Hey,
I realized that CM12 doesn't have that feature so I made a simple app for myself and want to share with you.
update: it is now using real size (including statusbar and navigation bar)
update: now supports cm13 too.

Great.. I was also developing the app for same purpose. But since it is my 1st attempt to build an app, most of the time goes in R&D.
yeah, I am also new to android development it tooks too much time to learn but I enjoy every minutes
by the way I accidentally removed the new app attacment it is up again
Great work!

not working without supersu?
I was not using this app since I bought a lg g3. today I've installed cm12.1 and I realized that app doesn't work without supersu installed even if root access granted from development settings. what could be causing this?

I've made a couple of fixes to the original apk here and can now say that I have the newest YouTube app version 2.0.26 running flawlessly on my Epic.
Simply, uninstall the existing app pre-installed on your phone and install the attached apk, and your back in business with the latest YouTube app.
thanks a lot bro.. this version is 100x better.. wow.. just a note for those that cant install the stock youtube.. i had to delete the youtube.apk from the /system/app folder and replace it with this apk.. then restart.. works flawlessly
Wow, it's really much much better than the stock app and even better than the Evo YouTube. Thanks OP!
Thanks for this. Looks great. Mind if I add this in Epic Experience? I'll give you credit for sure.

Works great although don't know if its me but when in portrait if I select a video and press back button to select another video it won't let me select another video unless I switch to landscape. Anyone else had this issue?
what does it do better than evos app?
nvm it is fantastic
Still very new to this, so how do I remove the pre-installed app ?
I just used root explorer to copy this file to /system/apps
You need root of course

I am getting the following error when I start the app:
"There was a problem starting up. Please check your network connection and system time."
Any ideas?
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to mention here that I made a new app you guys might like. It lets you hide the tablet/system bar when in landscape mode! A lot of people have complained about not being able to do that, so I just wanted to point my app out here. I'm not really clear on the rules for duplicate posts for stuff like this, so I'll just link to the original thread in the general paid apps section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16850588
I tested this on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest update, so if you have that it should work. Though hopefully it works on all honeycomb tablets! I'm still trying to get my hands on some others...

Yeah, I wasn't even sure if any of the ROMS we have now have it. I just figured I would write the app anyway and see if anyone likes it.
And yeah, when the source hits I'm sure this won't be necessary, but that will probably be a few months away, so I figured it was worth it.

A nice 'off screen' app that works with TabletBar Hider is Virtual button bar available in the market, works like a dream. It hides off screen and allows you to swipe to access Home, settings etc.
Lovin the fullscreen now!

Tried the trial version and very impressed but cannot find the paid version. The link you supplied just gives an error.

Too bad this doesn't work with the MZ601. International 3G Zoom.
Sorry guys, but I've been contacted by Swype and they've asked me to take it down, which I can wholeheartedly respect. They've said that they would release a beta version of it later this week to the registered testers. So I formally am going to take it down and request for the thread to be closed. I hope I was of some help.

Won't this not work if you have a rom with 8-lock (or ACS, or anything that changes th carrier pulldown)? And what's so special about Nexus S's swype?

No? I'm running unnamed 1.4 and Sculpted v2 with custom carrier and not a problem at all. 2 hours for me so far.
It allows gestures to open Twitter Facebook Google Maps, as well as copy, paste, cut, select all. It's just unique.

Yeah as in the installer. It works for devices legitimately on sprint, but it could work on other carriers perhaps. I can't test it myself.

Well, I followed theduce and just installed the apk from Astro and it works perfect so far and looks much better. Maybe its because I didn't have a Swype on my phone before. Does changing permissions enable more features?

Yeah I think the OP's method enables the gestures because when I try to open google maps (using the gestures) (<edit: lol) the keyboard just closes(not a force close) I guess the lib edit give it the gestures update
Edit: I successfully ported the themeing from VIPERrom's swype sol to this one

Now I am confused...lol. I just tried it on Google Maps and Google+ and it works fine. What are these gesture shortcuts? I can confirm this is working fine on non-Sprint devices - Using a Galaxy S II in New Zealand. Thanks much for the upload and tutorial, I have native Swype and am a beta tester, but this version worth the latest features and elegant theme is delightful.

Hi guys!
Here is the signed APK of the stock LG keyboard ported from ICS v30A. LG version is "2.1.90.12-stable-release" and this one has finally swype!
It is signed, so you need to install it like a simple app. I tested it in tonyp's CM10.1 and works like a charm! :good:
Let me know your thoughts!
[EDIT] Uploaded build 2 that fixes handwriting FCs.
Download (build 2):
Dropbox
Been using this for a long time on CM10 too, but damn boy, it FCs a lot! Random FC'ing at random tmes. Need to clear data and re-set the settings, language etc. after every FC. Could work a lot better if that was fixed
For me it FC's only if I use handwriting option... Otherwise it works great.... Using it on tonyp's CM 10.1...

Working great mate  Thanks for the fully working ICS KB. Currently writing this with handwriting mode A little feature request though. Could you add some standard symbols to the unused buttons (or at least some of them) in the symbols pane with 4 of them being the 4 directional (arrow) keys

Hmmm, curious little thing. I don't have google+ account attached to play store, so i can't question it in the review section but someone can than he/she should. In the mean time do what i did, don't give the permisson, that makes no sense whatsoever.

As i stated it is a simple launcher and it's very new. It will have more feauters and bugfixes. But let's hope it would stay simple. Since there are countless complicated ones, no need for another of that kind.

I denied the request. It still shows and adds the widgets from there. No matter what for i don't think it would be crucial. Better safe than sorry. If i come across some error because of root rights i'll write here.
