[LOCKSCREEN] Windows Phone 7-like Lockscreen

Okay, I really wanted to get the WinPhone7 lockscreen for Android, but no one has made an app for that yet...so I got experimental with Minimal Text Widget + Desktop VisualizeR. Please note that this is not an exact look-alike and does not behave like WP7's lockscreen. This does not bounce.

Requirements:
-WidgetLocker - $1.99 USD - Market
-Minimalist Text App - Free - Market
-APKManager - Free - Link
-Root Explorer - $3.93 USD - Market
-Custom iPhone Slider/Background (Made by me) - Free - Download Attachment Below
Let's get started.

Step 1. Open up Root Explorer. Navigate to data/app and find "com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.apk". Do a long press and copy to your SD card.
2. Transfer WidgetLocker to your computer. Place WL's APK anywhere you desire. Do not close this window.
3. Open up APKManager RAR and extract all of the files to a folder. Anywhere you desire.
4. Open up the APKManager folder you just made. Open up "place-apk-here-for-modding". Back to WL's APK location, drag WidgetLocker's APK to "place-apk-here-for-modding" inside of the APKManager folder.
5. Back in the root of APKManager folder, double-click "Script".
6. Choose option #22 (Set current project) by typing "22", and then #1, then #1 (Extract APK) again. Do not close this window.
7. In APKManager's root folder, open up "projects". Navigate to com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.apk/res/drawable-hdpi. It does not matter what screen your are, just open it.
8. Find "slider_iphone" and "slider_iphone_background". Delete those two files and replace them with the modded ones.
9. Open up Script again. Choose option #3 (ZIP APK), and then select Regular ZIP. Once that is done ZIPing up, choose option #4 (Sign APK).
10. In the folder "place-apk-here-for-modding", there should be a new APK called "signedcom.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker-1.apk". Put that on your SD card. Install the new WidgetLocker on your phone.

Lockscreen Time!
1. Once installed, goto Tool Mode by launching WidgetLocker manually. Then navigate to Menu/Settings/Look & Feel/Slider & Layout. Choose iPhone Slider.
2. Now goto Menu/Add. Choose Minimalist Text, and then the 4x2 option. That seems to work best.
3. Uncheck Show Background. Then goto "Horizontal Block" and "Horizontal Text" and make them both "Left". Then goto Predefined Layout > Custom... Then make your layout like below.
[Hour (12h)] [Static text- ":"] [Minute (2 digits)]
[Day of week]
[Month text] [Static text " "] [Day]
P.S. The "Static text" for Layer 1 is just a colon and the one on Layer 2 is a space.
Now add a Static text in the very front for all of the rows. Now for each Static text, add 3 spaces.

4. Once you're done with the layout, press Back until your at the Main Menu. Goto Text Style and make all of them
Font family: Default
Bold: Uncheckd
Italic: Unchecked
Size: 45 dip
Case: Normal
Color: White (#ffffff)
(Leave the rest under Color unchanged.)
When you're done filling the first one out, just go back and do the second and third ones.
When you're with those, press OK. There you have it!

You don't actually need Root Explorer.
Just use the SDK to pull the .apk

Don't quite understand how this mimics WP7? Looks like a custom background, with a text widget and a WidgetLocker mod. You can't slide up the whole picture like on WP7.

This is my favourite theme because of the transparent look. I really like the alpha transparencies on the status bar so even with a while background it still shows everything. I've updated it to fix some graphics issues that were bugging me...
- Removed black line under transparent status bar
- Created new lockscreen as old one wasn't displaying properly
- Changed "InCall" lockscreen as I think the author forgot this
- Updated HTC Skin Preview
- Resigned APK (installs no worries)
Special thanks to the original author NeoPhyTe.x360 for creating this awesome theme. Also thanks to sopL87 for porting NeoPhyTe.x360's theme over to Desire HD.

Simply copy .apk to microSD card and install with a file manger as you would any other app. Using stock HTC Sense UI, open your personalize menu and then select Skin, then choose AuraxTSense.

does this theme works on revolution hd rom?

^^ Um I don't see why not. I mean I've not personally tried Revolution ROM but I have tried this theme on Sense UI, Laucher Pro and ADW.Launcher and they all work. If you are using Launcher Pro or ADW.Launcher for me the only way I could seem to use the theme was to install the .apk file then switch into Sense UI then select the AuraxTSense Skin in under your Sense Profile/Skins. Finally I'd switch back to Laucher Pro or ADW.Launcher and the skin would remain on. My guess is if using a custom launcher other than the stock HTC Sense one you may well need to have Sense installed to select this skin.

is it possible to put down all transparent?
so that we do not see the buttons?

