android 2.1 backup - GT540 Optimus Android Development

i had a 2.1 backup in recovery which was working when i checked last time but today when i wanted to go back to 2.1 i when into recovery to flash it, it got flashed but it gets stuck on the lg logo
anyone know any solution i dont want to flash 2.1 again through kdz

Format all partitions, except sdcard(obviously) clean dalvik cache, restore, clean dalvik again, and try to boot. it might take a while, but let's hope it at least boots.

If you are using Mur4ik's KDZ or program to resize partitons, it seems that system in backup is too large, so you have to restore original partition sizes.

Here is how to get your original partition sizes back.
Download the original size bootloader file from here.
Flash the file in fastboot using:
fastboot flash APPSBL appsboot_250_134_64.mbn
fastboot reboot
Then restore your recovery backup. If you want to remove fastboot & recovery, flash your recovery backup, then use SwiftBootloaderBuilder to remove fastboot & recovery.

First of all, make sure that you have Clockwork Recovery on your phone. Download the Android 2.1 recovery backup from here.
Put the 'signed_041011 183449.zip' on the SDCard (preferably in the root of the drive)
Flash the 'appsboot_250_134_64.mbn' file that I posted above.
When fastboot says 'rebooting....' Hold down home + power to enter recovery then go to 'install zip from sd card', then 'choose zip from sd card' and pick the signed_041011_183449.zip and select yes. When that finishes, go back and select 'wipe data/factory reset' choose yes and then select reboot. You should be greeted with Android 2.1.
Hope it helps.

Ok so far so good but where is that "SwiftBootloaderBuilder" i cant find it in the forum

htc nexus one stuck in bootloader with broken power button

Hello my nexus one is stuck in Bootloader mode,
I power button broke, I tried all the fastboot commands that I know to get it to boot to rom and still a no go. any help?
on fastboot mode...
just do this on your pc(windows)
fastboot boot "yourrecoveryimage".img
When you get to recovery try to reflash your rom, copy the ZIP file to your sdcard(you can mount that storage on recovery), wipe dalvik and cache.
If this doesn't work, wipe everything and flash a good known stable rom.

Working with flyhalfs touch (CWM) version, everything is fine.
After flashing the recovery u should fastboot erase cache.
If u got no rom on SD u should connect an OTG before booting into recovery and flash zip from external sd.

erasing the cache solved the problem. thanks helmut!
Mine still not having it it's saying tampered and unlocked any ideas
Flash this
Then flash it from cmd with
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
If there are still problems, rename CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img to "recovery.img" and use the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
LG, Helmut
Still nothing going to unroot and try again what's the best way to root cause the one I used is crap a link would be great thanks

When you flash the recovery.img, was it successful and did you wipe the cache afterward?
Are you able to enter the bootloader then select Recovery, does it try to enter recovery then reboots?

I get the screen saying unlocked and fast boot and so on you know the one with all the coloured text but won't do anything else
Try flashing a different recovery to the one you have installed.

I seem to be having the exact same problem. Really starting to annoy me, I need to root my phone already haha!
Did you end up getting it to work?
Cheers!

according to the TWRP thread, it doesn't seem to be supported yet
I've got the same problem with the non working recovery. I now tried the CWM Touch AND Classic Recovery v6.0.3.0.
I tried to flash them with the All in One Tool by Hasoon 2000 and also manually with CMD commands (fastboot flash recovery & afterwards fastboot erase cache). It always said flash successful, but it's not able to boot into recovery.
I've got a Swiss HTC One Branded by Swisscom (which seems to use a vodafone CID: VODAP110).
My Build Number is 1.28.161.7 CL162357 release-keys
may that cause the problem?
I somehow got it to work. I didn't make any changes (that I can remember) but I tried it the next day again, booting into recovery with the HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V1.0, and it just worked!
Hopefully you guys can get it to work somehow too!
HA! I finally got it.
Just don't try to flash recovery as recovery, flash it as a boot img. CWM touch and TWRP was NOT working for me, but normal CWM does.
But it seems to be some issues with ADB, so please wait until i got my Guide ready

you used "fastboot flash boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.0-m7.img" and it worked?
I don't want to mess up my phone, because I can't backup my current boot.img...

[q] custom recovery issue!!!!!

so i was reading the instructions for the ARHD 10.1 rom and there was one part that was bugging me, the part that said you need the firmware package but it also says(recommended but not needed for now), but i went ahead and flashed it. it also said "There is no need to flash latest hboot!". so to be safe i backup everything. now after i flashed the rom everything was running smoothly but then i decided to go back into recovery. when i reboot into recovery, the screen said entering recovery then it went it cwm touch and then it existed then boot back to the htc start-up screen. this happens every time i flash something. but this time its different. i usually flah the twrp recovery then flash back the cwm recovery and it is fixed but it seems that since my phone is running 4.2.2 its not working..please help. i was thinking of using fastboot to flash the recovery 2.17.401.1..... please help

How to flash images with fastboot?

My phone is almost bricked
I was trying to install sevenrov v3.2 while i was on v3.1 and i ****ed up everything while doing a fullwipe
Right now there is only fastboot&rescuemode available
twrp is not working, because it does no read the digitizer(i cannot press anything)

I believe that is best to flash images through fastboot.
But what images should i flash?

