Milestone Bootloader 90.74 Corrupt Code - Motorola Droid and Milestone General

Hey Guys,
I have a stock Milestone from Telus, it's unlocked and running the Telus 2.2 ROM. I was using facebook and my phone was lagging terribly so I decided to reboot the phone. When I went to turn it back on, I got the Bootloader 90.74 Corrupt Code error. Last time I got any bootloader error was when it was rooted almost a year ago (returned to stock). Is there anything I can do to get my system back? I had it all nicely configured and I had a bunch of txts I didn't backup (really want these). I didn't do anything to cause this! Is it possible to image the phone, factory reset it, push the texts back? Help!
Thanks in advance,
Jon

You can try flashing the bootloader again from here, either 90.74 or 90.78. If you choose to upgrade to 90.78, dont go back to 90.74.

[Q] Updated to JM8 and can't remove NETLOCK

I just flashed my SGS to JM8 through KIES from JF5.
It was very strange. The first few times it kept giving an error that got me sweating and said I needed to restore my FW. Still, nothing happened, there was no option to do it.
After the last time it did I told myself, "Last time trying and then go to ODIN!".
When I pressed update again the phone said "Can't update, need to restore ROM". So I did. After restoring my ROM was JM8 and all my data was still on the phone!
I was really happy, given that I've read that all my settings and data would be cleaned out!
Still, now comes the problem! I wanted to release the NETLOCK from my SGS and the software asks me if I have an SNS and doesn't give me any codes!!!
How can I get my codes now??
Thanks for your help!
Have you already tried to restore your bachup of /efs?
My Help was to delete the nav Files then reboot and my IMEI was back again..
The most recent firmwares just erase the unlock codes from nv_data.bin and from nv_data.bak.. You should have unlocked it before the upgrade.. Now the codes aren't on the phone anymore, so, there is no known method of obtain the codes from you phone.
Now the only way is to purchase the codes, from TMN (or not)...
Hi there, I have the same problem....
JM8 firmware and unlock applications not working.
I bought a code from cellunlocker.net but it doesnt work and now I am waiting for their assistance (another code?)
Do you now a site which we can buy a working code for unlocking a jm8 from TMN? But one that works....
help!

[Q] Phone cycle before bootloader?!

Hi all,
My collegue comes up this morning with his phone which is no more booting.
I'm used with the custom roms stuff and updating using odin and had already saw many posts about Internal SD failure. However the behaviour of his phone is really not as what i red before.
His phone is alway cycling like if the power button were stock, but it is not. Just shows I-9000M then reboot (no "S" or other stuff)
If I try to access recovery mode, it start cycling. If I go to download mode, it works (and not cycles).
So I've used Odin to install Stock Bell JL2 rom (and update the bootloader). It changed nothing.
Also tried to roll back JH2, with pit 512 and repartition, update bootloader. changed nothing!
then re-up JL2... changed nothing!
So he is leading to Bell service center now... but have you ever seen that?
Thanks!
Hey, im stuck with the EXACT same problem. Ive tried everything too. unfortunetly, i don;t have a receipt, so i can't go to bell
Still searching and asking... just hoping. lol.

Is unlocking permanent?

I used helrose galaxy s unlock my captivate. Everything is working fine, Im using t-mobile.
I never ented the code, the program I guess altered the files system to make the phone think it was unlocked......I think
I deleted the ESF folder by accident and I would like to know , would I ever be prompted to enter an unlock code again, and if so I dont think I will be able to get it because I no longer have the original esf folder. You get it? IF I ran the galaxy s unlock again it wouldnt find the code
Is this how it works?
I was on 2.2 when I unlocked and I flashed to stock and it didnt prompt me for an unlock code and the unlock remained. Flashed back to 2.2 and flash is still their
It's permanent.

