Hey Guys!
I just wanted to mention here that I made a new app you guys might like. It lets you hide the tablet/system bar when in landscape mode! A lot of people have complained about not being able to do that, so I just wanted to point my app out here. I'm not really clear on the rules for duplicate posts for stuff like this, so I'll just link to the original thread in the general paid apps section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16850588
I tested this on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest update, so if you have that it should work. Though hopefully it works on all honeycomb tablets! I'm still trying to get my hands on some others...

Yeah, I wasn't even sure if any of the ROMS we have now have it. I just figured I would write the app anyway and see if anyone likes it.
And yeah, when the source hits I'm sure this won't be necessary, but that will probably be a few months away, so I figured it was worth it.
Worksgreat for me. Nice job

I posted this in the OP's linked thread but thought I would post it here as well.
A nice 'off screen' app that works with TabletBar Hider is Virtual button bar available in the market, works like a dream. It hides off screen and allows you to swipe to access Home, settings etc.
Lovin the fullscreen now!

I've made a couple of fixes to the original apk here and can now say that I have the newest YouTube app version 2.0.26 running flawlessly on my Epic.
Simply, uninstall the existing app pre-installed on your phone and install the attached apk, and your back in business with the latest YouTube app.
thanks a lot bro.. this version is 100x better.. wow.. just a note for those that cant install the stock youtube.. i had to delete the youtube.apk from the /system/app folder and replace it with this apk.. then restart.. works flawlessly
Wow, it's really much much better than the stock app and even better than the Evo YouTube. Thanks OP!
Thanks for this. Looks great. Mind if I add this in Epic Experience? I'll give you credit for sure.

Still very new to this, so how do I remove the pre-installed app ?
I just used root explorer to copy this file to /system/apps

Sorry guys, but I've been contacted by Swype and they've asked me to take it down, which I can wholeheartedly respect. They've said that they would release a beta version of it later this week to the registered testers. So I formally am going to take it down and request for the thread to be closed. I hope I was of some help.

No? I'm running unnamed 1.4 and Sculpted v2 with custom carrier and not a problem at all. 2 hours for me so far.
It allows gestures to open Twitter Facebook Google Maps, as well as copy, paste, cut, select all. It's just unique.

Yeah I think the OP's method enables the gestures because when I try to open google maps (using the gestures) (<edit: lol) the keyboard just closes(not a force close) I guess the lib edit give it the gestures update
Edit: I successfully ported the themeing from VIPERrom's swype sol to this one

Hi. Nice app.. i have one requeat that could make this app eaven more usable.
Either make widget for one touch system bar removel or make a shortcut for desktop to make a one touch system bar removal.
What do you think about that??
Great app as I said before.

The best solution would be, that the statusbar disappears, when you swipe down on the screen , and appears if you swipe up.

One other thing, i dont think its a good idea that you can swipe it up and down, because i like to remove my bar when the kid is playing with it.

Gesture Controlled operations for Android
I've been tired of everyone saying that Android is stale and it needs something like Ubuntu or BB10 Gesture control in next version, I do agree upto some extent but then, we already have an app that can do anything and everything for us. So I thought of making a tutorial, let's get started.
You'll need this app GMD GestureControl ★ root, best ~$6 I ever spent ($5.56 to be precise )
So all you need is that app, I've thought of making a long post describing how to use it but then I thought of sticking to a video. Here it is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPlJuOyZoQg
THIS VIDEO IS NOT MADE ON N4 THAT'S WHY IT LAGS! xD
The Other two apps are : -
Swipe pad
Glovebox
Glovebox looks a bit ugly and big because I recorded this video on a WVGA device, It should look alright on Nexus 4's 720p. I'm yet to receieve mine so had to make this video on my S2.
As you can see I did many mistakes, but there's huge potential in that app, checkout the video the developer posted. So this makes Android gestures waaayyy more customizable

It's super responsive, no lag in gestures, feels like gestures are part of the OS I can't even live without it. So thought of sharing.
Using this since it's thread on xda.
It's amazing when you also hide the navbar, it's like a no-button device..
I love it.
