So anyone have any problems playing YouTube? It won't work in the app and the browser. Here is a list that I renamed, none of these should cause an issue. Haven't tried before root, recently anyway.

system/app/CitrixReceiver.apk.1 /system/app/VCASTVideo.apk.1
system/app/IMPresence.apk.1 /system/app/VCAST_TONES_4_5_7.apk.1
system/app/Kindle.apk.1 /system/app/VCast.apk.1
system/app/MyVerizon.apk.1 /system/app/VZWIM.apk.1
system/app/NFLMobile.apk.1 /system/app/VZWInstaller.apk.1
system/app/NewBayVault_4.2.99.36.Market.apk.1 /system/app/Vvm.apk.1

One of the nicer tablet optimized apps featured in the Market is the CNN for Android app. Unfortunately, for those of us who have rooted our Xooms, for some reason we cannot play video through the app and get a "CNN Video is not available offline. Please connect to a network and try again" message when we try to play video.
Presumably if there is something about rooting that causes this problem, then it is something with a reasonably easy solution. Unfortunately, I have no clue as to what that solution is. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get video working in this app?
Not sure why its not working for you, but its works find for me rooted with 1.4 cybertronic_p6 kernel..
Yeah, it's working with my own kernels, too (essentially the Moto Stock kernel HR166 with the Tiamat Overclock patches and all the latest upstream stuff).
I can't see how rooting and/or updated kernels could mess with that. Now, your init files (part of the "boot.img" that actually enables root) could be missing something that the video section requires.
Can you play embedded videos from any other source?
Do you have adfree installed? As soon as I uninstalled that, the videos started working again.

Click to collapse
Yes I do, I thought that might have been what was causing the problem. I don't want to uninstall AdFree. Any idea which host I can delete from the hosts.txt file created by AdFree to get it working?
has anyone had any problems trying to open the youtube apps while running Overcome Version 4.0.0? I just noticed it today that when I click on the app it doesn't open and in the market it says its not compatible with this device.

Hi,
I have an annoying mobogenie.apk download problem for a few days. It's start on xda forum page. Now it can happens 5-6 times for a day even if I'm off-line. I am so annoyed by this stupid app. I can say that it's not just a website, but a lot of websites. Download the file automatically without permissions. I use my stock browser on galaxy s with latest CM11. Some times it downloads when I open play store application.
Safe mod doesn't works to prevent this problem. AVG search not found any mallisious situation.
Have can I solve this annoying problem?
Thanks in advance.
Adblock plus for android fixes it. Just make sure that you have set it up correctly. Instructions are on the site

Chrome at least asks whether you want to download the file or not...

I have formatted the /system folder and installed new nightly, instead of installing a new application. This temporarily solves my problem.
Hi,
I have a Mi9 with the latest stable MIUI.EU. When I try to open any media app, like Spotify or Deezer, through Android Auto, the media app fails to open with a message like:
Spotify doesn't seem to be working at the moment
All the permissions have been gave and there is no battery restriction.
When using the official global rom, all things work as they should.
Someone knows how to solve this?
Tks
EDIT: Solved! Just after posting here I've found this link https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/14721161?hl=en with the solution
