Use PC companion or SUES to restore the original firmware back then re-root your phone and install your chosen ROM and boom you're back.

After re-rooting your phone you can once again install GingerDX.. Just don't mess with settings you're not sure of
PC companion not work cuz i cant boot my phone =( im stuck in sony ericson, and where i can find SUES? ty
SEUS is no longer available... you have to plug your phone into the computer, remove the battery, on PC companion it will say "Repair this phone" in small lettering, click that then with your phone connected to the computer via USB hold the back button and put your battery in, this will put your phone into Flash mode and allow PC companion to repair your phone
i love you dude, thank you, i will not mess up again with that XD, btw i have a year using this website is awesome, i was trying to learn more about Xrecovery and CWM ty!!
What do you mean you have a gear using this website?
CWM and Xrecovery can be dangerous..
No problem!
haha my bad, "year", btw PC companion cant find a software to install, right now im talking to Sony ericson.
i think cuz i have other baseband =S
Hmm, I had this problem, just yesterday infact, I still had access to recovery though... I'm not sure what you should do, I think SE will tell you to send the phone back to them to be honest..
yea my phone its dead, QQ, lets get iphone 5 this new year, ty Smyth12 anyways

There still is a way to fix the phone using PC companion, the baseband doesn't matter.. as far as I know, don't quote me on that... hmm.. When I think of something I will let you know
Guys, forget PC Companion (PCC) and Update Service (SEUS) ...
If your phone still gets to the Sony Ericsson Logo, or still shows some sign of life so you can be sure that the bootloader and kernel (STOCK Kernel - I don't know if this works with custom kernels as well) is still alive, restore your device this way:
Make sure you have a Java Runtime installed.
If you're on a 64-Bit Windows Edition you NEED to have the 32-Bit JRE installed!
Make sure you have the Android drivers installed
(should already be the case if you installed PC Companion / Update Service)
Download Flashtool 0.2.9.1
Extract it to C:\Flashtool
Download Android 2.1.1.C.0.0
Copy the "X8_2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf" you just downloaded INTO the "firmwares" folder inside the Flashtool directory.
Disconnect your phone from the computer and turn it OFF!
Now start the X10FlashTool.exe in C:\Flashtool
Plug the USB cable into JUST your phone (NOT into the computer!).
Click "Flash" in Flashtool and select X8_2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf you copied into the Firmwares folder.
In the next window don't do anything, just click "OK"
Flashtool will show you a window about what you have to do:
- PRESS and HOLD the BACK button of your phone.
- Connect the USB cable to your computer. Keep the button PRESSED!
- If Windows is nagging about installing drivers - let it do its job. Keep the button PRESSED!
- Once you see output happening in Flashtool's window you can release the back button of the phone.
Patiently wait until flashing finished.
Now, as Flashtool will tell you ... disconnect the phone and turn it on.
BE PATIENT - the first boot can take a few minutes.
Once the phone booted up ...
Enable "Unknown Sources" and "USB Debugging" in your phone's settings.
Connect the phone back to the computer.
Press "Root" and let Flashtool root the Droid.
A automatic reboot will follow!
Once the phone finished rebooting ...
Press "Ask root perm" and look at your phone. You will get a popup from Superuser to grant su permissions. Confirm the request!
Now click "xRecovery" to inject xRecovery into your phone.
Done ...
Now you can go ahead and install a xRecovery compatible ROM (i.e. FroyoPro).
Download the ZIP you want to flash and push it to your phone's SD card. Example:
adb push C:\Users\<your_username>\Downloads\FroyoPro-v1.1.zip /sdcard
(you need to input that command in a Command Prompt)
If you want GingerDX back on your phone ...
- Download GingerDX v013 and copy it onto your phone's SD card (i.e. by ADB)
- Download GingerDX v020 and copy it onto your phone's SD card (i.e. by ADB)
- From Flashtool make the phone to reboot into xRecovery.
- Flash GingerDX v013 in xRecovery.
- Reboot
- Keep tapping on the screen once the Sony Ericsson Logo appears to get into CWM.
- Flash GingerDX v020 in CWM.
- Full-Wipe ("Factory Reset")
- Reboot
I just revived my X8 a few hours ago by this way after a update flash went terribly wrong for reasons I'm not able to tell.
ty, and ive trying to fix it but nop, nothing.

im the problem not "smyth12", but i cant do anything not even get into my xrecovery, i think what i did was unmount the file system using recovery by error, or some important file to boot at least with Xrecovery.

