Currently the only way you will be able to gain S-OFF and root your phone is to use the XTC Clip hardware device. All of the current software solutions will not work with GB 2.3.3 at this time.

My phone is already S-off via XTC Clip
I need now only root method ?

if it's already s-off, flash clockworkmod recovery first. then from cwm u can flash roms.
flashing roms dont need root.

Ok thanks

[Q] froyo root?

Hi there,
just tried to root my legend, but nothing worked out for me.
i can't downgrade my rom to 1.31, to root it.
i got the HBOOT 1.00.0000,
android 2.2 build 3.14.161.1
and kernel 2.6.32.17
with the unlockr tut (http://theunlockr.com/2010/06/07/how-to-root-the-htc-legend/) i get the error:
FAILED (remote 43: main version check fail)
and with the HOWTO downgrade tut (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=725430) i always get the
c---rw---- line in my terminal.
is is because i already got the froyo rom on my legend?
or is it the bootloader version?
i got no idea why it doesn't work.
plz anyone can help me?
thanks very much!
I also would like to know how to root a froyo htc legend!

[Q] Identification needed...

By the way, if you are wondering why I ask this, this version was downloaded by Samsung service centre and we are able to access CWN from boot hence I am abit lost as I remember we are only able to access cwn once you root the device.
No one can help on this?
It says its rooted, but you need to download Superuser app so titanium can get root permissions.
Don't forget this is a world forum and sometimes we are in different time zones.
Thanks alot. Yeah, I understand, but it is due to this that we are able to share our experiences and expertise across the globe

I need to know everything to NOT brick my phone

Hey guys, so a friend of mine just gave me this Xperia X8 (E15a) and Ive looked up some stuff I need to know before unlocking the bootloader in order to flash a different ROM.
So I am interested in this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486 (GingerDX).
I would like to install it?
What steps should I follow? Where is the best tutorial?
By the way, will I able to do this without bricking my device?

11W06 i think its okay to unlock
You are safe to unlock your bootlader But is optional for gingerdx as you can install without doing it, you only have to flash the one that tells for stock kernel

[Solved] I need some help for Rooting my Z3C

Hello all
I have tried with lots of methods but withoput success, even with KingRoot but nothing came out.
I found this intresting topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...0-1-5-77-debloated-deodexed-zipalign-t3015281
But I prefer to stay away form flashing devices
Is there a way to Root (and maybe unroot, but rooting is more important) my device?

HTC M8 HK on sprint bootloop after fix permisions in TWRP

Hello all i have a M8 HK edition on lollipop from the us on sprint. ( i am in Europe)
I was trying to get sim unlock and i got as far as installing the TWRP on it after unlocking the boot-loader.
i was in the stage to install the super user zip with the help of TWRP but somehow i manage to hit the fix permission button in there.
I tried all the simple way out there wipe-ing all the caches / factory resetting but nothing no goo.
I want to put the original firmware on the phone but i really need some help to lock the boot-loader and to do that i need to S-OFF as i am S-ON now.
and if you can point the right firmware or recovery image for this phone it wold be fantastic.
Any info you need just ask and (tell we how to get it, if its complicated)
