Is there a way 2 have Xrecovery & cwm recovery installed side by side on 2.2 & 2.3 ROMs like the dual mode recovery that's available for 1.6 & 2.1 ROMs with the X8 Toolbox?

Dual mode recovery is built into many 2.2 and 2.3 x8 roms already.
Post questions in X8 Q&A forum please.

Any ROM you get from this forum will have installation instructions. This is the best place to start.
Gingerbread has not been officially released yet so I doubt you will find any ROMs based on it. Most custom ROMs are based on JPU and JPY (both FroYo), but they do have some Gingerbread elements installed.

Nice to see galaxy have recovery and 3 button mode.
Both are working on my galaxy.
Very easy to install custom rom.
But Xperia x10 need to root then install recovery and then custom rom.

As mentioned in the original thread also, there is no recovery for primehd v8
You have to install it manually or use x8 tool box.

hey
I've got a question about flashing a new rom, cause some instructions tell me to just boot into CWM and then flash etc. But on another post i saw u have to flash with NVflash because of the Tegra 2 chip. I wanted to install nova on my device and that topic says for optimus 2x just flash in CWM and reboot etc. Though the topic of eagles blood, another ROM, said i had to flash with NVFlash. What to use? And if u use CWM instead of NVFlash to flash, will it brick or brick more often??
information:
divice: optimus 2x aka. p-990
software: stock rom 2.3.4
CWM flashed: yes
Rooted: yes
normally flashing with cwm works fine. made this with nova, aokp, eaglesblood and owains rom. just make a full wipe and then flash it.

Hi Xda developers and all its users.
I have xperia X8 and i love my phone and using android 2.1 Eclair happily but for so many days i am quite unhappy because of some resons about my phone like
I cant port my apps toy sd card(Main Reason)
Multi touch disability..
So i have just rooted up my phone and install xrecovery 0.1 sucessfully
Now i am bit confused about choosing a rom formy phone..
After reading other threads about same problem some said froyo is better and else said ICS is better..
So guys plz suggest me which rom i should install in my phone which have no bugs and cant be laggy at all...
I can use my phone mostly for gaming, browsing and listening songs.
I like ICS and Jelly beans both..
Is there any custom rom among both of them which i can use....
Please suggest me...
Thank You
Well since you've just install xRecovery i assume you are using stock kernel. So i suggest you to use GingerDX v028b.
You've been joining XDA for about a year now but why did you post your question in Themes & App section. You should post your question in Q&A section. Please read the forum rules!!

As per u all said i installed Gingerdx...but when i reboot my phone the screen stucks at "SONY ERICSSON" logo...
What i do now....??
Install GZR!
your device is on stock kernel so put gingerbread rom/froyo ,its more stable....cause jelly bean and ics are not stable though on custom kernel.

Searching helps. Now, there is no "best rom". But since you pretty much know what you want, i suggest checkinh out the roms in the dev forums and find out which rom suits you best.

I apologies If I'm posting in the wrong section, I literally just signed up. I've rooted my device and have got the jellymod file downloaded, however I've looked at some tutorials (couldn't find one specifically for I9070) and they say to use ROM manager with clockwork mod however it seems my model isn't supported so I'm quite stuck, help please!

Do NOT use rom manager...can result in a brick. After you've rooted, install a custom kernel with custom recovery and then just flash the jellymod using custom recovery after placing it in the ext sd card..
Follow this guide

Go with CoCore..the same which is in the guide.. i believe that is 5.0 version.. you can update it later to 5.6 or 6.0 if you want to..
Edit- the link is to the main cocore thread.. so you can go ahead and install the latest i.e 6.0 with either twrp or cwm recovery..
