
Creating New App Module
Here is how to create the App's theme module.
Guide Screenshot 6
As an example I have selected the Contacts module (only one module at a time). you will see screen shown below , if different then click "change edit mode" button.
Guide Screenshot 7
Now click on the first item in the folder view and follow the screen shot. again names of your png's doesnt matter. you have to go through all the view and find the red boxes, click on it and repalce the png's you want to change. If you want to keep the system default png just leave it blanck.
Guide Screenshot 8
For modifying PNG's you can use the V4_templete (link at top) png's as a refrence. you can edit them to your requirements and then use them.
Changing the text Color
To change the text colors of the module items, click on the "change edit mode" button while contacts module is stille open. see bellow.
Guide Screenshot 9
Guide Screenshot 10
Do the same procedure for all the Modules and PNG's and color's in it. Framework-miui-res and Framework-res are most important modules. Changes in Framework-miui-res effects all the MIUI applications, especially colors and Changes in Framework-res module can effect both MIUI apps and any other 3rd party app so be careful !!!! you might get white on white color problem.
Note: You dont need to recompile your 9.png's. just add contents and strech borders using the "NinePatchEditor" or sdk Draw9Tool. and thats it put it in the theme and compress the theme and it will do the rest.
Testing
Now its time to test your theme before release/share. You should test all the MIUI apps for proper theming as well as 3rd party apps for color problems. If you find any problem then just reopen or drag drop you theme directory on Theme Editor to reopen /edit your theme.

I made these mods using my Xperia T with 9.1.A.1.140 JellyBean Sony Stock Firmware.
This kind of center clock works flawlessly and without any overlaps
If you need this mod for a previous firmware, have a look to this thread by dkownacki.
Many many thanks to Ticklefish for this tutorial and for this great tool.
---
Requirements:
- every rom based on .140 JellyBean Stock Firmware
- DEODEXED
- ROOT and CWM recovery installed
(if you don't know what I'm talking about, you can find a full deodexed and rooted .140 stock rom HERE by gregbradley)
Installation:
- download the .zip file and put it into your device SD card
- reboot in CWM recovery
- install the .zip file and reboot
WARNING: this installation makes a backup automatically.
If something goes wrong or if you just don't like this mod, don't worry: go back to CWM recovery and install the backup .zip file that has been created inside the UniversalFlasher directory of your device SD card

Pull and decompile SystemUI with this tool following the instructions inside very carefully..
Go within the directory res/layout and open up status_bar.xml with Notepad++
Please, read this tutorial.
Add this
Code:
android:textColor="#ff278ab1"
inside the line where you see
Code:
android:id="@id/clock"
and inside the line where you see
Code:
android:id="@id/battery_text"
Save the file.
Then recompile and prepare SystemUI.apk to push as a system file.
Good luck

yes, i mean the blue ones by gregbradley.
i've once tried to flash the transparent statusbar and some kind of power widget mod but my guess is the mods come frome the same file so it's one or another but never both.
i got my flashables from this topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2082763&highlight=transparent
i know they are not for .140 but they work anyway..
(i tried to do some theming myself with my old LG Optimus Black but i always get stuck with the decompiling and compiling stuff.)
somehow i never get it to work but maybe i will give it a try again when i have some free time..
anyway, i really appreciate the work your doing here..

I'm already working on transparency, but it takes more time than usual and, however, I want to complete other two versions before: one with the power button and one with the blue Lidroid widget
It's just a question of time.

Hi all, this is a mod i started making for my own device, and decided to share it.
It is based on the files contained in the deodexed ROM I uploaded here, which is in turn based on the FTF uploaded by @Leo here.