When I clic on phone, this bouton is bleu and is not beautifull

This is exactly what lead me to edit this theme so yeah I can highly recommend doing some editing. Very easy to do. Just rename the .apk theme file to a .zip file and you can open up all the folders and see all the images. Many have sensible easy to find names like statusbarXxxxxx or lockscreenXxxxxx. Use your favourite image editing software or just grab the images from other themes. Then you just need to copy the edited files back into the original zip with the program 7-zip or winRAR and then you'll also need to search for Stericsson's Autosigning tool. The Auto Sign tool resigns the .apk otherwise Android won't allow you to install the .apk.

afetr modification, I can't install my modifed apk

^^ You need to resign the .apk file with Stericssons Autosign tool. Word of advice is DO NOT choose the option in Stericssons tool to install the registry file. If you install the registry file every .zip file you double click to open will instead be signed by the tool and there is no easy way to uninstall. I had to do a load back to a previous restore point in Windows 7 to get rid of that. So the best thing is when opening up Stericssons AutoSign tool is first thing delete the .reg file so you cannot accidently modify your registry. Using the tool you only need to choose the option 4 to manually sign your .zip or .apk file.
If you really run into problems and can't figure it out PM me. I'm happy to send you the autosign tool you or to sign the .zip or .apk if need be... be warned though I'm just about to move interstate so I will be pretty busy for the next bit. I may not have time to go on XDA for a little while, just have to see.

Sorry guys sopL87 has brought to my attention that I've accidently broken the forum rules by not contacting the authors before posting their edited work. He requests that I remove the link to the theme so I have removed the link.
I am moving interstate tomorrow so I'll be busy for a while but I'd like to contact the original author NeoPhyTe.x360 when I have time and see if he would let me post an edited version of his AuraxTSense theme. Again this will take time. If all is good I'll post back here if this is a go.

Go launcher Ex Theme Help

Im trying to edit a Go Launcher Ex theme, with ninja morph,
Ninja morph applys it fine and it works well
Problem is every time i reboot my phone the modified .APK never shows in the theme settings and restores back to stock default theme,
The modded APK still appears in /Data/App and has permissions set as rw-r--r--
Cant see what im doing wrong,
Any advice on this annoying matter please would be much appreciated

i dont use Ninja morph, so cant give any tips there, but i have create my own theme by moddifying the free classic theme apk, by replacing the icons, wallpaper, dock & app draw elements, then reinstall.
not what you asked for, but its an alt' & quick way to change it.
btw, ur layouts looking good

Hey,
rename the .apk to .zip extract the res folder modify png's as required, then drag res folder back to the zip, overwriting the orig'
then change .zip back to .apk & sign with apk manager
Just a heads up tho... you might be better off using the honeycomb theme as a base, as the classic theme will shrink your icons, unless you delete certain png's, not at home at the mo' so can't check which 1's

Splash Screens
To change your splash screen - ( I know there might be simpler and possibly better ways to do this, but I like doing it this way and so am posting it here). Before doing this copy paste any of the splash screen files to the tools folder in your android sdk folder.
1. Restart your device in bootloader mode
2. Connect your usb
3. Start fastboot mode. Make sure you are in fastboot usb
4. Start up command prompt
6. Navigate to your android sdk folder (Using cd ... etc)

Note: If you are getting an AdbWinApi.dll error. Just copy paste the one in your platform-tools folder to your tools folder

Sense 3.5 mods
Some mods I have put together for the Sense 3.5. I have tried to keep the look as much stock as possible changing only some parts to give it a more pleasing look. This is still very much a WIP. I am not gonna make a theme out of it as lots of the parts are borrowed, but I will not say no to sharing.
Most of the icons on top are from MIUI, The battery is from elegant blues by he_stheone64

I have changed the system icons as well. The icons are from the faenza pack. And I will upload based on requests. I am posting a few here just for starters.
If you want to change a system icon just pull the file from either system/app or data/app change ic_launcher_'app_name".png or icon.png or 'app_name'.png

Just remember that files from system/app have to be pushed and files from data/app have to be installed. I have posted an in depth method here

System Mods
This one is quite a work in progress. Will be modified a lot in the next few days. I am combining a lot of slate and light blue elements. Would have made an apk for theme manager but I am modifying the lockscreen too and theme manager doesn't handle that. (Atleast thats what uot tells me)

It doesnt work with Cyanogen roms! its like the boot sound.... but with the bootsound there is a way to make it work (i know this from when i used CM6&7+ versions) but after using the LeeDroid rom i never looked back

With cm7 you have to put the animations in /system/media/ . With sense you use /data/local/ . Also in sense you have to rename the file to htc_bootanimation.zip and htc_downanimation.zip
If the above two areas dont work, you can also try /system/customize/resources/

Please remember, I am doing this theme for me and my wife's personal use, and am only sharing with the community because I feel that it should be shared. I also work 50+ hours a week, so I will work on this as much as I can.

Instructions:
BACK YOUR PHONE THE EFF UP!!!!
Use adb to push the two files to your phone via USB:
1. adb remount
2. adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
3. adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app
4. adb shell chmod 0644 /system/app/SystemUI.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
5. adb reboot
or
Use root explorer on phone (or another similar file explorer):
1. Get files to sd card
2. copy them to the system folder of device
3. change permissions to rw-r-r
4. move framework-res.apk to /system/framework and overwrite existing one
5. move SystemUI.apk to /system/app and overwrite existing one
6. reboot
any problems, let me know i will try to help.
THE ICONS:
Icons are called Token and I found them on Google... not mine. Just replaced each icon manually using the Nova launcher.

THE WIDGET:
Widget is just Minimalistic Text widget found on the Google Play Store for free.
Pop this preference file in /sdcard/MinimalisticTextPreferences and restore it in settings, if you want the same widget:
Yellow ICS Clock
THE FONT:
The font in the Minimalistic Text widget is the ICS Android clock font. You will need to have it in your fonts folder (if you don't have one, just make one) and then in MT go to global settings and set the font folder to the one you made.
