[Q] Bug on mediaplayer when use earphone - LG Optimus Black

I found the following trouble: when I use my earphone in car / scooter and exceed the speed of about 80km/h, suddenly mediaplayer turns on. I can talk to phone, I can listen radio or I can have all turn off when mediaplayer turns on and breaks any other process. I have this bug on firm 10a as on firm 10c, and tested it on 2 lg. I tried to do an hard reset but same result. At the moment I solved this bored bug by killing process mediaplayer otherwise switching off GPS. I suppose there is a conflict between GPS and mediaplayer using earphone.

Switch between two bluetooth headsets nearly impossible

Hi,
i have a XDA IIi (HTC Alpine) with 2003SE and Broadcomm Stack Ver. 1.0.0.3900
i use two handsfree devices
- Headphone Bluespoon AX
- Bluetooth Radio Connection (Becker)
it is nearly impossible to get it working together automatically.
I want to switch between the devices (if in car, use becker, elsewhere use Bluespoon)
Sometimes it's working sometimes not. I have tried to write a mortscript app to force the change, not working constantly......
Trying to switch bluetooth on and off, not working constantly....
Softreset, only way to get constantly results.
So is this by design or are there any "patching, tweaking" possibilities....?
Best regards
mamema

built in mic sporadically stops working

have searched the forums and found a number of similar issues, but nothing seems to match my symptoms. So I am stumped on what to do.
I have a very annoying problem where the built in microphone stops working every now and then. This is not a low volume or bad sound quality problem - it is a no volume problem. It almost seems that the microphone has been muted or disabled.
I have also been unable to devise a guaranteed fix - a soft reset often returns the mic to active duty, but sometimes multiple soft resets combined with turning off the phone are required.
I have not been able to reproduce a single scenario that reliably causes the problem to occur, bujt it only seems to happen if the phone is enabled. I can always get it to occur within about 15 minutes of fiddling. I never know when i answer the phone if the other person will be able to hear me. I use the kaiser mostly as a pda & bluetooth MP3 player, but am now trying to use the phone occassionally and so it has now become a very BIG issue.
I did some isolated testing over the last few days and have had each of the following cause the problem
1) enabled the phone (sounds real suspect)
2) power save mode kicked in on idle
3) turned kaiser off & then on again
4) enabled bluetooth while the phone was enabled (but did not have any bluetooth devices defined yet - also suspicious)
but none of these reliably cause the problem.
I have been testing the mic by using standard Notes program and making a voice recording - i use the stylus to tap on the bottom of the case - so there is no confusion about back ground noise.
Have ruled out the following:
a) hand covering mic hole
b) blue tooth headset causing confusion - i delete blue tooth device Sony BT21G and disabled bluetooth - still get random failures
c) microphone AGC - has been disabled
The only extra software i have installed in tomtom navigator 6 & i use windows mobile to play music over bluetooth headphones. So I do not think it is related to third party apps.
This seems to be caused by a software incompatibilty issue where the phone is causing the the mic to be turned off.
htc tytn II kaiser 120
rom 1.82.72.1.0 wwe
rom date 11/12/07
radio 1.27.15.32
protocol 22.51.88.13H
wm 6 professional ce os 5.2.1620 build 18125.0.4.2
This is a grey market device I am using on Rogers so I have no warranty support here in Canada.
A potential alternative was to always use the sony BT21G headset since it has a microphone, but it does not appear that the kasier will use the sony's microphone, only the built in one. I reliably get sound only over the headset when using the phone. The BT21G provides Wireless Stereo & Hands Free. I have not fully investigated using different combos of these to see if i can get the BT21G microphone to work.
The only remaining solution i see is upgrading to wm6.1, but going to the htc website http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=13&cat=2&dl_id=21 and entering my serial number indicates Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.

A2DP Bluetooth Audio interrupts

Hi Guys,
i have this problem for a long time and didn't find anything about it in web or in xda forums.
I have a HTC Dream + HBH-IS 800 Sony Ericsson Headset.
When i listen to music via A2DP the connection is not very stable...
the connection interrupts very often for about 2 or 3 seconds, then works for about 3 seconds.
This only happens when i am outside, not in buildings. I this the reason is because of interferences. The connection gets better when i move the G1 into a specific orientation (upper side up) and don't turn my head to the right
On my old Windows mobile phone i played around with bitpool (=ratio between quality and connection stability by constant bitrate) settings... is there a possibility to get the connection more stable, when playing around with this setting?!
How can this setting be changed on android?
Further information:
-ROM Cyanogen 4.2.5 but same problem on stock ROM
-HTC Dream has been replaced one by a new device -> same problem
-Headset was never exchanged, but worked perfectly on my old Touch Pro with WM 6.1
Thanks for your help
There is a known issue on the Bluetooth stack and is suppose to be fixed in the Elclair 2.0 fix, the temporary work around is to first pair and connect then disconnect and reconnect it again i'm having to do that several times a day when i use my RocketFish bluetooth stereo headset. Hope that helps
thanks for this workaround, will try it tomorrow and will post if it works for me too
hmm, didnt really work for me... no change after pairing disconnecting and connecting again.
i wonder why this only happens outside, not in buildings... another frequencys which interferences maybe?!
Be sure to disable wifi.
Not trying to hi-jack your thread. If you want me to open another i will. However this is a BT question as well.
my G1 is set to connect to my stereo in my car. Pioneer BT head unit. I find that i have to manually tell it to connect every time i get in the car. When i had a blackberry before it would just connect every time on its own without me doing anything once i made the initial connection.
Any ideas?
thanks.