Even though I do delete/disable most system apps I don't use, there are some that I don't consider bloatware (although don't necessarily use) and I leave installed, which I have also modded since after changing the system framework they would look wrong/weird, and which are also included here, in case anyone uses them.
This is not a "theme" which you install and manage through the Theme section of settings. This is a modded framework and apps which, once flashed, will replace your current framework and the apps included. It mods the entire framework, which will change the aspect of certain apps that rely on system default themes. Even though I have tried to check and correct every visual flaw, there might be certain apps that might have visual inconsistencies. If you find any, please let me know.
Also, since this is a "blue" colored mod, it will look best with a blue theme, such as Air or Xperia. I personally don't use themes, and leave it on the default "Xperia" theme. The apps packaged in the zip file will not change if you change the default Theme, they are hardcoded to use the color I've used for this mod. If you have and use other apps that change depending on the theme, then you would probably want to use any of the two themes mentioned above.
I would have preferred to make this into an actual installable theme APK file, but haven't found a way to actually compile asset files while using a modded "styles.xml" file, since this mod doesn't just replace PNG files. Anyway...
Apps contained in this mod:
Calculator
Calendar
Messaging
Contacts/Phonebook
Dialer
Settings
SystemUI
Xperia Home Launcher
Clock
Package Installer*
*Fixed the visual bug with the app title dropping over the divider line, so no need for the "Fix Sony Bugs" Xposed module
Custom Features:
Transparent gradient status bar/navigation bar when on Xperia Apps, or windows identified as having being able to use a "transparent background" for status bar and navigation bar
5 button symmetric navigation bar with custom icons. You need Gravity Box, (or similar app) to force the left-most menu button to always be visible, and I use GB to reassign the key commands as so:
Double tap Menu key to turn screen off, and long press it to bring up the Power Menu; reassign the the "Recent apps" button so that it behaves as a "Back" button, and enable the "Menu" button to always be visible, that you way you have the exact same layout on both sides, so you can use it with one hand either from the left or the right. Then I make the "Recent apps" list appear when double tapping/long pressing the "Home" key.

Default button placement is, from left to right: "Recent Apps, Home, Back, Menu".

Installation notes:
Even though this is intended to be used with a modded services.jar, which can be done manually following this guide, I have also attached a "signed" version, which might work with a non-modded ROM. I can't confirm this for a fact because I haven't taken the time to restore the unmodded services.jar, but it worked fine on my modded ROM. Anyone one who wants to try it out can do so at their own risk (as if anything seriously bad could really happen) . Attached is my modded "superuser.jar".
Installation:
.- Make a backup (obviously)
.- Flash modded "services.jar" file, or patch it yourself.
.- Flash AP_NeonFrameworkMod.zip
.- Wipe cache (optional, but recommended)
.- Reboot

Click to collapse
*People who want to try the theme and haven't modded or flashed the "services.jar" file, you can use this file, which has signed apps. Once again, I do not take responsibility if apps force close and you don't know how to restore your default framework/apps.
The status bar and navigation bar icons seen in my screenshots have been modded used Gravity Box (xposed module); The wallpapers are also attached which match the default background used as the default background: a scrollable wallpaper for people who like a scrolling wallpaper, and another one for those who don't.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for your phone not booting up due to changes you have made to the default state of your ROM

HINT: In the event that you would want go back to your default ROM state without having to restore an entire backup, you can simply extract the apps listed above from your ROM before flashing, or extract them from the zip/FTF you used to flash your ROM, use them to replace the ones in the zip file using 7zip, and then flash that file.

All you'd need to do is use 7zip to open the same file you flashed, and replace the apk files contained in system/app with the ones from your original ROM, as well as replace the "framework-res.apk" from the system/framework folder.

Relook to Thread i have Edit it Now
if it Works hit thanks and post screenshot
You've done a fairly good job on this one but it messes up the status bar pretty bad even after you mentioned the fixes it even turned on the crt off animation even if I didn't want to. I also didn't like the clock on the status bar to function as a power button... a little more tweaking on the code (just restrict it to the UI changes on the posted screenshot of yours) then maybe you'll even see this ported to Blekota's rom. Overall good job mate :good:
