I don't think I need this but someone else might. I am sure this battery will last a week or more.

it...looks....HUGE
Ouch! at the price too.
Very nice, I bet it's not EMO/Skater compatible... just thinking about trousers,
so technically speaking this should give you 3 times battery on average use?
any one willing to guinea pig this thing?
I think I may have a problem getting my back cover over that...
chunky! ... may well get hold of one before next year's camping ....
LOL, that thing is massive.....I'm sure it'll be quite solid....wonder if it would help reduce flexing of the phone LOL
I hope that has a better slider mechanism than the original streak back cover connection, other wise everytime you place the streak the wrong way in your pocket the weight of the battery and gravity will make it slide out.

so.. 3x batterylife = 1 and 1/2 days?
Lol, i get that off the stock battery! I'm guessing you'd get 3-4 days out of a battery that size.

You should be cautious! The battery may damage your device as I once had a very bad experience...

I think Mugen is the good battery brand name, but if anyone review it, will good done

I have the Mugen battery in my HTC Shift .. It has been over a year now. The battery drains faster, but still holds a charge twice, if not longer than the original battery.
The company is GREAT to do business with .. I broke the clip on the extended battery cover I got with the extended battery and they sold me another for just a couple of dollars.
I have recently ordered the Mugen for my Streak. They are out of stock but I think they begin shipping in just a few days. I have NO DOUBT AT ALL that the battery will be great .. I will let you know ..
*** I would pre-order one if you are thinking of getting one .. who knows how many people are waiting for them to be in stock before ordering - they could run out before they finish with pre-orders ?? Ya think ?? All I know is I want one .. I am getting one .. and I know it will triple the life of my battery .. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT ...
My one and only concern is .. What will I do about a case .. I have the Otterbox now and the one that I got at Dell, but I don't think they will fit the extended battery. I am thinking about getting a neoprene case .. it will stretch and fit ..
Holy christ.
My Streak is big enough as it is, there's no way that thing would fit in my pocket
and $129.95? Seriously? No offence, but you've gotta have more money than sense to buy that...
EDIT: Let me put that another way: 4 of these batteries would be worth more than your Streak... You've got to be a complete idiot to buy one of these...
Yesterday I got a message that my battery has been shipped. I figure at least a week getting here - I will let you all know how it works or if it destroyed my Streak .. I have MUCH confidence in Mugen ..
I was considering buying this battery. I have an extra amzer case which I was gonna modify to fit the back door. You think this can be done?

Has anyone seen this one?

1800mah compared to the stock 1530mah. Seems like it's the same dimensions. Might have call and check it out.

I bought one of those a couple of weeks ago to use as a backup battery. It was posted out a few days ago so I'll let you know once I get it.

Definitely. As long as its the same dimensions, I'll grab one. I think I got stuck with a faulty battery. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get more than a days use out of mine.
Anyone know if there's a carrying case similar to the snap in case (like for the original Droid & X) that will accommodate an extended battery? I've hunted VZW's site & e-bay but haven't found any except the pouch style.

Which battery are you using? I am using the Verizon Extended Battery and I bought this case (P/N VZW6300HOC) Won't let me post links yet. I used tin snips to cut out around the extended cover.
It's a Verizon extended battery, I got it & the back with my inc when they sent it as a replacement for my P. O. S. Devour.

Yeah they did the same for me. This is the best option I have seen so far.

I am using the 2150 battery and I just cut out the back of a rubber case. Works great and looks good.
I just looked at mine & its the 2150, I noticed another thread about modding a case to fit over the extended back & am going to try that. If it don't work I'm out, what, $20? It's worth a shot, I post pics if I can get the X style clip & case nodded to fit.

Not sure if its the same size but Sedio makes an extended case for the 3500mah. They don't sell it without the battery on their site, but if you email them asking about it they will offer the back piece standalone
The 3500 is thicker. Even if it fits, you're gaining the extra thickness of the 3500 case so you may as well get the 3500 battery, too.

Are you talking about the actual back cover to the battery, or an actual protective case that fits "over" the back cover?
Just went into my local Best Buy today. What did they just in..........Seidio Innocase II! $25. And to make life even better......1750mah battery! $40. The packaging says Platinum products something, but when you look on the bottom it says Seidio.
Getting the case was a no brainer. I had their cheap Rocketfish hard case and it's falling apart after a month and a half. The battery I'm still unsure about since some people say it makes a huge difference, some say it is no improvement. But thats for another thread
Hi all, could I please get some recommendations for the best extended batteries for my N1, I'm thinking about getting one. Cheers!

Seidio is always a decent brand.
As evilkorn mentioned, Seidio is probably the only main brand I have seen mentioned. Here is a link to their battery...
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bacy32hnx1-bk.htm
However, in case you didn't know, there are no extended batteries that will fit inside the stock battery compartment (at least, none worth really mentioning), so this battery comes with a replacement back cover that expands the whole length of the phone to accommodate the increased thickness of this battery.
That's brilliant, thanks for your help guys, I look into it. I'm getting more than a full days use at the moment, so I may leave it for now. Thanks again for the replies.

Hiya, I just purchased the 3600 mAh Mugen Power extended battery and the case it came with doesn't seem to have an antenna built into it. Would it be possible to fix on a thin strip of metal to the case and have it touch the connectors on the phone? If so, which metal would give the best reception or are the antennas more complex than just a line of wire? Thanks for any info!
mugen power accessories are really bad quality... i would buy it. if you do it yourself you can damage yourbdevice by short circuit...

Nice fail from mugen. No more calls with extended battery. Airplane mode will extend battery life even more
I think you should claim for a refund. According to your description their product is useless.
Thought Mugen was a high end battery supplier, but this is really an unacceptable major fail.
Thanks for sharing.