Worked on Dell Streak A1.6
I have Dell BH200 headset as well, and I have the same exact problem its like the audio stutters but when I first connect it its more stutter than music so you can barely even understand the music until after 30secs when it starts to normal out.
ATM im runnning Stock 1.6 for G1, im going to try Cyanogenmod 6.0 tomorrow and see if anything changes.
but everyday I go back and forth with my laptop and phone since my headphones run for atleast 3-4 days.
wow, finally someone having the same problem.
and even the same description of the connection issues.
I recently bought a orange SanFran and, as the device is fairly cheap, a nokia bh-504 along with it.
The connection isnt stable even when I put it in my breast pocket.
As soon as I move my head to the right, the streaming stops. Completely.
I can easily stop the music when holding my hand in front of the right earpiece.
so i will try the disconnect / connect again "workaround", but I don't think that will help.
I paired the same headset with my gf's netbook and I could walk through the whole apartment and the signal was stable even through up to 4 walls.
so no one here knows how to tweak BT settings in android?

Weird problem with speakers and mic

I have a problem with my unrooted Xperia Z with a locked bootloader. My main speaker does not work for any media like music games or videos, but works fine for loudspeaker calls. Also the earpiece speaker doesnt work at all. Another problem i found was that my microphone would not work at all unless it was in a call and i was using loudspeaker. The final problem is that when ever i plug in my earphones, google now pops up and sometimes my phone starts playing music automatically throught the earphones, when i remove the earphones, instea of stopping the music continues but the speakers dont work so it just keeps playing them silently. If anyone knows the soultion to this, please respond as ive searched everywhere and i have not found one solution yet.
UPDATE: i used the application soundabout to reroute the audio and the calls are now fine, the only problem is that when i plug in my earphones the google now problem persists. If i plug in earphones with a mic, i dont get any of these problems and everytime i want to use my internal speaker for media, i have to manually re-route the audio to them. Anybody know a solution to these 2 problems?
I do have the exact same problem, I tried different ROMs and Audio Mods (at the moment I've got a stock ROM) without any change.
Did you somehow fix it?
Exact same problem, i run stock android 5.1.1 build 10.7.A.0.222 locked boot loader. Problem suddenly came up last week during vacation, quite some time after I did OTA upgrade to 5.1.1 - so this is not related to ROM updates.
After installing soundabout (thanks for the hint) the rerouting did not work immediately - i had to set phone to earpiece and media to speaker in the app and reboot for it have an effect.
I think the root cause is, the phone thinks there are headphones connected, when there really aren't. If I use the UKW radio app, it starts and shows headphones as output-icon right away - it should actually complain that there is no reception without phones because the antenna (headphone cable) is missing. Since it doesn't complain I guess that's the culprit.
Any hints how to fix that, without using a rerouting app? (kinda stupid, using bluetooth speakers and so on now needs a manual setting change in soundabout).
I have that phone for more than 2 years now and used headphones maybe twice with it, so a busted headphone-jack is out of the question too.
Guys give it a try.
Thanks Ess Arr, that really works!

Google Home Mini + BT speaker = stuttering music

I encountered stutter when broadcasting music from GHM to my BT speaker. It's like buffering every second. With the Internet connection everything is ok. The router is located near the GHM. When connecting via BT to the phone or through AUX with any other source, my Marshall Acton plays music without any problems. The problem occurs only when the music is broadcast from the GH Mini. It started a couple of days ago. Up to this point, there were no problems for a week. It happens randomly, it can play an hour without stammering, and then start, or vice versa. The GHM itself plays without problems. Tried TuneIn and Google Music. I also tried to reset GHM.
CC Audio has no Bluetooth
Has anyone encountered this problem?
The same thing has been happening for me as well. It only occurs when playing to a Bluetooth speaker. Playback via the Google Home Mini speaker itself is fine and it is right next to the wifi router.
What firmware are you on? Mine are on 1.32.118652. I think it's a preview firmware so it may be a bug in the firmware as nothing I do has made it any better and it was working fine before and has only started over the last few weeks.

The same version. Do you remember what version was before the problems started?
Created a topic in Google support - https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/googlehome/e694YsvR9M8
Another person with the same problem - https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/googlehome/wqB5eG1bwaI
I bought the Home Mini yesterday and found the same problem. Any update about it?
Same
Same here. Stuttering music. Thought I was the only one and there was something wrong with my BT speaker. Stuttering music. FW 1.32.118652
Managed to get it working by unpairing and forgetting, and re-pairing. Now it happens every time my BT speaker goes into sleep mode.
More irritating is that when this happens the Google Home Mini defaults back to its own speaker instead of trying to reconnect.
This is firmware basics. Let's hope they iron this out.
My BT speaker will start to studder with about 25% battery left now or when it's actually plugged in. Fresh charge will run fine.
I'm having this issue too. I'm at the latest update at the time and using Harman Kardon Aura speaker
I'm having the same issue on GHM in 2022, using an Anker Soundcore Flare 2. Seems like Google has not fixed this issue. Does anyone know if Google Nest Mini has the same issue too?
