Sorry for another thread asking for the most stable ROM, but i don't understand much of the technical stuff. I am searching for a fast and stable ROM for my X1.
My last visit was long ago so everything i know now would been out of date i ques.
EDIT: If a mod reads this, can he fix the typo in the title? Thanks!
Dynamics has been the most stable for me. 826x is quite stable as well. And both are quite fast, Dynamics comes with an overclock (that can be shut off) to make things more snappier.

Thanks, but can you give me a link to them? I think i can't find them or I am doing something wrong. Can Dynamics be in Dutch too?
Dynamics - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951694
826x - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734175
no idea on the dutch thing
dynamics is currently 2 threads down from yours... 826x a bit further...
can't or don't want to find them?!
if you want dutch-dynamics, you'll have to use the kitchen of it and add dutch language files (involves a bit of search and learning). problem is rather with translation of sense addon-stuff (album and such stuff, not sense itself!), should you build such a rom.
and could a mod please move this to Q&A?!

I love 826X. Stable and fast enough for me.
I've been using 826x for quite a while and i've been really satisfied with it, u can give it a try.. whatever u choose best of luck...
Dynamics IMO
i have tried many custom rom,,,826x is one i like for my x1 but i think the best and stable for my x1 is official rom wm 6.1,,,
Just try 826x roms.
It's quite stable and fast for me
personally
i've tried them all and I thought 826x was the best but I just recently tried
Russell Eclairs new x2pure rom AND IT BLOWS IT OUTTA THE WATER
i have tweaked it to my needs and its beyond the best
not as pretty icons and startmenu but its by far the fastest and smoothest

There are two things you have to do before you can find one!
1. Read!!
2. Flash!! Until you find the right one for you....
Good luck, and WB.

ive tried a few and sofar they arent what im looking for. between work and school i dont have the time to load all the roms out there and benchmark, im just asking for user comparisons between roms witouth having to go thru 50+ pages of replies to a release thread.
I tried energy fusion and Miri's rom and thus far Miri's is the cleanest fastest ROM ive used IMO and just as Miri stated in the post he doesn't add anything extra that he doesn't feel is necessarry. I'm rather new to the scene so i'm getting used to it but Miri's so far is definitely my favorite
miri's roms are clean and bug-free

My suggestion would be ROMeOS by Monx.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=560899
He has his version 1.4 available for the public.
However if you like the rom, you can make a donation and gain access to the upgraded roms he has made since then.
The most current version is 1.11 (again, only available to supporters)
But in my honest opinion, it has been the most stable, kibble free rom out there so far.
If you are looking for a clean ROM as in no TF3D then I suggest you try my Lite ROMs
Suggestions
I think you need to make a initial decision to what you want first.
No Touchflo3d, TF3D 2.1 or TF3D2.5.
I personally like Atomang's approach. A OEM look with tweaked setting for speed and stability. I like to install all the eye candy and cabs myself. So that might be the a good direction for you.
His v3.7 wm6.5 w/tf3d 2.1 was outstanding. Bloody fast with stability to boot. I am currently testing his v4.0 beta release2 with tf3d 2.5 and it is fast. Most importantly is that I can consider them for daily use.
Bottom Line: If this is your first "Cooked ROM" install. Try v3.7 wm6.5 w/ tf3d2.1.
If you really don't have the time then I'd stick with Miri's 2.1 V3.0 of 25th Sept
Clean and simple and no memory leak/battery issues or bugs

Going to have to agree here. Miri's 3.0 release of his Manila 2.1 ROM has been the fastest and most stable ROM I've flashed yet. There is no more annoying time zone pop-up, the memory management is incredible and you get the bleeding edge Manila with weather on the homescreen. I also appreciate the OEM look and the ability to customize the ROM the way I see fit.
Dave! Where are you? LOL

I know there are very similar threads just like this but I just wanted to know from everyone's experience, what is the fast ROM with a build of Windows 6.5.1? You know, with the start menu down at the bottom and the fancy contact manager and all that. You may not like it yourself but that is what I am looking for. As much as I would love to use UnOff for speed and battery life, it just uses a build that doesn't quite work for me.
So far from my personal experience Valkirie v4.5.502LEO was very fast and I could just turn off manila. But really this is the only one i've tried so maybe there is something better out there. Anyone know of a really fast stable 6.5.1? and which is the best build? 23502? Thanks
Christians rom's for me is great.. fast and smooth
I second that. Christians ROM is excellent. I have been using the clean version for 3 months now and I have never been more pleased with my X1