Hmm I need to rectify this mistake. Sorry it took so long for me to reply. After the initial few days of no responses I stopped monitoring this thread. I was at the beach when my roommate let me know the package had arrived. I asked him to open it and that's the conclusion he gave me when I asked. In the photos on the website you can't tell exactly so out of frantic worry and to find a solution I posted on here via my phone.
The truth is it's a pretty damn good battery. There is an antenna in the back cover and I'm not really sure why my friend thought there wasn't. Reception seems to be the same even though the antenna is bigger? Or maybe its around the same size if the stock back cover has it hidden in the plastic. The Mugen Power back case covers it with black tape. That aside, the cover feels fairly sturdy, though it could be improved a bit. Maybe some self modification would resolve that issue. It makes a bit more noise when you squeeze it than the stock cover but it doesn't feel like its going to come off or fracture.
As for the battery it seems to last me on average 40 hours before I feel the need to charge it. I'd say it isn't used heavily, more like my old phone where I just sent texts all day, called a few people and listened to music for a good number of hours. The longest I've had it go was 57 hours after letting it completely die. All in all I am quite satisfied aside from a few minor complaints about the case.
Once again I apologize about this, I jumped the gun. Also, the website I purchased it from http://www.pdaphone-battery.com will deliver if you order from them. I was worried it was a scam site since it looks extremely ghetto and no confirmation email or tracking number was sent to me after purchase. But as I said the shipping was speedy and they did send me what I ordered. They don't use https though which bugged me, however the paying part used PayPal so that was acceptable.
One more picture for better reference. I'll post a comparison picture of stock vs extended batter cover sizes if people are interested.
@Flappyraccoon
can we see inside the back cover/door...part of the signal ...TQ
You mean the bare antenna under the tape? Sure, I'll try to get pics up later today for ya.
Sorry but looks like a brick. What´s the weight of it now? Hope you´re satisfied.
I only pulled it back far enough so you could see what the antenna was made out of. Hope that is enough for ya. As for the second picture, when you look at it and feel with your fingers the antenna (I'm assuming its made from the same thin metal) is laid out in the path of the red line. It ends at the yellow line.
As for the phone brick, its not much heavier at least in my opinion. It also fits into my hand and doesn't wiggle around as much. This is because it fills in the gap between my hand and the phone. For me that is wonderful, maybe not for you .
Thats great news!
But I'm more excited about another battery - HLI-DesireZSL. It is originaly made for Desire Z, but MUGEN guys say its perfect in IS! It has 1800mAh, but use the standart HTC cover.
yoobau brand is another great battery ! but not come with higher mAH yet !

OMG is that a brick or the incS, how the hell do you use that!
It's not bad, and the 50+ hour battery life makes it worth it. Plus, that was before root and s-off . Now with an undervolted kernel and a debloated rom I'm hoping its a lot more ^_^.

Same place, Mugen has a slim 1900mAh
I have it in my DInc2 and it last much longer than the OE one
Thanks, I'll look into it.

Been using the 3600 Mugen for almost 3 weeks. I agree with Flappyraccoon that the phone fits into my hand better and feels less flimsy. I've dropped it less and reception difference is unnoticeable, but I live in a decent service region.
But the thin stock case does give me the appearance of having more sleek technology, and there's nothing like a dying battery at the end of one day's use for an excuse to stop talking with my girlfriend :$
I get about the same time out of it as Flappyraccoon. So much more comfortable using my phone whenever I want without worrying about later that evening. Easy to do a daily top up still but at my convenience, not the phone's urgency!

i dont like the extended battery it means that you will not be able to use protection case
I have my own solution...
just cut the back to fit the phone
haha xD
I went on amazon and found an extended battery for the lg thrill...its made by Hyperion and its a 3500 mah. I love this battery...I've had it on for 12 hours and have 63% left and that was using the phone a lot. I advise everyone who has a thrill to pick one up its only 17.99 and it cone with a back cover. The back cover isn't cheesy its the same rubbery material as the stock back cover. Only problem is it does add decent bulk to the phone but its well worth it....Idk about you guys but I'm tired of charging my phone 3 times a day.

Hey hegemytouch,
How's that battery holding up? I'm thinking about getting one, but I've heard stories that they only have the long charge for a little while and quickly lose capacity over a few charges (probably bc they've been sitting in a warehouse for a long time and just lost their capacity from that). I want to get an idea of how the Hyperion battery holds up. Thanks for the update.
The battery was pretty decent. The first charge you have to charge it for 12 hours...that lasted forever LOL..the battery life did.drop a little couple of charges in but still was worth it. Lasted all day with heavy use.

I ordered the 3500 mAh battery recently. I cannot wait until I receive it. My biggest gripe about this phone has been its battery life, but now that won't be an issue. Thanks for the excellent post.
Now I made this order fairly late and overlooked the fact that the battery is thicker than stock. Does the new battery come with a new back plate, or will I have to order that separately? Also are there some good protective cases for this phone available when using the thicker battery? I know my current one will no longer suffice.

Most of them come with the backplate.

It certainly does turn it into a brick, but for me the additional battery life makes it all worth it. I emailed Hyperion asking if there is a case for it. I am awaiting a response.

I have thought about getting an extended battery but like other people have said I dont think I would how bulky it makes it. If someone does make a case for it I will definitely try it. I get decent battery life right now. I am a heavy user of my phone and it will last me all day and night with no issues.
I have received my 3500mAh battery with a case to fit around the battery and I must say that it's NOT as bulky as people make it seem to be.

Do you mean the backplate to the phone or a protective case for the phone? If you found a protective case for the phone when using this battery please send me a link. I really need one since I have had my drops over the years with my phones, and I don't want to crack the screen. There's too much work involved in replacing them.
