I have successfully installed WP7 on my HTC HD2 but when i am trying to listen music (MP3 files) using Music + Video, the music start playing but there is no sound. Can anyone please help me?
Thanks in advance!
Are the files encoded with some weird codec. MP3 works fine for me. Try some generic MP3 at 128 kpbs from the net and report back.
Please recommend a video player + Version that we can play .mp4 with H264 codecs and .flv files on our FBO devices smoothly.
I believe we have ARMv7 type CPU... Ive tried a few players but most struggle with large .flv file size.
My devices and firmware are
1x WellcoM A99 (850 UMTS) running the awesome Bumble bee 101-3
1x WellcoM A99 (850 UMTS) running Stock 2.3.4 WellcoM Rom Rooted/unbloated
1x Cherry Mobile Magnum HD (900 UMTS) running Bumble bee 101-3
respect xda rules please, no links to warez

You where on to something here
Spent half the day installing uninstalling various players and their versions.
Mobo player lagged on .flv files
Rockplayer lagged on large .flv or couldnt use hardware encoding.
MX Player latest version kept giving me FC
then i read about MX Player v1.5 being stable and compatible for CM7 so i gave it a try... it works FLAWLESS!! and it even Hardware Encodes when it needs which none of the others did.
thx to those that recommended.
Tried Buzz Player ???

DL 1.3.0 now.... will give it a try!
nope still cant play this one file i have, its a 1080p 140mb MP4 .flv music video... i mean it plays but is laggy as hell.
BUZZ player is good, but still not as good as the MX Player v1.5
thanks tho
I use a combo of bsplayer lite and mx player. Best of all, they're both free! Grab em, on the play store. install the arm v7 codecs if you're having trouble playing files.
I like to use MX player. easy to navigate to fast foward, to increase/decrease volume while driving. hehe
Have You Tried QQPlayer??
Guy's Have you tried "Dice player" it's also very good player
I still recommend you Mobo player.. Don't use "Mobo Player Pro"..
Go to settings and set it to default "Soft Decoding"..
I myself played many .flv files of more than 1GB data......
Because I love watching movies on our device...
As we all got ICS update with new developer we have conclude again which is best Video player as above all are not working flawlessly over ICS.
I think BS player is good one ....
Any one else want to post there view...

+1 bro.. ithinks MX Player 1.5 is still #1 for me when using CM7 bumblebee + the awesome ICS-Gingerbread theme loaded from the CM7 Theme Chooser app. And like what natsuke said just swipe up/down for volume so easy!
FYI i still keep trying new video players when you guys recommend them so keep the recommendations coming in if you find something
cheers

I tried the latest Vital Player Pro, and it wouldn't play some of my .flv music videos where the MX Player would. It wouldn't even hardware encode so its a fail from me

I tried this yesterday, the latest pro version 2.04... omg every .flv file i tried to play the screen went crazy with different colors and i couldnt see the video.
edit.. this only happened while using the ICS Codename Rom, once i put MacDragon Rom back on the App played all files nicely. It even switched to HW encode
bs player is good player..it performs better than rockplayer.those formats which are not supported by the stock player ar played with softwaredecoding.thats why at higher resulutions those players can not give good performance.i've tried h.264 hd file it only gives 20 to 21fps..but the mp4 version gives 31fps..only reason is hardware decoding instade of s/d..by the way rockplayer can play any format..

QQPlayer is capable of playing any video file extension..its a free tool available for download in market.

Hey.
Anyone else had problems with FLAC playback on their Notes? I am super frustrated trying to work out why some FLAC files only playback part of the songs but others seem to work fine. I've found the same problem with the stock music player, Meridian, Cloudskipper and Mortplayer.
I've copied the FLAC files from the Note to other devices and they playback fine...
Any help would be really appreciated because I have a lot of FLAC files and it is the one thing that is holding me back from saying the Note is an awesome device...
I see that the NOTE uses ogg files for the camera sounds, but the stock music player and winamp says the phone doesn't play them.
Glad that they will play FLAC but why no OGG? If someone can confirm a player that works, perferably free or not £3+ I'll be happy.
I can't get my head around why they won't play!
Thanks in Advance ppl!
Not sure about other ROM versions, but on my LQ2 the stock music player handles ogg files without problems

Yes with stock video player, I have this issue. But, you can always play with a another player e.g. MX Video Player, it works flawlessly.
Mx Video Player also can`t play the audio file for some mkv files, only when using software decoding. I think it`s because the stock video player doesn`t know the audio codec used and doesn`t have support for software decoding. But yea, using an alternative video player should work.
BSPlayer free, does it with dts as well
Using DicePlayer atm, very good, audio plays, but sometimes the audio isnt correct and makes a high pitch sound, i'll try out the other players soon

It's not a "fresh" topic for playing mkv on Android device like this Xperia z no sound output. Some people have recommend a pile of video players like MX player, Dice player, etc and some others recommend to decode/encode the MKV files to a common video files like MP4 for easy playback. I think the no audio issues mainly depend on the DTS audio codec contained in MKV files, which is not easy to handle for most of the android devices. I'm the Xperia Z user, and have some other files like AVI, FLV, MPG and VOB files to Xperia Z for free playback on the go, so I choose to get a video convert tool to fast reformat these files to a Xperia Z favorable format that won't come up any problems. I found the way to put MKV videos to Xperia Z without any audio issue from Goolge.

Forget P.O.S. spyware apps like Brorsoft...
Avidemux, on the other hand, is brilliant.
bsplayer free did the trick for me
if you're using MX player , unmark the use hw decoding tick and you'll have sound