[Q] Atrix HD: T-Mobile SIM Not Allowed On Network [SOLVED]

I'm pulling my hair out trying to get my Atrix HD to recognize a new T-Mobile SIM card. Here's where I've been and where I'm at now:
- Purchased AT&T Atrix HD MB886 on ebay preloaded with fresh install of CyanogenMod 10.2 Nightly build from 9/28/13
- Inserted new T-Mobile SIM card, not prompted for unlock code... Hmmm
- Attempted to register on T-Mobile network, received error message "Your SIM card doesn't allow a connection to this network"
- Attempted again with second new SIM card, same result (both SIMs work in another phone)
- Upgraded to new CyanogenMod M1 build from 11/2, same result
- Performed TWRP/CWM-based recovery>wipe data/factory reset..., same result, though now it shows on the lock screen "SIM/RUIM IS PERSO LOCKED" (may have been there before, but I don't remember seeing it)
I doubt if the phone is carrier unlocked, so I expected the prompt for an unlock code. In researching I found several people for whom the factory reset worked (even prescribed by Motorola support) to solve this when a new network SIM was used, but sadly not for me. What should I try next? Thanks.
Go back to stock with RSDlite Ok
I imagine you are bootloader unlocked and rooted.
Once on stock insert the new sim card and unlock it inserting the code into the prompt.
Once unlocked the rest is history. Just root the phone again as is very probable that you will loose root.
Then flash the ROM you want and happy testing....

seems good to me too...Search RSDlite as he said...get stock flashed up..and see if it asks for a code or not!!

Thanks. I was afraid I would need to go back to stock. Not that big a deal at this early point with the phone. I'm flashing the image now. It's been going for over an hour. How long should this process take?

An hour seems far too long. It's been a while since I flashed a stock rom but I don't recall it taking more than 10 minutes,

That's what I thought. So I powered off the phone, RSDlite said it failed. Now the phone boots directly to fastboot.on a short press of the power button, with the reason stated as "failed flash". It had hung.on 18/23 flash system "system.img. I'm re-flashing now, but after 60 minutes it's still hanging up at the same place.
I'm following the posted RSD Lite guide from last April very carefully. However it does mention that you can not downgrade from JB to ICS, I'm not doing that, but I am going from 4.2.2 (Cyanogen 10.2) to the 4.1.1 JB stock. Hope that's not a problem. I'll try again at work today with a fresh copy of everything and differnt PC. Thanks for the help.
Make sure you reboot to a new fastboot mode with no errors

All Is Well!
The re-flashing on a different PC worked quickly and correctly. :good: I'm back to stock JB, and was correctly prompted to unlock the phone when I inserted the T-Mobile SIM. It also kept the bootloader unlocked (as the Motorola Warning informed me). Now on to the mods. Thanks to you all for the assistance and advice. You're great!
Good to know help came along and glad to see you back at testing. Lol

Once the bootloader has been unlocked, it cannot be relocked. After you enter the network unlock code, it's permanently unlocked. Sounds to me like the phone is now fully and permanently carrier and bootloader unlocked.
I'm back in business now. AT&T sent me the unlock code in just 12 hours (had my fingers crossed), I unlocked, and T-Mobile was setup automatically. Re-rooted, Reflashed ClockworkMod Recovery, then Cyanogenmod 10.2 M1. It hung in a boot-loop the first time, so I erased all caches and did a data wipe/factory reset, and the second CM flash worked fine. Learned a lot in this whole episode. Thanks.
happy ATRIX !!
Motorola Atrix HD with ProBAM ROM rocks!!

Phone got carrier locked after downgrading to 5.1.1 and restoring EFS.

Hello everyone.
I ran into a problem couple of days ago. I was on a custom rom running 6.0.1 which was running perfect since 8 months now. But all of a sudden my IMEI went null. So since i made a backup when i bought the phone. I used odin to go back to 5.1.1 and restored my EFS partition and every other thing. Everything went smoothly and my IMEI was back but now the phone is carrier locked and asking me to put unlock code and even the T-mobile unlock app doesn't seem to work. I've tried changing ROMS, Kernels and stuff to be no avail.
What could be the problem behind it?
If anyone is willing to help me fix the problem or Remote unlock it for free i'd be mostly grateful to you since i wont get my Salary up until 7th of October.
