App Amazon Kindle can handle only PRC, you have to convert .mobi -> .prc
that easy, you rename your .mobi to .prc then it will be ok with this tool
OK thanks
I converted some books from epub to mobi with calibre and renamed them to prc. Transferring went well, but the books do not appear anywhere in kindle on my device. What am I doing wrong here?
[Edit]
Alright, after I started kindle for the third time all of a sudden all books appeared. Great job, thank you.

I can't deploy any ebooks anymore. The issue is that I can't drag and drop the files to your PRC adder. The mouse cursor always turns into that "forbidden" thing. Could it be related to the Windows Phone SDK 7.1 final version I have installed on my system?
Awesome work and awesome tools you really come up with really helpful tools..thanks ..thanks a lot
Hi, the Oxford American dictionary in kindle is important for me.
So can I put the dictionary in it with this tool?

~moonscapex
wow this is a great idea!
Have you thought of putting the glossy themed build on it?
Didnt know there was one.
Could you post a link?
its on the hd thread. It actually works really nice and looks great. Just replace all the files except the zimage, rootfs , and modules.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624808:)
can this be dl'ed directly to windows phone ? or does it have to go to pc ?
Right now it requires a pc. Im working on a CAB.. And thx for posing the themed version link.
woah woah woah... your telling me your gonna put all the latest updates of xdandroid into one simple place, make the installing easier (which was pretty easy to do already), and it's for the diam500?!
epic. absolutely epic.
cheers to you all!
I'm about to flash this rom + xdandroid on my diamond and noticed that you mention that android "builds can be easily updated" and was wondering what you ment by that. Will all my apps/settings remain or is it just easy to install the newer versions
I downloaded the program. In the Destination Folder dialog, I was unable to select the HTC Internal Storage folder--in fact I could not see the HTC device in the Browes button-only my logical drives. I'm using windows 7 and I could see the device in Windows Explorer.

Connect your phone in the 'Disk Drive' mode not 'ActiveSync' and then you'll be able to see the drive. This just places all the files then onto the root of the internal storage
Thx for helping him.
I'm actualky working on a different project, a Universal XDADEOID installer to work with all devices (DIAM500 is coming first). Ill post a link to the thread soon.

Thanks for your help. I can now see the phone/drive, but not the Internal Storage folder/dirve... I see a set of folders including application data.
Where would I find how to get to the Internal Storage.

Sorry for being such a newbie... I just selected the root of the "Removable Drive." the files copied there. Now just tyring to figure out what the next step is...
I got it installed last night; very cool!
I note that in the text messages, I can only see the last message received. I can't see any of the previous messages to a contact that I received or ones that I sent. However, in the View All Messages, there is a number in "()" that seems to indicate the total number of messages associated with the contact--just can't figure out how to get to them.
The keyboard has me baffeled. How do I get to the gray numbers/symbols above the regular key letter?
Finally, some of the message and mail screen fonts are quite small. Is there a way to zoom the screen, like rotating the around the "button?"
Thanks for your work on this and your patience with me.

So yes that's the root folder so you have it all in the right place now all you have to do is run the 'haret.exe' this will start up android and the phone will take it from there (first boot will take a little bit). Also, personally, shutting off the wireless crashes my phone so if that happens to you just boot up android again skipping all of the initial setup steps.
I just installed this as well. It installed without a hitch. I'm migrating from the Touch and this seemed a little sluggish.

Can you run NVfalsh by holding volume - and clockwork by holding volume +?
is it possible to have both?

You can use the usb driver from the Win CE SDK.
Follow these instructions - http://forum.tegratab.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8
Just download the Win CE SDK and when asked for the drivers point to the Win CE SDK Directory.
Explained a little here:

Sounds like you used the Nvidia bootloader, instead of the Gtablet one.
Ah... I did. I will give it another try in the morning.
Worked like a charm. My bad.
Is there anyway to change the GTablet screen that comes up next?
Dont want to impose over the thread... But hey thought I add this here...
Looking thru the Gtab forum and I got to say Roebeet is doing an awesome job. As others her as well. Just might jump into one because of you guys.
Again dont want to hijack the thread.
Put this together rather quickly...
Bootanimation AFTER the Viewsonic logo
Yep... That's just a bootanimation.zip file that you can replace in the /system/media
Just happened to look into that two days ago and changed mine, then Rothnic showed up the 'other' screen. Funny how things work together that way.
You can ADB and push the file but all I did was find another bootanimation.zip use root explorer to copy in the /system/media (of course I backed up the old one first) then rebooted.
Here is the animation I am using now, little Android guy with a spinning circle that I 'borrowed' from Eugenes Macnut13 release.

