So there I was playing a game on my DS7, battery around 80‰, I pressed the power button to put the tab to sleep, now it doesn't respond to any button. Tried plugging it in to power charger, charge indicator light doesn't even turn on.
Any ideas?

Edit: Solved now, thank you. needed to use a crafts-mounting pin because the hole for the reset button was too small for a push pin!
There is a pin hole reset button next to the SD card slot. Give that a try

That did it, was odd, flashing red charging LED when I first tried to turn it on, acted like the battery was 0%. Charged it overnight and working just fine again :\
That happens to me every once in a while especially after playing certain games. Glad its working again for you.

Hello guys, for some reason when plugged in this will not power on(my dell streak). The lights turn on dimly but that's about it.
Any idea why this might be happening? Or is it best to send it to the scrap heap?
Sounds like a hardware issue. I'd send it to Dell asap.
and if it's no longer under warranty?
I don't mind opening it and attempting to repair it. I just need an idea of what needs to be fixed or replaced.

Wall charger or plugged into a USB port on a computer?
Might be a bad pin on the connector, might be if not if enough volt/amp if you are not using wall charger, might be dead battery.

doesn't charge with either. I just ordered a new plug though to be sure. I'll give it a shot when I get it. know where I could buy another battery if it is it? its not on eBay or Amazon
the 3 side LED lights turn on, charger light is red, nothing works. not even hard reset or resetting with power button and volume +-
hold in the hard reset button for 2min to confirm that it wont do anything
It just because u over exhausted baterry. I had it be4. Let it charge for 2 hr u will be okay. Or, charge 10 min then hard reset and confirm if u can still fastboot or recovery, reinstall sodtware

I have tried all the combination of up up down down left right select start super contra mode, None of that works. (power + Home) Power + volume and so on..the whole thing

Charge the tablet to 100%. Use the wall charger. If you have a touchstone, you can use that too.
You might have to leave it charging for 24 + hours.
Once charged, hold power and volume up buttons together till you get the screen with the usb symbol. Once you have that, follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1426244
That step failed as well.

Hello guys,
I need a help, to save my precious Nexus One...
Until yesterday, it was working perfectly, but earlier today, did not work more...
When connecting the charger cable, the green light turns on only if I press the back cover of the nexus!
I've tried turning it by all means: take and put the battery, press the volume button down, press the ball vol (-) + power button. dont work!
I used the USB cable to the computer, and does not work ..
Is completely dead, the only light he shows, is that I quoted above, loading ..
ps: it is rooted

I'm not sure but i guess your battery might have drained fully.
Try charging it for a while (10-15 min), you should see the orange color charging indication.
Or if battery is already charged, .. you can try getting into bootloader mode by pressing the "power + volume down + track ball button".
If you get here.. then only something can be done.
your powr button is damage. plug ur mobile with data cable, when u see the charging light, pull out your battery and then again pull in.
you can up new rom
Hello. I have this problem and haven't find anything similar online.
Every single time I turn off and turn on the Dell Streak 7 it starts as if it was a new device (asking for language, Gmail account, wifi, etc).
I tried the hard reset (vol+ and ON button to get to the android menu before booting), but it didn't solve the problem.
All this happened after I gave the tablet away, and a few days later battery discharged. They plugged it in to charge, but nothing. I told them to use a wire to push the RESET button on the side of the tablet (that fixed before the NOT TURNING ON problem that sometimes affect the tablet where it charges but won't turn ON, when I used it for a few months) but tablet didn't turn ON.
Then we guessed that the cable was bad. They got a new cable, tablet charged, turned ON to like new. They set it up with Gmail and all, then turned it OFF, back ON and it was like new AGAIN.... now it keeps doing the same thing after every reboot.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It sounds like you are in the infamous Read-Only state that can only be fixed with Dells magic which they wont tell us.