You're welcome mate.
Remember to keep the instructions and required files save in case you manage to soft-brick the device again.
i dont understand this .
hi all
i have a problem with rooting.!
my phone bricked and i flashed 2.1.1.c.0.0.ftf
but now when i wanna root it with superoneclick or x8toolbox it stops at "waiting for device"
help me please.!
1) run superoneclick.exe as administrator
2) it is normal for it not to respond at first..try more times
3) if that doesn't work check if usb debugging is on?
enable usb debugging in settings
dont forget to install the drivers
usb debugging is enable

i already have them.!
Enable USB-Debugging and connect your phone to the computer (do NOT enable USB-Storage mode - connect in Charging mode!)
Start Flashtool and root with Flashtool ... for me this always worked more reliably than with SuperOneClick.
Same mine before, but what i do is take out the memory & just like a miracle i dont know why its work,i manage to root my phone without a sdcard, maybe because my sdcard has poor quality...
try remove battery b4 u plug it to comp..
its always works 4 me..
P.S. hold the back button until flashtool recognize it..
may be 15 secs is enough..
more than that,,repeat the procedures..
first time rooting my X8,,i got the same problem..
wih u luck
try to change User Account Control in windows ( disable it ) , restart windows and try again
root using flash tools is more easy
OK, try one of these things:
1.Run superoneclick/x8toolbox as admin on your PC
2.Use flashtool to root your device
3.if i donsnt respond, just wait for a few minutes, OR keep trying to run the programm
You will get their eventually
finally solved.!
the problem was with the drivers.!
i don't know why but i could do everything with drivers except rooting.!
thanks for replies.!
this is what finally worked for me, very easy.

I want to upgrade now, when i click update.zip from recovery mode.
I get error that super user access required. can anyone tell me is there any app to get direct acccess of super user.?????
i am sure experts, that there will be something....but what is that???
Googling for hours dint helped!!!!
Note: i cant connect my device to PC as hardware is damaged.
Which OS version Froyo or GB?
If you still used froyo you may use Z4root to root your device by download it from market.
But if newer GB or later so waiting for another user to help
E signature verification failed in update.zip
Buddy,
thanks for reply. now few more queries
Here are the details :
Firmware : 2.3
Baseband version: I90000DDJP2
Kernal version : 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number : FROYO.DDJP2
Mine is worse case scenario.
1. i cant connect to PC (USB connector / hardware damage)
2. in reboot mode i f i choose "apply update.zip from sd card" i end in error "e- signature verification fail, installation aborted.
3. I dont know how to fix it. Also i cant see any directory in "MyFiles"
can i use z4root without USB ????
i guesss it requires device connected to PC (i cant do it)
isnt there any other app or something llike, this is really tedious job for me now.
Your help is appreciated.

what is your recovery Ver.? do you see a <3e>?
if you dont have <3e>, there may be an option (hidden somewhere in the menu) to make a superuser through the recovery.
after that you can change kernels with "SGS kernel flasher" by NELDAR (in market)
and use "[root] Mobile ODIN Pro" by chainfire to flash roms (has the option to auto-root even stock when flashing)
Hey Hi,
yes i have <3e> recovery version.
What i can do to upgrade os now??
my usb connector on motherboard is physically dmaged so no USB is working??
device is not rooted also, is there any way or app to root device directly without USB??
Thanks in advance.
Hi Guys,
i got a huge Problem with my GT - 9305.
I already saved my IMEI etc and now i want to root my phone but I got a problem.
I done everything said in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32235061&postcount=1 BUT:
Everytime I go in downloade mode and want to start Odin this happens ( see attachments )
My Phone wont reboot while I press start, it still says: Downloading ... and nothing happens.
I have installed latest Kies + Drivers, sometimes Kies find the GT-9305 and sometimes not, then i have to reinstall the Drivers.
I have selected MTP + ADB
Android 4.1.1
XXALI7
Buildnummer: JRO03C.I9305XXALI7
make sure Kies is not running when you do it
Root your phone with One Click
Hey, I've got an unlocked i9305 with Optus in Australia.
I rooted my i9305 weeks ago, just a simple software with one click, nothing to do with Odin.
I don't know why there's hardly such tool in the xda and many english-based forum, try this link:
http://sj.qq.com/root [Probably you don't understand Chinese language, google-translate the webpage]
Things you need to do:
1.A Windows-based PC
2.Download the tool from the link
3.Have kies installed (Or you can install the phone driver alone)
4.Enable usb-debug in development option on your i9305
5.BACK UP!
6.Connect your phone with a cable to your PC
7.Use the tool, ONE Click, root your phone successfully
8.After rooting you'll probably find a superuser app in Chinese, don't worry
9.Go downloading the Superuser app in play-store, it can help you to switch to the new SU app.
10.Done!