Hi all, not sure if this is going to be one of those threads that gets deleted or moved, but hey its the 'rom' people I want opinions from
Ive been using Onkologs 6.5 superlite rom from way back in May, and all this time its been super fast and super stable through all my day to day use and work.
But things move on and so does the software and tweaks etc...esp looking thru some of the recent roms posted here.
Now I've just tried a couple of the roms posted here with all the upto date stuff and what I have thought would be fast and stable roms, but sadly they dont hold a candle to the speed and stability of Onkologs old rom.
Now I know his roms were quite popular, so was just wondering what other people are currently using as a replacement and any opinions really Has somebody created a rom as clean and fast but with the new software?
Cheers
Mick
Good question - same problem here.
I too enjoyed the clean, fast, and not pre-customized roms from Onkolog.
Since his retire I've been using first Miri's, then Nrg's for a while, atractive but full of clutter, then returned to Miri's Standard, since I didn't feel much of a difference with his own XtraLight, until I found Xanny's, Its stable, great looking and up-to-date.
Lately, I always try the last Miri Standard and the last Xanny without HTC Messaging, Miri's is cleaner, but Xanny's is nicier, if only he would cook a version without Manila I'll be happier.
Just my opinion..
Regards and Merry Christmass to all,

Kwbr's Topix roms are always a save bet. They still sport the manila 2.1 version, so they are more stable then the 2.5 roms out there. Besides that Kwbr has been able to make a rom that is able to withstand quite some messing around without crashing .
He has a WM6.1 version which is really fast, but his WM6.5 version is also something you should try for a while!
They are not as clean or lite as onkolog's, but they are stable and fast! And to be honest, his additions/tweaks to the rom are in no way a downside of the rom

I totally agree.
I use kwbr's Topix WM6.1 for my normal business use, and have been doing that for more than 7 months ( I was also a former Onkolog user, still remember his april 19? version, still have the complete backup somewhere).
Topix is a superstable and fast rom, and it's fantastic to use.
I like WM6.1 better than his new WM6.5 versions.
Now and then I go on holiday or more easy work abroad, and that's the time to try other roms. I've tried many, and now I'm testing Xanny's Grid 1.6 280011 rom, and I like what I see, a beauty right out of the box.
But is it stable enough for everyday use ? Time will show.
topix
i vote topix super fast super stable and working until the next version of his rom...From Greece with Respect have nice Holidays and Merry Christmas...
Think your always going to get different responses on this. So far you have been told to try Miri's, Xannys and now topix. Best thing to do is go try them. This thread will continue to grow with people suggesting different rom chefs as each person has their own personal favourite.
As I said, go try and make your own conclusion of whats nearest to Onkolog and best for you, as in the end, only you can make this decision

hi all
please i want to know from the experts who has X1 or who upgrade X1 to WM6.5 , what is the advantages and disadvantages of the upgrading ?
what happened ?
does the phone got slow ?
does the battery runs out fast ?
please advice me before i do any thing ?
i please you all
thank you so much waiting your soonest reply
best regards
Hmm, after running WM6.5.5 for a while I guess I can share my experiences with you.
The biggest advantage I think is userinterface. After you have played with WM6.5.5 for a while you will find WM6.1 old and crappy and actually useless, lol. The renewed userinterface really makes things a lot better and more finger friendly, especially if you combine it with Sense 2.5. I haven't used the pen anymore since I've upgraded to WM6.5.5
WM6.5.5 itself doesn't make your phone run slow. Only I do think the battery usage was a bit better on WM6.5.5, but I'm not sure... it's been a while ago.
I run WM6.5.5 in combination with Sense 2.5, which does make the phone a bit slower. However I prefer Sense 2.5 much over the aditional speed without Sense 2.5
please read several threads
theres more advantages than disadvantages thats for sure,
Normal xperia firmware had some basic functions compared to cooked roms,
as i noticed on energy's rom and Touch-IT BR <> Sense 2.5 speed and stability increased alot, as well as programs
im currently using Touch-IT_BR_23547 and battery last just as long as the stock firmware and is more friendly for fingers since i lost my stylus
its best to try several roms to find one to make it more convenient and less frustration to use in terms of accessing a program and its reliability when you really need it
you need to read a couple of threads to understand and gain confidence when you flash her, of else you wont get anywhere,

you lost 2 stylus'es? damn
what about the pure WM6.5 (not cooked or customized ) , is it will be stable , fast and the battery will be the same as the original rom WM6.1 ?
thanks all gus
No, i dont think so.
The thing is there is not any 6.5 room for X1, just cooked room. Therefore, cooker have to modify the room in order to keep it stable on X1. So some rooms like Infinity or X1.5 is a good choice for you.
- Stable
- Fast
- Best battery comsume (your battery will last longer)
- Infinity has pure 6.5 interface
I used to hate 6.5 roms. Found them too slow, but after flashing this 826x rom, i changed my opinion. Its really quick. Battery last quite long but not as long as stock rom I guess. For best results you should use task29 then flash a stock rom then this rom. You can get the 826x roms from here http://http://826x.blogspot.com/

