i'm doing an install on my 06 tacoma using my dell streak 7, since the battery life isn't very good im looking for a way to change the boot loader to boot the device whenever it has external power applied, my original droid would boot with external power and my optimus v does it now with the cyanogen mod rom it has so im sure it's possible. is there any current roms that do this? or any known method of changing this?

Hello all
I recently upgrade to an HTC TBolt but decided to keep my droid for mp3 playing since it has great battery life.
Well I went to download CM7 RC4 and the download always stopped I chalked this up to bad wifi signal no big deal. Downloaded the zip on computer moved it to the SD.
So not I go to boot into CWR and it wont, tried through CM7 reboot menu, rom manager, x + power, power + volume down still nothing.
The phone boots to moto logo site for a bit goes black and back to moto logo for a few seconds or so then goes right to CM7 bootlogo...
Tried a CWR reinstall didnt seem to work. Also rom manager wont install updated version and it wont install the alternative recovery...
Motorola Droid
CyanogenMod 7 RC2
Rom Manager 3.0.0.7
Clockwork Recovery 2.5.0.1
Any help with figuring this out would be great and thank you in advance.
I was wanting to speed up my Thrill so I decided to flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546103. After flashing it, my device is stuck at the LG logo and every 30 seconds or so, there is a quick staticy noise. Can someone please help? Im pretty sure I was on the latest Cyanogen rom and I have CWR touch installed. And since i am stuck at the LG logo, i have no sd card access I'm pretty sure. Also, all of my backups were accidently deleted without me noticing when i fixed a previous problem
That kernel isn't compatible with CM7. Reflash CM7 or a CM7 compatible kernel.

I recently bought a LG Optimus Black (LG-P970g is what it says under the battery). The phone came with Android 4.0.4. The battery life was terrible and I wanted to try Cyanogenmod to see if I could get better life (and more features).
I was able to root the phone and install ROM Manager. I went through the Flash ClockworkMod Recovery option and it said I successfully flashed it. I put the ROM on the SD card and had ROM Manager restart into recovery mode. However, instead of booting up I get the LG screen with 'Security Error' on it and then the phone shuts off.
How can I get the phone back up?
Resmartflash. Or try to access recovery via bootloader. Or adb reboot recovery. I think you flashed a gb rom on ics bootloader... which is not working.

I was able to use SmartFlash and a GB rom to get the phone back up and running. Now to see if I can get it up to cyanogenmod.
Hey Developers out there
I have a droid 4 that had SuperSU and I went to change the vm heap size to save battery this was my fault I accidentally changed it to 44m again my fault but it goes in boot loop when you turn it on It shows the mother board logo (Motorola symbol) then shuts off i've tried going to recovery mode and NOO. My brother said that I can force load roms to phones so I have a copy of cyanogenmod11 and cm has bulid properties and this should recover the phone.
PS. this was my plan to load cm11 on this phone so yea
please help!
Locked Bootloader, so only option is reflashing stock ROM

I have the Motorola droid hd xt926 with the Android 4.4.2. Update. I suddenly for unknown reasons have been reduced to having little more than an expensive paperweight. Upon startup the phone shows only an infinite glowing red eyeball with spinning lightning bolts. This goes on until the battery dies. I have discovered the recovery and ap fastboot modes. I have performed several cache clears and factory reset/wipe data selections only to get more stuck on red eye. When I press power+volume up and down then scroll down AP fast boot I am encouraged to see the battery ok and connect USB cable options. However I have not found instruction on what to do next specific to my device loaded with Android 4.4.2. So, since I'm stuck on the boot loader what can I do to reflash, refresh, repair, or reinstall the appropriate Android system? I have never rooted it and am unable to switch on USB dubugging because I'm stuck at eternal red eye. I think I am looking for a download of the respective Android image file and the necessary utilities to deliver it from my Windows 7 pc to my droid phone via fast boot mode and rsd6. Does anyone have a solution?
