I'm not sure. Are you interested in trying cyanogenmod? Goto cyanogen's website and download 6.1.1 or the latest cyan7 which is gingerbread. I heard it's stable now for nexus and the wonk issue is gone.
I voided my warranty.

yes im , but i wanna know why my phone does like that . so i wanna look in stock then go to cm7
thanks ;D
There should be no reason to reinstall stock 2.3.4 (it is installed into a read-only partition, so it can't be changed and is the same as when you got the phone updated to 2.3.4). All you should need to do is do a Factory Reset/Data Wipe. That will take you completely back to stock.

First of all,hi all, newbies here.. Bought my O2X for about a month n flashed a few custom roms..question is,i read somewhere that 'restoring data' after flashing roms can cause battery drain issue,is that mean restoring thru recovery or titanium backup? I always use titanium backup n restore app only, afraid of the batt drain issue, but it gets annoying coz i need to set up everything again.(account login, settings).

Only restore "user apps", not system data when coming from another rom.
Sometimes restoring user apps WITH data can cause problems, like batterydrain. For example when going from froyo to gingerbread.

not really, when staying on froyo rom (MCR Kitchen for example), just flash over new rom, you will keep your data ...
when flashing new baseband -> also just restore backup in CWM
when changing to CM, i would recommend using titanium or mybackup pro to restore your apps (exclude system apps in backup, cause they are different !)
but when you´re staying on CM , just flash new rom, you will keep your data !

yes !!
i came from fr14 to fr18b2 without wiping anything !
i would only wipe once when you plan to move to cm, but when you stay on MCR based roms, just reflash rom and enjoy !

Fear, BlazingDragon, they are all based on MCR, so it shouldn´t be a problem ...
just try out, in worst case, when facing a bootloop or some other problems, you can wipe anyway afterwards ...
so it´s good to have a "titanium" or "mybackuppro" backup for worst case
Ok thanks dude!

I want to start using CM7 on my O2X, but a bit scared about the nightly's. I want something that is stable and that i can count on.
When do you think CM7 will enter beta? stable? Is it months? Weeks? 6 Months like LG is using to give us gingerbread? hehe.
Nothing to be scared of ;-)
Seriously, I've been using CM7 since build 40, and haven't experienced any serious trouble. No reboots, or loss of sound. Browsing is fast. Actually quite stable!

OK thanks
But can i update from nightly to nightly? And from nightly to beta and so on? Will i loose settings and app settings?
Yes you can, you don't lose anything.

Aslong as you dont wipe, all you need to do is flash over the the previous version of CM7
What about basebands and stuff? Is that included with CM7? Or do i have to patch and upgrade that myself?
You just download the latest build. Open up CWM, wipe your phone, flash the file you downloaded (you will also need the optional google apps addon) and you're good to go. You don't need to think about baseband unless you experience problems with communication.
And when a new build is out, you just flash it with CWM WITHOUT wiping. Every now and then it wouldn't hurt to wipe /system before installing new build though..
if I could, I would do it asp, but I'm having problems rooting my lg optimus 2x
Hmm... I just tried to install CM7 #47.
But after the backup of the current ROM, I just get an "!" as an icon and the phone restarts and im off to stock LG rom again.
What is happening??

Dodgy ROM download. Something that's happened to me a few times. Re download the zip and try again. BTW the latest nightly is very stable.

The problem is in cwm, because your download will be saved to the internal sd-card, but cwm can't read from the internal sd-card. Copy the clockworkmod directory to the root of your external sd-card, and try again.

just try, cm7 is stable now even nightly
and the most important thing is the battery drain issue has gone!~~

haha i've been using it as a daily since the second build... you gotta push trough the hard times.....
yeah just try it, it is stable enough now.
I managed to install it yey!
But now i cant see my external sd card :-( how do i get it back?
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk
You can see it, it's in /sdcard.
It's the internal one that's gone walkabout, it's in /mnt/emmc.
Ah thanks
But where are the apps installed from marked (the path)? They are installed in the internal right?
I was restoring some apps from titanium but they didnt show up in the marked again, so i redownloaded them after the restore. Is that ok?
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk
Most apps will install in /data/app, the few that default to SD are in /sdcard/.android_secure
Did you have the 'market link' option ticked in TB? If not, that will explain the lack of things showing in the Market.
Application data goes to external SD card, and the internal is useless the way it's mounted.

So in cwm I forgot to clear the cache and factory reset when I installed a new rom (from 2.3 to 4.0) but I did not get a bootloop. So the phone is working, should I still reinstall and clear it?
No

I'd still recommend doing a full wipe.
You don't want to get in some sort of trouble in the future and think... Would this issue not occur if I wiped clean?...
(Especially since you're coming from 2.3 to 4.0. I assume it's CM7 to CM9?)

Hi, I know this is probably a real noobie question, but I have only just recently flashed CM9 and used it for a few days. Now I have a few apps that I have been using a lot, but I would like to move to nightlys. Would I have to use VRWipe or something similar to wipe out the current build I have, or can I flash Nightlies right over my current build without wiping anything? What is the best way to go rom CM9, to CM9 Nightly?

backup
You should however get into the habit of using a backup software. Titanium backup works real well.
Hey guys. I was using the Stock firmware 2.3.4 so i thought of spicing things up. I installed PA for SU-660 (mine is the SU-660).
It flashed successfully but it had some bugs
Anyway I did a NANDROID BACKUP which I had made. It restores completely but it doesn't boots up. Brings me the LG Logo (with the PITCH BLACK BACKGROUND) and then turns off and back at it again infinitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What did I do wrong?
I wiped the Data/Cache/Dalvik Cache etc before and after doing the backup
Please tell me a fix for this. Thank You!

I don't think the NanDroid Backup is broken. As I have restored my data like 2 or 3 times from that same file and the other 1 time before (I have 2 backups).
I think the problem is with the "Downgrading" procedure. Its strange as I have looked around I haven't seen any case like that...
Btw I can reflash the PA ROM for SU660 though. And I think I can flash between the ICS ROMs.
So a Simple Solution at this point will be:- Do u know any STABLE ICS Custom ROM for the SU660?
Thanks
