Ok this is my 2nd set of wallpapers this time I made a few very simple once for the new sense 3.5 I am using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245938
I suggest using wallpaper wizardrii which you can download from the market to set the wallpapers otherwise they might get a little more out of line.

Launcher and stock clock

Is there any way with Launcher Pro or ADW to get the stock clock from 2.1 that has the location and date on it? The one I like is the one that turns from black to white for night and day and has the date in the middle and location on the bottom.
I know, it's silly, but I've gotten used to the clocks that come with the Slide and I want to use them on my Launchers.
Thanks!
I am interested in the stock clock as well, but only to get the stop watch and count down clock back (I know their are downloadable ones too). I thought I remember someone posting the apks for the stock clock a while back...
I mean, I really like LauncherPro and ADW but I've gotten SO used to that clock and if it's sitting in the stock ROM I don't get why I can't get to it via the launchers? I thought there would be a clear way to do this or that I'd at least have the same options of apps and widgets as I did on the Stock OS.
Are you using a custom ROM? If so, those ROMs ultimately control what comes on the phone.
No, I'm just using the stock ROM. I haven't done anything to my phone. I simply don't see the same set of widgets as on the stock OS.
I guess it's my lack of knowledge then as to what the add-on launchers do to your phone...
No, I don't think it's you, I just think something coded into their software impedes access to Stock Widgets on MyTouch Slides.
Not sure if what you guys are talking about is the fact that HTC sense widgets can only be used with the sense launcher. That would be why if you install a alternate launcher all of the sense widgets such as the clocks are not there. There are some sense knockoff clocks and widgets on the market that can be used with other launchers. It is kinda like you cant use live wallpapers with sense launcher but if you install a alternate you can.
I think you just solved my problem. That makes perfect sense.
No I just gotta find a knock off of that day-night one with the date embedded into it.
Thanks

I need some help. Please.

I need you to help me make my screen look like their's, I am new to rooting android.
Here is the link to the pics of their screens: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860404
Thank you.
GB Launcher, Beautiful Widgets, and LCD Density Changer. Wallpaper set and save for whatever HD wallpaper you choose.
And the last one on that page is Zeam launcher.
Thanks, that helped alot I ended up using seam. I wanted to know how to put the clock and Widgets without having to pay for it. And is it possible to use free texting apps on it.

[THEME] Honeycomb Theme

I looked around and basically just couldn't find a good honeycomb theme anywhere from what I saw so I decided to take matters into my own hands...I do like honeybread for CM7...but it was just not exactly what I was looking for. So I'm running on the ADW Launcher EX so anyone can have the exact same setup with no problems at all. The Apps+ icon in the top right I made with the SiMi Folder widget with a custom pic icon...the clock in the bottom right is the One More Clock widget from the market. My messenger/calendar/gmail widgets are all from the Pure Messenger and Pure Calendar widgets from the market. The bottom left icon I made with desktop visualizer and just have it linked to my current browser. The analog clock is obviously the Honeycomb clock FREE from the market. If you go into the ADW settings you just change the screen transition effect to Effect 1 to get the nice honeycomb like scrolling effect. I have gestures setup so when you swipe up on the home screen it pulls up the app drawer and if you swipe down it pulls down the notification bar...this way I can still use them w/o it ruining the honeycomb look. I also added the circle batter widget into the mix in the bottom left. My home screen is setup for constant landscape orientation and 10 wide by 7 high icon space...this was made this way just to make the icons and stuff where I wanted them too. You can't really use all of this space because the widgets overlap and it just makes it a pain so I don't recommend it. The other thing you have to do is download the free honeycomb theme on the market for adw...this is just to get the google widget that I am using. Also you'll want to download the honeycomb wallpapers app from the market...this is where I got my wallpaper from cuz it just looks the best in landscape...the one that comes with the theme just isn't that good if you ask me...both apps are made by the same developer. Anyways...here are some pics...I'm running this on my OG Droid with the MIUI ROM on it...hope you all enjoy. Just click on the pictures to look at them bigger and get a better idea of how it looks...I added them to this originally with them already full but the preview was cutting off the right side of the pictures and I just didn't want to chance it...please tell me what you think.

