I tried many options but still I cannot connect to zune in Windows 7.
1. I tried using Original Cable
2. Microsoft Help also didnt work.
3. Formatting the phone also not worked.
4. Reinstall zune also didnt work.
5. I updated to NoDo Rom, still cannot connect with zune.
When I connect the phone, 2 unknown drivers appear in device manager. When I update them, it says no update availabe...
I want to connect my phone to zune , any1 R&D masters plzzz. help if ??????????

i had the same problem. ur hd7 is stuck in diagnostic mode. i sent mine to HTC and they replaced the MB.
send to service centre like mine they'll change new mainboard PLUS you get a souvenior (htc pen,htc magnet,and htc glass)I sent it trice and get trice souvenior.(depends on country).

Well be helpful and tell us what the problem and solution was
Update the USB driver
1) Get a computer of your own. Shouldn't cost more than $500 if you know how to shop for a full set.
2) Load Ubuntu on it. The drivers are already installed.
Windows 7 has recognized my G1 from build 7229 (its the one I started with) and haven't had any issues yet.
Windows 7 sometimes seems to be a problem sometimes with the drivers, removal and reinstall seems to do it
just install pdanet on your pc. it install all adb drivers.
please help me :- after our long wait for 2.2 to become avail for my galaxy s i was over the moon when i was 'allowed' to upgrade but to my horror when downloading to the phone windows vista decided it didn't recognize my device and terminated connection.
ive tried a few things since to try to rectify , i've deleted then reinstalled kies , kies was also telling me to go into recovery mode which my unit doesn't do , the phone & pc communicate fine to upload & download reg media etc it just seems that when digging android is doing his thing on my screen the pc decides NO!!!!!.
Also after each attempt to upgrade the phone seems to be un-affected and will boot & work without any problems.
As i said before please help as i bought android rather than sellout to you know who and all my 'i' mates are laughing.........
i'm desperate guys please help or point me in the right direction.

It might be your antivirus or any other program using/ connected to your phone other than kies.
You can do few possible things, of I can think of
1. Turn off your antivirus during upgrade
2. use another USB cable
3. restart the mobile
4. check if you can copy/ paste files from/ to mobile/ computer
5. If yes, you should be able to upgrade through Kies
6. Sometimes Samsung server is down
If it doesnot help, let me know

well ive tried the anti-virus & firewall thing with no effect,is there a coinsidence that my model doesn't have 3 button reset and this problem? unfortunately im not pc savy enough to know where the files are on the pc to copy n paste. i did try a diferent cable & after each attempt to ugrade & device not recognized the phone will only start after ive whipped the battery out ...........................so once again any help would be great , thanks.

Dear I am not sure what wrong there, as you said 3 Button combo is not working, I would suggest to enable it 1st from here

Once it is working, you will be able to flash/ install any firmware
maybe If you open Kies as Administrator, it might solve your problem or 1st repair the windows using windows CD and then open kies as Admin and try the same process. I hope you understand I am just guessing what might be the problem with your PC

I recently got Optimus 4x HD and I was trying to upgrade software (now I have V10a) over the internet via PC suite and over the mobile phone...Each time I have problems, my mobile phone says that my phone is not registred and PC suite says that there is a problem and cant upgrade...
is there a solution of this problem?
how to register a product? over local version od lg.com or what? if thats the solution, I cant register my product because it's not listed yet in devices in my local lg.com
if someone knows the solution, please...I need help

That is strange. I took my phone right out of box with v10a, right away it updated to v10b, so to v10d and then to v10f. I didnt register or anything at all.

Have you tried to directly flash a .kdz file? That should help, as your device came with 10a it should be a normal one and no developer.

I got that phone for free from a cousine working in local lg office... he was saying that it's the final version...
there is a encription on the back of the model NOT FOR SALE...so that means it a developer edition, or not?
ofcourse, software is version v10a....
maybe it's not registred for sale so it wont update?

If you'll try the normal flash, you'll brick it almost for sure.
By that method you'll be able to flash it.
Pay attention to the tutorial before you start!

I did everything as in the tutorial...but I stopped at step 8...
I am using win 7, 64 bit edition and I connected to my laptop win xp 32 bit edition, I manage to install everything, but when I connect phone (vol up and usb cable) the computer never finds omap4430...when I look at device manager i get a new hardware for about 3 seconds and then everything dissapears...
I don't undestrand...
does it maybe has to be win 7 and 32 bit operational system or something else...

I got the same Message when I tried to check for updates. On my phone the solution was to enable OTA in the hidden menu.

As far as I know, the flash method for developers phones must run in 32bit system.
About retail phones, just try to download the KDZ version you want to and flash it with the normal methode.

I tried everything for updating like developer and didn't succeded...then i decided to risk and tried it with the normal methode and it worked...

Maybe even without sucess, when you flash by the "development way" (let's call it like that for now...), you overwrite the file system allowing to perform the normal flash after that.

Since some time i have a new phone the htc one . When i got my phone it worked perfectly when i attached it to my computer , and also to my laptop. But recently it when i connect it to my computer it gives me this message:
USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED : one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned , and windows cannot recognize it. for assistance in solving this problem , click this message
I got everything on my phone settings and so on in right way. I allready got alot of android phones and i know everything about it , It doenst connect to my laptop ether same message . After contacting HTC Service , sending it to someone who can fix it has no use and i wil waste my money . At least that is what they told me. I reinstalled drivers , i updated my phone and i buyed new cable's to try them out, nothing works.
So my question is: Is there a way to fix this ? ore is this defenitly a hardware problem

Hi just got my new p970 from ebay delivered brand new from hong kong and was working fine for me vodafone but was on froyo so i wanted to update to ICS. i tried the official updater but all this did was made my fone unbootable! so i found this website, downloaded the smart flash tool and the KDZ file for uk. however now ICS is installed properly, but it doesnt recognise SIM card, no signal no contacts nothing! ive tried downloading a few older ones even version 2.3.4 which it was on before but again im not getting signal!
Any help am i using the wrong KDZ to get a p970 working for vodafone uk? or is there something else i can try to unlock it?
Any help much appreciated! been waiting for weeks to have a smartphone again and its allllll gone wrong :'(
also my phone seems to have no IEMI number being recognised...
You probably check "delete entire cp" in smart flash tool. I cant give you a link, but you should search for how to restore imei. I think your sim isnt recognized becsuse there is know imei

thanks i have been trying this method, but when ever i try and switch to CP the phone is gone from the COM port and fails to install the driver, and keeps making the noise as if its being pluged in and out.... ive read alot of people have had this problem. my computer is windows 7, im going to try at work on the XP computer tomorrow hopefully i can resolve this!
Ok so now tried on 3 computers, one iwth windows 7 one windows 8 and one XP. On all of them when i connect the phone to and switch to CP USB mode the phone constanly disconnects and re connects but the driver never installs. I have downloaded the driver from lg website and its detected fine in AP USB mode but i just cant get it recognised in CP USB so have no way of changing the IEMI!!!!!! this is soo fruistrating i dont know what else to try now any ideas?