Ditto. Williyung's 6.5.5 826X ROMs are basically perfect. Highly highly recommended. Stability is probably even better that stock ROM. Speed and battery are the same. Finger friendliness is improved, as everyone mentions.

Yes, Im using Williy's ROMs as well and it was the first WM 6.5 I actually liked. I don't like sense. Its messing things up too much.
The only advantage left is speed for WM 6.1. One gotta know what's wanted...
Hi,
I recently downloaded the Xperileo rom off the xperia-unoff site.
I love the rom, its got a great interface and features. I really like the graphics of this rom and Id like to keep something like this, I think its called sense or manilla. I really dont know though its confusing.
There is one or twos problem however.
1. The phone keeps freezing, requiring me to open the back of it and use the reset button. This is dangerous as if my family calls, I may not receive the call. This absolutely needs fixing. Is there a stable rom that will not freeze or have these problems that has the same type of scrolling or a really nice GUI like this one I am using ?
2. The other problem is that the interface is pretty slow, with text messaging being really slow to respond, and menus freezing for a few seconds.
If someone could recommend a stable but attractive rom I would be very appreciative. Stability and usability are top.
Thanks
Christof
You gotta test yourself a couple of ROMs. That's the best answer.
I've tried almost every rom here.
Energy and Valkyrie are both overbloated and unstable. Xperileo is unstable as well. Almost every rom with manila sense is unstable slow and rendering it almost unusable.
Try the 826x rom, it's the best one and has most stability i've seen in a rom. ♥
Also touch x is pretty good if your looking for absolute speed on manila.

u sound like me a couple of years back..anyways..Wildchild's ROM (Unavailable here on XDA) is by far the most stable Manila (now called Sense UI) ROM.
However if u dont want a Sense UI (HTC phone interface), i would suggest XPURE III OR II.
PM me if u still have problems.
All the best.
the best solution for your problem is use the original r3a rom.fastest rom whithout any bug .stable .I've tried all xda roms, after that I back to r3a rom.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the replies I do appreciate it.
It sounds like Manilla is a bit unstable, which is not safe for me.
What about windows 6.5. Whats the most stable or a very stable rom with nice icons? Dont care about the manilla stuff compared to stability. Just need something that never freezes.
Thanks again
Cheers
Christof
You CAN have pretty stable Sense/Manilla interface ROMs.
It's just that they are pretty much hit or miss. One version can be stable and reliable and another, issued 3 days later (and having replaced the earlier version) can be a mess.
I just recently started flashing ROMs and my experiences have been good so far. I have mostly played with the beautiful ENERGY ROMs and some have been good, some bad.
The Sense UI may not be a speed demon, but is gorgeous and works (although something like SPB Mobile Shell might be faster - not as good looking though). But the true differnce for me is in the speed of programs running. For me they work MUCH faster under ENERGY ROMs then on the stock ROM. This is most noticable with my GPS software which was slow, laggy and unstable under stock ROM, while is very reliable and works great under ENERGY ROMs.
My advice is to just find a good ROM that suits you and keep it, rather then enter the constant reflashing cycle. Some Sense ROMs are very stable.

I find Russell Eclair XPure II to be a little slow compared with jerpelea's X2 port.
The only issue I have with jerpelea's ROM is the first times someone is calling me. I can' answer the phone and I have to pull out the battery. But after 1-2 days it works like a champ (without using Slideview, the X2 addition to panels).
If you want something fast and stable look for a clean ROM (like Laurenti's ROM, 23.08.2010 version used for 2 weeks with no problem, and really fast) or R3A ROM.
Cheers!

I still maintain that Touch X 10.1 is the best rom out there.
It does exactly what I need. Great battery life, great speed and never had a freeze or SOD with it (EVER!).
Yes the graphics are a little outdated but I am willing to put up with that in exchange for the 3 above.
