Hi,
I've started to have a problem with my WP7 HD7 about a week ago. When I try to start the camera it flashes up so I see the controls for a second then they disappear, this happens using the camera icon and the button on the side. I was running the NoDo update when it first happen, then I upgraded to the Mango beta and I was able to access the camera, but now the problem has occurred again. Last night I reset the phone, wiping all the apps and settings but it still happened upon first boot. I also left the battery out over night and rebooted it several times today with no success. Any ideas?
Fixed it!
I ended up taking it apart and found that the camera module was loose, turns out its a common problem. Works now

I'm not sure if it a freezing problem or it just won't accept any input
Basically after my Kaiser has been on charge overnight I will get around to using it and can't. What will happen is the screen & buttons will not work, although they can be used for a split second every 3 seconds.
After a reset everything is back to normal, so I'm not sure what the problem is, I don't have a lot of programs installed and only 1 has been install in the past month which is A2DP Today Toggle, so far I've un-installed it and left it again but I still have the problem.
Thanks for any help
I have a similar problem. In the morning i have to soft rest the phone for it to work. Issues started after 6.5 upgrade. There must a solution somewhere in here..........
Does a hard reset fix the problem? Does this happen with every ROM you've tried?
I have only stuck with the official rom, I bought it on 6.0 and then updated to 6.1 after it's release. A hard reset does fix it but some time after it will return, bear in mind this has never done it previously just about a month ago.
I guess it might be a issue with some program that is being installed
Hi Guys,
I have been running the Cyanogen 4.2.15.1 rom for some time with no problem. Recently I updated my radio to the 2.22.23.02 and it significantly improved my 3G signal, that siad the problem has occured before I made this update but no as often.
When I settled on a theme I wiped the phone, re-installed cyanogen then wiped and installed the theme(Darkstar 1.07R2), since then the phone has been freezing randomly, yesterday I pressed the menu button and the call lights came on but the screen stayed blank, I waited for 30 secs or so but nothing so I did a battery pull and rebooted. It took a while after it booted before I was able to do anything but back to normal again.
Then a few hours later I went to make a call and this time the screen came on but was black with a line just right of centre again a battery pull and all is well.
Since then everything has been ok, anyone else having these issues have search but cannot find anything.
Thanks In Advance
The update came thru on my Hd7 3 days ago. All's well it seems, but the camera won't start. Tried rebooting a few times, still the same. Anybody else had this? + I can't see what this update has done..
i have the same problem man it just stop but before the update so i think its software problem
i have the same problem how i fix this?
Wait... Update? Like an official tmobile update?
Its got nothing to do with the rom or any update and software , i had the same problem n i did a lot of tests on the software but no luck !
then i opened the top back cover of the hd7 , removed battery , open top 6 screws , (no need to open the bottom cover and 2 screws with void label ) , gently remove the plastic cover , you will see the camera module there push it down to the board and youll hear a click , ITS OK NOW
Same issue after the upgrade
i also had the same issue with the camera after installing the update.
up to that moment, all was working fine.
in an attempt to fix this, i performed a few rests through the Settings->About->Phone reset. after each reset, it seemed to be working for a few moments, but then, after a while, it stopped again.
called HTC and they could not help me other than saying to reset the phone.
i did find that a hardware reset using the buttons is performing a different level of a rest and for now, it seems to solve the problem. (power off, Power on with vol up and down pressed).
as others on the thread experienced, i do blame the software update.
My buddy just got this phone, and whenever he tries to use the camera, the phone reboots.
We tried resetting the phone a couple times with no avail.
any ideas?
EDIT: the camera worked at first, but now it wont.
Well if you did a full software restore I would tend to believe it is hardware related and would suggest returning the phone considering I have not one issue with it and I have used it on and off since release date with no rebooting issue's.
When turning on Bluetooth the toggle slides over for 10 seconds or so (still greyed out) before sliding back to off (the Bluetooth never actually comes on). It started yesterday out of the blue. At the time it started, I was running 6.0.0 (MRA58K) and had been for several weeks without an issue. Reboots don't fix it. Safe mode doesn't fix it. Wipe Bluetooth cache/data doesn't fix it. As part of my attempts to get it working, I upgraded to MRA58N. Then a round of trying all the above stuff all over again. Still no go.
I attached a log of an attempt to enable Bluetooth (trimmed). I waited until 0149 before I hit the toggle to turn it on and the log is from that point on. The point I see the obvious failure is 01:49:18.131 with the error message "Error enabling Bluetooth (enable timeout)" but I can't make enough out from the rest of the log to figure out why it's timing out.
Experiencing same issue on my Nexus 6. Worked fine for several days after upgrading to MRA58K. Then it quit. Same BT toggle symptom you described. Just did the OTA to MRA58N this morning. Tried reboot/safe mode/wiping BT cache and data. Still no workie.
I know none of this is really very helpful to you, but just wanted you to know you aren't the only one with this problem.
I ended up having to do a full wipe and re-install to fix it.
I'm having the same problem for weeks.
I tried for days to straighten it out. Uninstalled apps one by one and rebooted until I'd uninstalled everything, dug through logs, and did everything I could think of and nothing works. The silver lining was that wiping it and re-installing fixed it so it wasn't a problem with the hardware. I don't know if it was a bug or a glitch but I couldn't resolve it without a reinstall. Been over two weeks and I haven't had a problem since.
I had a similar problem, except Bluetooth wouldn't connect nor would it connect to anything. Toggle would act as though it turned off or connected, but 20-30 sec later, it'd go back to on and disconnected. A simple reboot fixed it for me, and this was on Lollipop a few months ago.
