2 problems i have on N1

hi
I face two serious problems on my N1 which is running the latest CM stable version
Well i use my sdcard to install apps on.Today i install many themes and icon packs through market and those were not all installed. After that i could not access my sdcard and also couldnot unmount it.i tried to remove apps but on the screen i saw that was looping on calculating size of each app.is this my sdcard problem? or i am doing something wrong
Other problem is that on gallery i see fotos and videos stored everywhere on my sdcard. Is there a way to stop specific folders to appear on gallery?
can also anybody tell me where i see which radio image is installed on my phone?
is cm updating radio to latest version?
Regards
To exclude certain directories from the gallery, put a .nomedia file in the directory you want to exclude.
I use Astro file manager to just copy an existing .nomedia file from a directory that already has one.

thanx m8 for the reply.i will try your suggestion as soon as i get a working phone
CM or any other custom ROM doesn't update radio.
When loaded, Settings / About / Baseband will show you the version.
Both of the problems you describe aren't CM bugs, or bugs at all, for that matter. Looks like your SD card got corrupted, if you're not able to read it correctly - get it out of the phone and work with SD card reader (save the data and format the card). I'd suggest changing the misleading thread title.

[Q] EFS folder backup-is this right?

Copied my efs folder using Super Manager to my internal sdcard (dont have an ext yet)-used this method because couldnt get the adb method to work for me despite some brilliant tutorials .
Inside efs folder I got 7 files-2 folders-the emei folder contains 2 files, the android folder is empty and a further 5 files.
When I try to copy/ paste to my PC it only copies the emei folder (with 2 files) and only 2 of the other 5 files. Is this due to a lack of permission? Pc is set to display hidden files and Im administrator (Vista) If I use 'My files' on phone it can only see those same 4 files.
If it makes any difference Im on 2.1 still-which is why Im doing this cos Im getting so bored waiting for Orange to release 2.2.
Really appreciate someone giving me some help on this..

[Q] Accidentally deleted .lfs folder

Hi, i have accidentally deleted all the photos in my .lfs folder...
Could someone post their .lfs folder in a .zip or something?
the directory of the .lfs folder is /mnt/.lfs
This would be a big help. Thank You
I am Running Firefly 3.0 and Onix 2.0.5 if you need to know that
Here you go. I am running FireFly 3.0 with the stock Kernel
umm you cant delete or copy files into that folder.
reboot.
it will be back,
trust me.
Real ly? God I hope so
Here I go!
Sent from my captivate running firefly!
Wow, tru, can you give an explanation on why that worked?
Sent from my captivate running firefly!
umm cant edit that folder, special partition.
you can add info but cant delete or change without re-flashing.
there is a couple mods for the pictures in that folder to change your boot image.
there is a mod for froyo and one for gingerbread.
the mod involves flashing a whole new folder, then droping a file in that folder.
[MOD] Custom Boot Screen (for Gingerbread)
get rid of AT&T logo on your I9000 rom "NOW SIMPLIFIED" (froyo)

[Q] Upgraded to "Overcome - Gingerbread", /efs folder empty

Hi guys,
Looking for helps here.
First I want to thank the guy created the "Overcome for Gingerbread", it comes w/ a great details instruction and I successfully upgraded.
My tab was original from Bell Canada, the phone feature was locked. I was able to unlock it by modifying the nv_data.bin file...
But now after I upgraded to Gingerbread, my phone feature is disabled again so I suppose I should do the whole unlock process again. However when I looked for the nv_data.bin file, the directory /efs is empty?!?!?!. Can someone help me here?
Thanks,
Edit: I found a nv_data.bin file on my laptop (not sure if it's the orginial one), trying to copy it to the /efs folder on the tablet, but I got error "not enough space"...
What program u using to copy with. Put that file on the SD card first from your PC.
Then get EF File Explorer rooted, and copy that from the SD card to the /efs directory
The nv_data.bin edit unlocks the tablet to allow use on other carriers like rogers, fido etc.
It does not provide phone usage, you need to flash a european rom to enable the phone,
then you need to flash a suitable modem to allow 3G data and phone, then edit your apn info.
Are you sure efs is empty, maybe your no longer rooted and can't see it?
You get the not enough space error because you have most probably renamed the original file and are trying to copy the new one in the directory. Delete the file and also the.md5 correspondent (it will be recreated on reboot.
P
Thanks for all the replies guys, but my problem is still there.
@Sonictab: I'm rooted and I'm sure that my /efs folder is empty.
@StarLog: I'm using Super Manager to copy the file
Now I can't even download files from the browser nor using the market place to download any apps. Something went wrong and I'm not sure what. Should I downgrade?

[Q] Audio/Ringtones/Notification Problem

Recently just installed XXJVO on my SGS, everything is working fine except the fact that alot of my ringtones and notification sounds are missing, since they was already backed up I just copied the folder to System/Media/Audio but it doesn't read them. Just the ones that was there already, I've tried copying the audio folder to the SD card and rebooted my phone several times. If I go to Root Explorer and go the directory all the files are there
Any Ideas how to fix this?

Read somewhere a guide. DonĀ“ t know if this help you out. Create on your sd a Folder called media, in there you create a Folder called audio and in there you create 3 Folders called notifications, ringtones and alarms and put the mp3 files you want in there.
