Hey guys .. well I basicly wanted to ask a quick question ... would it be possible to run .. a pokemon game .. you the ones for nintendo ds lite ? ..... I do enjoy those games they help me kill time .. if you wanna contact me u can at [email protected] .. thanx guys if not just send me a message on here peace

u can use the kidd gbc which is a game boy color emulator but its pretty slow

As an active member of both the Android and Pokemon communities, I can safely say it is impossible to run Pokemon D/P/P on Android (at least with the currently available hardware).

I guess if you had the source code from Game Freak, or you could even do a very accurate clone ... It's not a control issue (the bottom screen is practically useless in the game anyway). There's no way to do DS emulation on a G1 or any other Android hardware that's going to release this year. Hell, the best PC emulator is still slow on older computers.

i don't have a ds or ds lite or ds wifi or whatever the new one is, and i don't play pokemon, but i haven't posted much lately, and i want to stay consistenet on this site, and i want to up my posts, and if you haven't noticed yet i DO LOVE COMMAS, so, for lack of the obvious, i'm going to chime in here and say....

Gamers: Please get TigerMAME- it rocks!

TigerMAME on the Gtablet plays CPS1, CPS2 and all Neo Geo games. It plays all games full speed with sound. Droid X chokes on games like Metal Slug and King of Fighters 99.
I have tested every rom for CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo over the weekend (really). EVERY game works perfectly.
Gamers need to get this ASAP TigerMAME 1.31 is curent version. The app sucked up until 1.3, but since then, it is amazing.
Proably best for the dev to rename it Final Burn, since more that than a true MAME.
A+ none the less!

i'm sorry but what exactly is tigermame? is it an emulator, i can't find it in the market.. also i got wiimote to work over the weekend and have been playing some games. my experience the games have been very laggy and choppy. my incredible plays them much better. i'm on zpad, i wonder if i'm doing something wrong or i'm on the wrong rom

I'd prefer a plain version of MAME instead. I like the older games versus the JAMMA (CPS, CPS2, NeoGeo) stuff.

Silly question, but how do you control the game? is it all on the touch screen?

Weird. I found Tigermame by typing "tiger" but have the near full market working.
TigerMAME is a multi arcade game emulator. This is more like Final Burn, whose focus is Capcom games (CPS1 & CPS2) and Neo Geo.
This app and PSX4Droid show how much more powerful the Tegra 2 is over the 3630 (Archos 70 & 101).
If you search for the game sets I refer to above, you can easily find lists and download links for the roms. Everyone of them works perfectly. For Neo Goe games, make sure to put the neogeo.zip file in the same directory as the game zips or Neo Geo games will not work (it is a bios file)
Touch screen is better than I thought it would be, but still no match for hardware inputs.
The app is free.

I also have psx emulator and it its laggy too. Maybe its the rom I'm on or maybe I need to reboot before I play. But yes the tegra2 should smoke the snap dragon.

1.7 version of PSX4droid is slow. Something is screwed up in it. I pulled 1.5 from an older Titanium back up. Twice as fast and not exaggeration.

Just Google scph1001.bin for psx4droid and u should find it. Once u download it place it in your psx folder on Da SD card. Now when it asks u to get that file it should be in there
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE
in order to play psx games they have to be downloaded and extracted on a desk or laptop. Doing this from ur phone will cause the games to not download correctly. I don't know the exact step by step instructions but I do know what you need. U need a program that extracts the psx games. U can usually Google it and u should find something to help u with this. Than the most important part is finding a program called (UN ECM). Once u get done downloading and extracting ur game of choice, you then drag and drop it ON TOP of the UN ECM program wherever its located on ur computer. The reason for this because the program doesn't open, u can just drag and drop stuff on top of it. Once all that is said and done there should be a data.bin file wherever u originally saved the game. U can rename this file but don't delete data.bin, jus put game title prior to the word data. Once u do that, then put the game file in the psx folder on your Droid.
In order to be successful u should do research. The info I gave u is generally correct but hey, ur Da one that has to complete the task. Let me know how it works out. Good Luck

