---[ UPDATE ]---
[ info ]
hello guys this is a custom kernel for Huawei U9000 Ideos X6 which is also known as:
Cherry Mobile Magnum HD A400 (philippines)
Spice CSL Mi 410 - Slim (india)
WellcoM A99 (thailand)
CSL Blueberry Mi 410
Currently this kernel is built using ramdisk for this ROM: Andro-ID v3.3 RC2
we have tested this to be working on "Spice CSL Mi 410"... i cannot guarantee that this will work on other versions of same device... please test it out and let us know...
the kernel is based on merged sources of Mi410 v3.18D kernel source 2.6.32.9.7z, posted by [email protected] forums, into SEMC 4.0 FW kernel sources...
[ thanks to ]
ardX for posting those sources
tj_style for helping out with boot.img creation parameters

ok time for some gyan!
see each cpu/chip is different
each is unique and has different tolerances
slowly keep increasing the frequency
check its stability for 5-10 hrs
check for random reboots
check which one is best suitable for ur device
if u start getting reboots/freezes then throttle back and use lower frequencies
remember just because someone elses device was able to work at that frequency/voltage doesnt mean that ur phone can support/handle that frequency/voltage
i would recommend that u DO NOT use high frequencies for long time! this may damage ur device!
[*]the high frequencies are just for temporary boost/benchmarks/showoff
[*]you have been warned!
[ how to install ]
please take full backup of system before testing/using this

Anything above 1.5ghz is giving me restart, Quadrant as well as normal phone operation, maybe something wrong with my phone.
I'm on Andro-ID RC2 with Spice CSL MI-410 (Indian Version)
Just installed and tested a couple of games, Dungeon Defenders and H.A.W.X. Both game rock stable at 1.6GHz and game runs with smooth framerate, front and back of the phone exhibit unusual warmth though but it suffers no problems at all.
I just use for testing though, the vast frequency selection is just what I needed, now I set at 460MHz max for day-to-day usage like watching video and playing light games such as Angry Bird, not too slow that the GUI suffers and save battery at the same time.
EDIT: 1.9GHz stable in Dungeon Defender, but the touchscreen started to go haywire after prolong use because of the heat I suppose. Phone gets really REALLY warm now. So it is VERY dangerous to use it. Quadrant gives a score of 2602, not too shabby. Like DooMLorD said this high frequency is only usable for short benchmarking and not for long run, its pretty much the same story for overclocking in PC
Ok, so I think I need to clear dalvik and wipe user data and then try 1.9ghz for the benchmarking, will see later

I am not sure, but may be that will help. Because I had formatted my device for installing RC1 a day before testing this kernel.
Good luck!

Download the zip file and flash it through CWM, it is safe as long as you don't Overclock to extremes, 1.5ghz is ok.
small correction. its not me who uploaded the kernel source. its [email protected] forum. I just collect it in my mirror bank
nice kernel
hello there doom lord.
very nice job. overclocking csl mi410 to the limit.
i never tried before but all i wanna say you make a great progress
keep it up

Also, as long as you have the system requirements mentioned by DooMLoRD (andro-id rc2, cwm), you should not face any problems.
Sent from my CSL-MI410 using XDA App
its a little for about a minute after boot, but other than that i LOVE it. nice work man, especially with that overclock. guess we beat out the g2's highest singlecore overclock

DoomLord Can This Kernel Be Installed On Official CSL Gingerbread ROM Through CWM.
mi410 uses the same chipset as some htc phone.
so i think it is possible to undervolt the processor.
which in turn can reduce the excess heating problem.
is it possible???
i have customize my 2.3.4 rom on my mi410.
but i dont know how to dump it in flashable rom.
plz help me.
waiting for reply.