Oh dear! You are in a mess. All I can suggest is that you flash the stock recovery and then install a stock ROM for your phone using the force update (dload) method that has been described in other threads. Then you can return to a custom ROM of your choice. As far as I know CWM for this phone is only in Chinese so it may be of little value unless you understand the language.

cwm has english also but it has no use for me
Only fastboot works
dload method does not complete, the blue progress bar goes up to to 85% and stays there forever...
I am looking for a mathod to create a flashable zip for fastboot
to use fastboot flash filename.zip command
or flash each partition seperatly , i tried the method with huawei extractor
extracted the images system,root,boot,cache,cust,userdata
flashed each one on their partitions
but without success

Why you do not flash twrp recovery in fastboot mode and then install a flashable ZIP?
Edit:
In this thread, are the same probs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56634210
Short: install recovery and try to flash a rom again.
I See your post in this thraed that this not work for you but i think you have to try it again. In fastboot mode you can flash recovery and cust. Its that working?
Can you explain step by step what are you doing?

First of all thank you,
Right now my phone is in a bootloop(not more than 6 sec duration, with short vibration)
3 buttons , power button tricks and combos don't seem to work
The only way to exit the bootloop is by sending the fastbbot reboot recovery command and wait for some loops while you are doing the vol+vol-power combo
Then the phone enters fastboot rescue mode
I get reply when sending the fastboot devices command,
And the phone has unlocked bootloader (OEM command)
I can flash images extracted from the official 135 ROM
I tried cust boot user data system cache recovey , and the are all flashed correctly
But I can't get into recovery mode aftethe reboot (yes I am doing the 3 buttons trick)
I tried different SD cards with different update.app each time, from b135 official and sevenrom3 (yes I put them in /dload folder)
I even tried flashing cwm and twrv recovery images in the recovery partition, but I got in a bootloop after the reboot again
So I am asking if there is anyway to flash the partitions correctly from fastboot or maybe send a kernel image with some offset and run it with the fastboot command
Of course adb does not work, not responding
Maybe reparation the storage?
I don't know
And I am desperare...

Okay...
your system is so messy. we must bring fully to factory condition first time.
Plesse try to flash stock recovery img. (In your post you write only that you have tryed twrp/cwm).
And then try update in recovery.
I not think your phone is broken. You can try my tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...eandadjust-t2941186/post56774286#post56774286). There is a stock recovery img in it. In your case you have to flash cust img to.

Thank you but I already did flash the official recovery image, both extracted from a factory update.app and your recovery.IMG also... None of them worked.... Iam still in the same bootloop.
I am starting to believe that the partitions have been ****ed up.
Any way to repartition?
Also is there a procedure to create a flashable zip with huawei software extractor? I edited the accompaning XML to add the p7 device on the list (copy data from p6 and changed the name) created the zip but fastboot doesn't flash the zip because its missing 2 XML files which I can't remember their name.
And at this point I would like to give my 2 cents of advice to everyone who might listen,
Before you flash anything from a microsd, first verify the card with h2testw, and always use high quality microsd and never ever stop a flashing procedure by any means. . i would like to make it more extreme and advise to use a software with copy verification (like richcopy) when you copy files that are going to be flashed.
I tend to believe that a faulty microsd is the cause of my problems... Even though I checked the microsd afterwards and didn't got any errors.
I would advise the ROM creators to append this on their posts!

Question How do i get Stock recovery to not replace TWRP when rebooting???

Tried a bunch of things to make the TWRP installation persistent, but it just goes back to MIUI recovery when i reboot from the system.
I'm using TWRP 3.5.2 by Nebrassy.
USB debugging turned on
Correct drivers installed
fastboot devices work Using minimal ADB and fastboot
I have the file renamed as TWRP.img.
Steps i followed:
fastboot boot "TWRP.img" - Correctly boots into TWRP
install the TWRP image to the recovery partition - Happens with no errors
Reboot to system - No errors there as well
Reboot to recovery - Goes back to MIUI recovery.
Can someone please tell me what i should do?
PS: Tried with TWRP 3.6.0 as well just now. Same issue.

Try again to flash TWRP dirty and if it's started don't boot with software. You have to boot TWRP again by pressing volume + and power button until you'll get vibration , afterwards you'll be in TWRP again, clear dalvik and cache and restart system via TWRP menu

Sorry mate that didn't work. Still going back to stock recovery...
Since i didn't find a solution to make the installation presistant, i went ahead and flashed Elixir with the temporarily booted TWRP. Then wiped cache and dalvik, flashed the TWRP image, formatted data and then rebooted. Now it works.
Edit: This method did something to my recovery. I can boot to system and recovery fine but TWRP isn't able to mount the data partition. So i'm not able to flash anything or root the device anymore.
I tried formatting data, no luck.
Then tried repairing the data partition. No luck.
Changed the file system to EX2 and then EX4... Nothing.
Anyone know a solution for this?

1. With MiFlash there is an option at the bottom of the screen to lock bootloader. Just make sure it is NOT checked, and you will be safe to use MiFlash without relocking bootloader.
2. When installing TWRP for first time, it is essential that your first reboot is straight back to TWRP - then it becomes persistent, and future reboots to recovery will be to TWRP. If you do not do the first reboot back to TWRP, the stock MIUI ROM recovery reinstalls itself.

The first ever twrp install i did, i rebooted to system by mistake but i reflashed twrp and made sure to reboot to recovery.... That was the second try. I think i may have tried at least two dozen times since that but it just kept booting back to stock recovery...
I think I'll run with this until the end of Jan and then redo everything from scratch...
