Hi,
I have a problem with my phone, Original LG Optimus 2x SU660, and I have flashed it with an ROM, using nvflasher, but i was not informed that it is for P990. Now the screen become not touchable and the menu keys are not working.
What I am wondering if there is nvflasher bundle with a ROm that is using the Original ROM for LG Optimus 2x SU660. So I can flash the phone in recovery mode, (Pressing simultaneously the up and down volume button), and get back to the original ROM which has a TV and Radio Application.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. But I have the problem that the screen is not touchable therefore I can't enable the debugging mode.
I think that guide is overstating things, pretty sure when I used a KDZ I just booted into Update Mode (battery out, hold vol- and plug in USB) and went for it.
You could also use smartflash instead. Here are a few roms. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942830
Probably little easier then kdz. But as Rusty! is saying, enabling usb debugging is really not needed.
Edit: Just had a thought that maybe the P990's smartflash-dll isn't working on the SU660. It should work, just don't update baseband to be sure it doesn't break something (becouse that's where they are the most different) or just use the kdz as Rusty! suggested first.

Hi
I'm helping out a friend, which O2X I have rooted and flashed WIUI on to (I previously owned one myself too)
For some reason the phone started to get hot after a while and used up the battery fast, until one day where he couldn't even turn it on again.
Now, he has been trying to fix it himself with NVflash, but no luck, so now its up to me and you guys.
I have used the smartflash tool and flashed the EURO OPEN stock ROM and everything went succesfull, but when the phone reboots, the LG logo appears, and it bootloops.
I tried both with battery and no battery in, but still no cigar.
Any suggestions what I should try next?
PS: If I try to turn on the phone normally, nothing happens. not even a blink from the screen, but I can get into S/W mode and APX
Try lg update tool, choose recover as option, then choose imei as entrance

EDIT: The software says the update is not compatible (dunno if translation is correct, but you get the point)
Update is aborted :/
No more suggestions on what to do?
Tried:
NVflash
Smartflash (Flashed EURO OPEN rom)
LG Update tool (recover function)
The phone still won't boot.
Smartflash is the only solution like you said that the phone can boot in s/w mode try to dig some answer in smartflash thread or search in google i know you can find some answer there

Assuming you have carried out the procedures correctly, looks like this device is actually defective. Probably not what you want to hear, I know, but...
Before giving up completely, you can NVFlash it again (using the original 10C NVFlash from Modaco) and post the log here. Wouldn't get my hopes up though.
Hi,
I tried upgrading my LG-P999 from Android 2.2.2 to Jelly Bean by installing cm-9.9.9-JB-p999-2.zip on the internal storage and then running that file from there, the phone rebooted and is stuck on LG logo screen now.
Can someone please advise how to fix this problem?
Thank you.

Does every phone has it's own specific NVFlash and ROM? I have downloaded one from modacoDOTcom/topic/335474-25-mar-nvflash-stock-rom-release-v10b-dated-1300166062-15032011/ .... 2x-nvflashdrivers.zip and 2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash.zip .... do you think it will work with p999 as well ?

You do realize this is the P990 forum, right? The suggested solution posted above is for P990 devices. You need to check the G2X (P999) forums instead.

Guys, thank you very much for your help. I flashed my phone and it is working now in a sense that its no longer freezing at LG logo. I can see the menu, wifi is working great however its not connecting to wireless network. I believe its due to the fact as DummerMuppet mentioned that I flashed it with 990 and have to look for 999.
I truly appreciate your help and support at least my phone is alive now.

