I recently upgraded my VZW GTab to 2.3.4 using the stock but rooted ROM from oldman. Everything seems to be working well except that the first time i booted it up and wiped the data and cache, when wiping the data i got an error about not being able to mount /preload (I assume to format it). Does anybody know what is in that partition and if this might be a problem?

I really hate starting new thread but I've searched this for a couple days and I can't figure out why after I wipe and flash to a new rom my apps2sd don't work my second partition just stops working. I repartition then flashed a new rom it worked but when I wipe and flash w/o reformating I run into the same problem. Its not mounting for some reason. I've even unrooted and re-rooted and it still does the same thing. I'm gonna need some help with this one
I bought a galaxy tab 7 cdma sprint model on eBay. It already had an older cm9 (4.0.3) installed, but thought it was a verizon device. so i tried to go back to stock with ODIN, and it said it all flashed correctly. However, after rebooting into the stock recovery, it gave a bunch of cache errors (unable to mount cache, rfs format failed). I tried re-partitioning with the files from the sprint development thread, i've tried it multiple times and it still happens. after flashing CWM recovery, it does not see the SD card and also cannot mount cache. I can boot into the system and everything, but cannot upgrade it at all.
is the internal memory screwed?
any advice would be appreciated!
I rooted my S3 Mini (GT-I8190N) and went to flash CM10 beta2 on it. After I flashed it, I realized that I had forgotten to wipe the cache, dalvik cache and factory reset. I went to seek advice on the net, but being me, I misinterpreted it, therefore (noob alert) booting into CWM and formatting /system, /data, /preload, /efs, etc etc. Now, when I boot up my phone, It just shows me the S3 Mini sign and stays like that. Help? (Sorry for being a noob)
Nevermind
Well... I found the solution. I just needed to reflash the kernel. Thanks anyways
So I've got an HTC One on T-Mo. The CM10.1 nightly build (8/1) I had installed worked fine for a while.
Yesterday, it rebooted on its own a few times, and each time, everything I'd done since around 7 AM decided to undo itself. Texts I received went missing, apps un-updated, files on internal storage erased themselves. Every time I reboot the phone, it undoes whatever I've done. Rebooting into recovery deletes whatever zip I meant to flash!
So I already had one of the GE ROMs on internal storage. Thought I'd try flashing that. So I went into CWM, formatted /system and /data, flashed the GE ROM, wiped Dalvik, the whole deal. When I rebooted, I was once again greeted with CM10.1 the way I'd left it yesterday morning.
Restoring from a backup doesn't work either.
Tried to flash TWRP over CWM through ADB, rebooted recovery, and it's still CWM.
I'm at a loss. I can't wipe or flash or put files on my phone. Any ideas?

Hello,
I just installed a custom ROM on my GFs Samsung Galaxy S3 mini but i notice that her GPS aint working at all.
She already told me on stock ROM it didnt work so i thought installing a fresh ROM could fix it.
I already checked everything but even outside where my GPS on my HTC One X+ has a fix in 10 seconds here's doesnt even find anything in like 10minutes, and probably even longer if i wait
Anyone know what i can do to fix here GPS?
Thanks!
Hi, why don't you try reinstalling a custom rom Dmod for example (it's the one everyone use) or whatever other rom even stock, but before that do a full wipe in recovery wipe cache, then go to advance and wipe dalvik cache, in mounts and partitions format system, data and cache and finally wipe data factory reset after that flash the rom and try to see if gps still does not work. Greetings hope it work.