A quasi-stellar radio source ("quasar") is a very energetic and distant active galactic nucleus. Quasars are extremely luminous and were first identified as being high redshift sources of electromagnetic energy, including radio waves and visible light, that were point-like, similar to stars, rather than extended sources similar to galaxies.
~~~
Quasar is the kernel that comes with Nova ROM. It's based on LG sources but improved where possible and increased in features. It's a very progressive work. The first releases may also be experimental, we need to test out which changes are for better and which ones are for worse; I hope you can all help me with this task.
Now available for stock ROMs!
I tried quadrant and I get lower score with savagedzen governor + V(R) I/O than the default setting...
thx for sharing your code
Ignore quadrant. It's unreliable and fluctuates a lot.
These things happen in the background.
It's daily usage that will tell you which one is better.
It is valid for load debian or ubuntu?
It's too troublesome.
The ramdisk for nova and stock is different and I don't feel like releasing 2 versions each time a new Quasar gets out. I could share the zImage and let someone else get it to a flashable boot.img though.
Basically I can't (rather shouldn't) install this update on Nova right? I checked Nova's changelog and didn't see the new quasar kernel listed.
All Nova ROM have the latest Quasar version, no need to flash anything.
The fact that you have launched Quasar v3 for stock roms... does it mean that finally is compatible with 10e rom version?
Will you try to make a new rom with this new base in a future?
Regards.
Thanks Mate. Downloading.
Edit:
Downloaded and flashed.
Initial issue, the first boot resulted in a hang and I had to pull out battery and restart.
On second try after the boot screen the phone rebooted itself.
All fine from then onward, though boot time has increased.
Wifi modules from FXP kernel worked fine.
It "feels" faster. I have tried playing two games, Asphalt 7 and "The Dark Knight Rises" and both "feel" much smoother.
Thanks.
1st boot results in system hang and need pull out battery
2nd boot stayed on boot logo a long time and then reboot itself twice, then everything goes fine.
It seems faster than v3.2, no Wifi on/off issue (I randomly got wifi issue on v3.2, status hang after turn off wifi and need restart).
Youtube plays fine.
Let's see how about the battery life.
It seems there is some issues on booting.
I tried to reboot manually. Again, it sucks on the boot screen a long time and then reboot 3 times itself, finally system hang. I ever can't boot into recovery and need pull out the battery again. It boot into system then. No such booting issue in v3.2.
Did I should use Antutu Cpu master??
coz I already use No-Frills....
I faced similar issues with booting.
Which device you have Arc or ArcS ?
mechmetal : Is there some logs we can provide for you to investigate this booting issue ?
@abhayks
Strange,I have not faced this issue once.What kernel were you using before?
If possible can you try these steps and report whether the issue persist s.
Flash latest stock ftf
Flash fusion kernel
Wipe everything
Flash any jb ROM
Thanks
seems kernel boots on 2.0ghz, that causes reboots.
This kernel is based on Semaphore Kernel by stratosk with a few changes I felt to be missing in semaphore.
This kernel combines the speed and stability of semaphore along with few additions for the best combination.
It is compatible with all JB 4.3 ROMs based on official CM10.2 layout.
Kernel versions 2.9.0 and lower are compatible with JB 4.2.x.
Differences with Semaphore
Entropy tweaks
Patched for 720p usage
Kernel Samepage Merging (KSM) enabled
ZRAM enabled as module (usable via init.d script, attached below)
SWAP enabled
FRANDOM module included
Some Kernel Debug related stuff disabled
Wheatley Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Intellidemand Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lulzactive Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lazy Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lagfree Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Load_freq(4*HZ+61) to avoid Loadavg Moire
A bit more RAM ( 1MB more )
Read Ahead increased to 1024kB max
Using Neon instead of SoftVFP
Ondemand , Conservative , smartassv2 , lulzactive , lazy and interactive tweaked
ROW , SIO , SIOplus, Deadline , BFQ and CFQ Scheduler tweaked
Normal OC Steps ( upto 1400MHz )
XZ Compression for Kernel and initramfs
Optimized AES and SHA1 routines
CPU Unaligned Access
TUN enabled by default
Seem everything working good. Notice the camera and video recording much smoother now.
Please dont flash the 1.7 version , I messed something up. It wont boot up , and you will have to flash back to GB using Odin then.
I am making a fixed version now. Please wait for it.
Cheers , fixed version of 1.7 uploaded and added to OP. Let the download begin.
I have issue via GPS . If GPS lock satellite, it don't open GPS agian . On the latest CM10.1 nightly. KB5
BLN not work . i use semaphore control an click BLN still not work .
CWM 6.0.2.9 on semaphore but this kernel just have CWM 6.0.2.7
CyanCore 2.1 Uploaded , minor changes
Updated Linux Kernel to 3.0.70 , removed Zen due to low performance and made a few more changes.
Captivate and Vibrant coming soon.
This one is still compiled with Linaro GCC 4.7.3 and not 4.8, I forgot to update the toolchain , but next version will be compiled with 4.8
Not for me. I tried your kernel with CM11 nightly last night and sadly, d2wake is not working
On Carbon(CM11 based) doubletap2wake doesn't works with default kernel and still not working with Lightning kernel.
But anyway, thanks for your work @nikhil18 :good:
Thanks @nikhil18! This solved my sound stuttering bug
Could you explain to me what the intellidemand etc. intelli stuff governors are for? I never understood what they were for :$ All I know is that ondemand and interactive is a good governor and is not a battery hog unlike Performance.
EDIT [ADD ON]: I would like to thank you for this Kernel, my ROM is smoother than before and more consistent in terms of performance, even though it already is, I can feel that it is, and its not placebo.. Keep it up. Looks like Im gonna have to set up my 2nd bank account with paypal and start donating for awesome devs like you haha
Kernel works great
Kernel has been working smoothly for me on Carbon Rom. I don't have Bluetooth audio stuttering anymore but I do still get sound stuttering (bluetooth as well as through phone speaker) in Plants vs Zombies 2. This stuttering also occurred in the stock kernel so it might be an app optimisation problem. I've tried other governors and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Thanks for the kernel mate.
About v7 on my ZR (CM11) :
- Impossible to undervolt (no tab on SetCPU)
- Very instable when overclocking. Phone freeze and reboot just after set max frequency.