hahaha...sorry man...i figured everyone would just look at the pics and if they liked then in order to get it all the same they will have to read it all anyways...wasn't really worried about what format all the information was in...the only thing that doesn't have anything to do with the setup is the first sentence of why i made this
so how did you get the honeycomb status bar?
i like it
but i hate how its landscape
\
ill make it more "portate friendly" if you can share the icons/theme elements

yeah the landscape makes it a little bit of a pain to use at times so i can understand not liking it that way...luckily you can make it portrait...just might take some tweaking...i've added a list of the apps/widgets that i used so that you can easily find them on the market...i would add links to app brain or something but i can't add links on here cuz i dont' have enough posts yet.
I'll also add the 2 custom icons i made for this...they aren't the greatest and i'm sure you could find better but it's what i'm using...there are only 2 custom icons...the apps+ in the top right and the icon in the lower left. I'll add them right away.

there really is no status bar...the bottom right is the One More Clock widget and the bottom left is just a desktop visualizer widget and the circle battery widget...the original status bar i have still in tact...just have to swipe down and it pulls it up.
Also for everyone else i've added 2 more pictures that are the custom icons that you need to make it just like this or even to make it in portrait view...just click to blow it up and then right click/save as in order to keep the icon see through and not white in areas

If you're using the xda app, I usually have to use jpg files. Make sure shootme is set to take jpg pictures instead of PNG. Just open up the app and press menu -> preferrences.
squid try what blu3poptart said with the jpeg thing and see if that works...only thing is the 2 icon files i attached to this are both png files...so idk...i don't use the xda app to post anything...so maybe that is your problem like he says

First,
you're in the wrong section theres a question and answer section for things like these.
I dont know what version of Sense you're running. But the one i run which is 3.5 on Runnymede and it does offer a way to add a panel but only if you have less than 7 set up
So as far as im aware you cant add more.
Same goes for any launchers i'm aware they have 7 or less screens.
But anyway damn, to use all 7 and fill them all up I find very hard, unless you're using larger than 1x1 widgets
lol
well sorry for wrong section...anyway It's not that difficoult to fill 7 pages just use 7full page widget are you are there ( news, mail, bookmarks meteo ecc..). It's like you just have 7 tabs on the old manila ( still rocking for me ).
I really would like to see this happen, havig more pages can give chance to add more widgets which make sense considering that htc alone bring 70 widgets !

Hey,
smeddy's right about sense widgets, they wont work with any 3rd party launcher,
there's still a few options for sense styled widgets tho, might not sound ideal at 1st but some give you more options to customise than sense does.
free
go widgets with the transparency pack:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.gowidget.transparency&hl=en
fancy widgets:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.anddoes.fancywidgets&hl=en
paid
beautiful widgets & pure widgets
im sure there's more, these are the ones i know of

Hey,
No, you will have to make a choice between having more than 7 screens, or using the original sense widgets.
if ur priority is more than 7 home screens then Go Launcher is the only option (afaik), the apps i listed in the prev post are examples of sense styled widgets that you can use with Go Launcher.
so for example, using GO, you can use fancy widget to replace the sense clock,
use Go twitter, people, facebook or calander widgets to replace the equivalent sense widgets, this is how you can have more screens.
but if you cant do without the original sense widgets, you will be limited to 7 screens, hope this clears things up 4 u
My advice (for what its worth) would be just try it, if you dont like it, uninstall it, nothing lost!
il even get you started, here's the latest beta 2.62 its a bit quicker than the current market version (2.61), then search go widgets & go widget theme transparency in the market
Disclaimer:
I, myself or any member of my family or friends, do not work for, nor have an affiliation with Go Launcher, or any other Go products.
I'll try it but I'm a sense addicted and my goal was to have more than 7 pages with sense !!!

Alternative Launcher problem - no weather animations

Hi !
So, I decided to switch to another launcher on my Idol 4. I have chosen Evie Launcher, it's really OK for me. But .....
On the stock launcher, when I pressed the BOOM key, I got those fantastic weather animations. After launcher change they are not working anymore.
Is there maybe any method/trick/magic spell that I could use to get them back, but using different launcher than the stock one ?
Or maybe there is some method how to make the stock launcher icons just smaller, as this was main reason for me to switch to another one ? (Evie allows to set smaller icons so more information fits the home screen...)