Nevermind, Rothnic posted it in his thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859383)
Worked perfectly
Thanks for posting the image and the instructions. It worked perfectly to get rid of those ugly Viewsonic birds that first pop-up when booting the G Tablet. And since I already had CyanogenMod 7 on the unit, that's all I needed to completely give my tablet a non-branded and very cool look.
Thanks for this!

Hi everybody,
As you probably know the WP7 Marketplace doesn't allow our HD2 whithout some tricks and it's always a bit boring after changing our WP7 ROM to reinstall all our apps, having to do it one by one.
That is why I made this simple application that allow you to install many apps with one click !
Instructions :
1. Extract the zip
2. Put all your XAPs in the XAP folder
3. Launch WP7App Restore.exe
4. Click on Install all the XAP in the XAP folder
Credits to eried for the deployer.
DOWNLOAD
PS: I will soon put a lot of XAP online for you
Screen :

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
To Do list :
- Drag and Drop XAPs on the app
- Stop installation when you want
Changelog :
- V1.0 : Initial release (3 March)
- V1.1Alpha : Correct the space bug + shows the progress of the installations (8 March)
Known Issues :
- [SOLVED] V1.0 Can't install XAP that has spaces in the name : Solution : Solved in V1.1, download the latest version or just rename your XAP into a name without spaces
Thanks for the effort, and btw, any app you download through zune (pc) it get redownloaded automatically when flashing another ROM (must be same ID)
But thanks, As most of my apps are downloaded through the market place (phone) .
Thanks and good job, downloading now. After trial I can give you remarks .
good job man
Wanted to install the HTC Battery Tool.xap and the latest SHCamera App.xap with the tool on the last XBoxMod ROM on my HD2. After starting WP7 App Restore, I received the message: "Status: Stopped. Incorrect Arguments". Whats my problem?
Thanks, Olli2
Thanks for reporting that,
This problem happens if you open WP7-deploy directly.
Do you open "WP7App Restore.exe" and not "WP7-deploy.exe"
Other problem could be if you didn't put the XAP you want to install in the XAP folder but that shouldn't affect the app.
If that doesn't solve your problem please tell me the OS you are using
Thanks
My OS ist Win7 x86. I opened the "WP7App Restore.exe" with admin rights. The xaps (both) I copied in XAP folder, the XAP folder is in the WP7App Restore folder.
Zune is running, but not active and minimized.
Thanks for helping, Olli2.
OK so first I have to say that I have been able to reproduce the error. I know where I have to work and that is a good start.
I made a new build for you. I attached it to my post.
Please tell me if it corrected the problem.
Thanks
Now I tried the new version, it is different from the first version.
First I run WP7App Restore.exe with admin rights. The next window shows "C:\WP7AppRestoe\XAP\HTC BATTERY TOOL.xap -dsr" in this window I click the OK button. The next windows shows short "Idle" and then "Status: Stopped. Incorrect arguments" (like in the first version). In this window I can click on the "Close" button. The next window I have again an "OK" button, this window shows "C:\WP7AppRestore\XAP\SHCameraApp.xap - dsr. After clicking the OK button, a window opens with "Status: Preparing". After minutes of waiting nothing will happen. So I just click on the "Cancel" button.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks that helped me to find an issue.
The app couldn't install files with a space in the name
Now this issue is solved.
The long Statusreparing is more problematic for me...
Try the new version I attached to this post
Oh and for the others V1.1 coming soon
Sorry, now I only get the "Status: Preparing" and nothing happens for minutes. It doesn´t matter if there is a space in the name of the xap file.
Have you got the .net Framework 4 installed? That may be because of that?
You must have installed the tools to install a normal XAP too : such as developer SDK
Hi guys
V1.1 Alpha is out !
Adds Files with spaces support and now displays the status of the installation
See first post for the download
Thank you Sir.
Very nice app indeed.
A must-have for wp7
Works fine ! thnx ^^
Thanx ! Good app.
Nice! atleast one relief after new rom flash...
nice, definitely a nice addition to the short list of good windows apps!

