Hi,
I am using O2X V10d stock rom and I am unable to update some of my apps which I had moved to my external sdcard even though I have plenty of space in my sd card. I have no issues for updating apps which are install on my internal sdcardAnyone has the same problem?
Thanks
Update your market to 3.13
Updated my Market to 3.1.3. Still no good. Shows message " Couldn't install on USB Storage or SD card"
A workaround (not a solution) is to move that app from sd to internal and update from market.

Any app that I've moved to the SD will now not update. The update will download but when it tries to install it says "Installation unsuccessful".
If I move the app back to internal it does update. However I am really low on space so this is not a permanent option.
Any ideas why this might be happening? Running Cyanogen 6 RC-1.
I was able to get Verygreen's CM7 installation on a 1gb SD card working from SD boot. However, I'm now trying to install some APK via the web, but it complains "No SD Card" available. When I try to goto Storage Settings > Mount SD Card, I get an error saying SD card is damaged (weird since I havn't done anything w/but install CM7). Total internal storage reported is 525MB, I assume the remainder are in a secondary partition for data..
Any insight how I can get the SD card working?
BUMP? Is my only alternative to install to internal memory in order to use the SD card :??
Hi, I am not sure if this is the answer, but I looked into Verygreen's original thread:
"up to 1G cards gets: system of ~300M and data of the rest of space. No FAT partition"
Possibly that's the issue. I have a 8G card and been running CM7 off of it. Yesterday I installed the UMS utility apk from this forum by using Opera, downloading it to a folder, and then simply tapping it in a file manager.

Maciej
Does anyone knows how to move/install your apps on the EXTERNAL sd card? i've got lots of maps and extra games' data on my phone..and when i move them on the external sd card, they are not recognized..
Please help me and other users with the same problem!
Which version of Android are you using?
If you're on ICS then you just go to Systems Settings - Apps. Then you select the app you want to move and you select, "Move to SD card".
I've been on numerous ICS Roms and it's always worked, I'm not sure about GB anymore (I haven't used one for 7 months now )
You can use an app like app2sd, or try to do this manually, like Lord_santa say
I tried both methods but it moves the apps on the INTERNAL sd card..but i want to move them on the EXTERNAL sd card( minisd card that you attach to your phone)
I'm currently running CM11 and I'm wondering how I can move my music and apps to my external SD card, I have installed link2sd and it keeps giving me an error message due to the internal storage. Is there something that I need to do to access my external card. Would love to add my music to my phone. Thanks for your time.

I am currently on CyanogenMod12.1(Stable Release 2). By default it stores everything in internal memory. I want to get full access to sd along with installing apps to sd. Can anyone help?
i'm having a similar issue, i'm using cyanogen also, and when i try to move apps to my external sd instead of the "move app to sd memory" option it says "move app to usb storage" so i can't move my apps to my sd card :/