That's correct. Even when they're practically identical in most stuff, the P990 and P999 are not the same device (eg. partitions are slightly different, if I remember correctly). P990 ROMs won't work on P999, and viceversa.
Is it possible to make a downgrade to my rom só i can restart to use new cm nightlies

I dont think you can just downgrade with smartflash tools. V30 has a locked ICS bootloader if im correct and apparently my O2X bootlooped when i did that. Now i stuck and even NVFLASH fails
i downgraded my v28g to v20s with smartflash
Thats the answer....
Use Nvflash i downgraded many times from v28a,g,v30a down to v20 or cyanogen mod Its the savest way.
Im form germany... only found the german forum but the zips of nvflash work very well use it:

Anyway although I doubt smartflash could work for my case, I decided to give it try and flash V20B rom (starhub) via the .fls and .bin files method. It gave me an error when it was about to partition the "7 partitions". So i exited and unplug my phone as the SW upgrade screen on my phone turned to a blank screen. I wanted to try again and plug back holding the VOL DOWN button to enter SW mode. I heard the Windows sound notification (when a device is plugged or unplugged) as i do so but the screen was still blank. So i checked the device manager screen and saw that i entered the NVFLASH recovery mode.
Im confused as to how it would work now but anyway i was grateful to your post and that made me give smartflash a try still.:good:
the easiest way in your situation is using this [TOOL] Full Brick Repair (Clean & Easy)
It's nvflashable and already includes a CM10 nightly. Boot it up and upgrade CM10 with the built in upgrader. That's what I did yesterday. Then boot into recovery and flash gapps.

Did you try to hold the - key down while plugging in a usb? (pull out your battery) if that succeeds then you should use kdz flash tool to revert and AIO Tool by OS_Hacking to get a proper recovery.
Hi,
I’m trying to upgrade my Wind Mobile Optimux 2x from 2.2 to Android 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod Nightlies). The Clockworkmod identifies my phone as LG G2X; I tried to manually select Optimus 2x but flash recovery failed. I kept it as LG G2X but each time that I tried to flash with a P990 ROM (Optimux 2x), it was unsuccessful and I had to factory reset it by pressing Power and volume down key.
This time, I selected P999 ROM (LG G2X) as I read that it’s the same as Optimus 2x for T-Mobile...but now it stuck at the LG logo (with blue/purple background lines) and pressing Power and down key doesn’t work anymore and it stops at logo again instead of resetting.
If I hold the volume down key until second LG screen, it shows: S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading... and it stops there forever...
What should I do to resolve the problem? And is there a way to go back to factory setup mode?
Thanks

First of all, check the sticker under your battery for whether your phone P990 or not. Please let me know what type of phone do you have P999 or P990

It's P999. I spend several hours to research about it and tried different applications...One-Click-G2x-recovery-flasher-04-28-12 and CWM_5.0.2.8_P999 cannot flash the device and give the partition download fail error, maybe because I previously used AIO-P990-ToolKit_v5.6 to nvflash it as APX drivers are installed and USB cable is working well. I tried different custom recovery versions using AIO, ICS-cwm-6.0.3.1, ICS-cwm-6.0.2.5 (before knowing that I have to use G2X), ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e and ICS-cwm-5.0.2.0 but was not able to flash it as it goes back to recovery mode after rebooting, instead of running the new O/S.

I can do for you a nvflash for your p999. It will recreat all partitions and etc and will flash cwm p999 recovery to your device. Search custom roms on the optimus g2x forums. It will take some time since i have to download a stock p999 rom and gather the necessary files
Download my attachment and run flash.bat. It repartitionate your phone to p999 layout and flash cwm as well. Do not flash p990 custom roms with cwm to your phone, because p990 and p999 partition layout is different.

Thank you for your reply. I finally could flash it using G2XCleanUpBatch5028. It turned out that CM7 unlike what I thought is 2.3.7 not 4.x and I already found some problems in it...I'm trying to find the original Wind Mobile ROM and a way to install it back on my phone to keep it as my factory reset backup to return back to it in case that I could not find a reliable custom ROM.
By the way, I'm wondering what's the difference between your attachment and the one (G2X_V21E_00_NVFlash) that comes with 450MB ext3_system.img file?

My version of nvflash I skipped the system image, because I assumed that you are going to flash a custom rom. So that 445 mb differnce is teh missing android OS.
You can find your original rom at http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=0000000000000000 , replace the zeroes with your IMEI number. It will give you the download link for your current stock rom. It is in kdz format. If you having troubles flashing kdz, then give me the link to your kdz and I am going to make you a nvflash rom from that.