Thanks... I am looking more into it, its running .. looking for roms now

Sadly, the current version of PSX4Droid (1.7) is MUCH slower than 1.5 and 1.6. 1.5 seems the best version of the app for speed.
Games play a lot slower on 1.7, so not a good rep for the app and the Gtablet's performance. 1.5 version IS a good rep.
As far as TigerMAME, how the dev went from a bad app to one of the best in such a short time period and a few updates is amazing.
Every single game and rom version works perfectly for speed, graphics and sound.
1 CPS1
2 CPS2
3. Neo Geo
That is a few hundred real arcade games playing just as well on the Gtablet.... Though the V-pad is better than expected, it would be nice if a USB gamepad could be read.....

i tried running psx 1.5 but it does not load the bios that worked for 1.7. is there another bios or something?

I use bios scph1001. Not had a problem with it

Yep that's the one I use, not sure. I switched to tnt lite and it seems less laggy but it won't let me use wiimote so it's almost pointless.

For me, version 1.7 is slow on the Gtablet and super crazy slow on the Incredible. 1.5 is about twice as fast. I can get some good playtime with the v-pad, but playing platform games is an issue. Actually doing better than I thought with some games.
Correct though- we need the ability to use a game pad.

I'm trying to spark some interest as to why tnt is making us use their keyboard, there has to me a hack or a mod to fix this issue.

You are using a Wiimote Controller app to translate the Wiimote for Android...right?
I'm on TnT 2.02 Lite and am currently using a Wiimote right now.

could you maybe post the apk if its the lite verison. ive been trying the find the apk for psx4droid 1.5 or 1.6 for so long, cus ive heard more than one person say this.

Hi. Is there any way to play earth and legend on x8? did anyone tried it? i installed it but in loading screen is closing. of course its for hi end devices but i like it very much and it worth to ask for it

I've tried with Chainfire (v2.8), but results are the same as arikos have

And resize images
And NVIDIA. Try it with GINGERDX or my latest Cyborg.
Note: I DIDN'T swap and I was using stock kernel.
Install these zip in cf3d. Make settings I said, and choose nvidia or powervr.
I hope u guys will successfully play this game, but our x8 can't display the clothes they are wearing, but hat and pants can be displayed. Just like my screenshots.

P.S Why do you need libGLEMU_QUALCOMM.zip? Our X8 has it!

We REALLY don't need it!

thanx for the links . The thing is that i had the plugins but when i start the game with chainfire was freezing in "restoring bonus content". Anyway somehow after some restarts and install-uninstalls i manage to open the game at last. i actually play some missions but after i updated the cyborg to v4 (nice update kevinlogix ) i lost the game and after install it again it freezing like before.start all over again What a mess . Good luck for u guys

AT LAST it WORKS!!. After i FULL WIPE i install chainfire with DEFAULT settings (per-app doesn't working) (settings:
redused texture quality to 16 bit colors
redused texture size
and POWERVR in plugins and restart. NVIDIA works two but with some graphics problems for me. The game runs very good with minimum lugs.

yes... I play this game on desktop pc, but i think it's a shame that it doesn't work as it should on wp....

Hmm... How good are you in porting C++/java code to SL? FYI, original Android version of "Cut the Rope" has 1.5 MB compiled binary module plus 1.6 compiled java code. So it much easier to port it from iPhone/iPad (if you have good designed C++ classes) than to SL.

i meant for the developers of "cut the rope" it could not be so difficult to port it to WP.. they wrote the game.. they could port it to any p-language.
anyway, it was one of the games, which i had searched for when i got my omnia and i really do think a game like this should have been on marketplace already..

Trust me, it's not an easy... Even for developers. Actually it's not a "port" but they should write a brand new XNA game. Of course they may reuse assets, algorithms and classes structures but it's a lot of work.