The software update will include:
Kindle FreeTime, a tablet experience just for kids allowing parents to set daily screen time limits, and give access to appropriate content for each child.
A setting so customers can control whether or not personalized recommendations appear below the carousel on the device homepage.
Ability for customers to set the default device language to one of six languages, including English (US), English (UK), German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's how to download the Kindle software update version 10.2.1 and transfer it to your Kindle via USB:
1.Determine your software version: Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap More. Tap Device, and then tap About. If you see a System Version other than "Current Version: 10.2.1," proceed to step 2.
2.Download your software: Click the following link to download the software update file directly to your computer: Download Software Update 10.2.1
3.Transfer software to your Kindle Fire: Turn on your Kindle Fire and unlock the screen. Then connect it to your computer using a USB cable. On your Kindle Fire drive (the drive is typically displayed as a "device" icon), open the Internal storage folder. Drag and drop the new update file from your computer to the kindleupdates folder on your Kindle drive. Do not drop the file into any other folder on the Kindle drive.
4.Monitor file transfer and disconnect: Check your file transfer progress to ensure file transfer to your Kindle is complete before disconnecting. After the file has transferred successfully, disconnect the USB cable from your Kindle and your computer.
5.Start the software update: On the Home screen, swipe down from the top and select More. Tap Device, and then tap About. Then tap Update Your Kindle. Your Kindle will restart during the update. After the restart, you will see Your Kindle is Updating.
6.Once the update is complete and your Kindle has restarted: If your software update was successful, your System Version should now read 10.2.1.

Hey I just wanted to comment that no app from the second gen kindle fire works for me. They just force close. However for the HD I got setup running but it crashed at the end. So maybe it would be easier to port the HD rom.

The HD, none of the specs are the same. Thus, It is probably not possible unless we modify a lot of applications.
Hi everyone, looks like the kindle fire HD and the upcoming nook tablets HDs have a similarity between the TI OMAP processors.
On the kindle fire HD it has the TI OMAP 4460 and the nook tab HD's have the OMAP TI 4470, both dual layered.
Does anyone have the binary drivers for the kindle fire HD? Or if someone has a git repo on this device for kernel development? Kind of curious if the binary drivers are in the same family or if there is discrepancy between the drivers between those two processors. Looking to possibly port over what work done here to the upcoming Nook HDs and get my team up and going on kernel development. Also interested in the sound codec drivers.
What work we do can also be shared here with you guys also.
Will this return a rooted/hacked/modded KF2 to stock?

sounds feasible may be someone has already tried this option, I will search the web and see
cant we get a ics rom (aka hellfire) to run the launcher?
I think if you removed the files and lines in the updater-script that flash any sort of bootloader or recovery, you should be fine.
If you can strip everything out except the system ROM itself, then you should be able to get that alone to install via TWRP without issue. It'd be like installing any other ROM.
This is a tool for windows. The purpose of this application is to view, sort, filter and install Ouya market apps from a PC.

Lets say you have kids or other family members on the tv that the Ouya is hooked up to. This application will allow you browse and install games from the Ouya market from your PC so you can spend those precious gaming minutes/hours actually gaming rather than looking for, downloading or installing your games. It also has my favorite feature, a complete list of all games in alphabetical order! You can also use this to install any apk file or reboot your ouya.
Basic usage-
- Select a game to view the image.
- Click "download" to save the selected game apk file to disk.
- Click "install" to browse for a .apk file to install
... That's all you need to get going, the rest kind of just make sense, but feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Notes-
If you want to use the wifi adb support, please make sure that you have tcpip support enabled on your ouya.
For stability the adb server is killed on every button click before it issues any new adb commands, which means even the reboot will take about 15-20 sec while the server comes back up to respond.
More sorting and filtering to come...
Install Instructions-
-Extract the files and run the setup.exe, after which it will be accessible from the start menu (under ProfessorPopTart).
-For updates please uninstall the previous version.
-Use the "nonInstall" version for a standalone executable.
*This is a Beta release, please post any issues! Thanks.
** updated to version 0.2

I don't know how yet but if they are letting third party access to their store then we can make our own store that looks good and has a listing of all apps.
Very good, thanks for development!!

Fyi, just finished an alpha build of this to run on the Ouya. Its just a simple app that lists the games and shows you the image when you select it. You can then download the apk for install. Basically the same thing this one does... I have been testing it on cm10 and seems to be working fine. I need a few days for code cleanup/documentation so its at least presentable for a beta, then I'll post the apk for general testing and such.
