I have a 100% stock HD7 from Tmobile Im not sure how, but it just stopped booting. On battery it will not turn on at all, but if I plug it in with the volume down I was able to get into the tri color screen and so I was going to flash a stock firmware, but before I could it powered off and just started flickering the htc logo and then vibrating then shutting down then doing this in a loop.... Any ideas could it be that the battery is just dead, but if so why wont it just run while plugged in? Also while plugged it is says it is a pd29110 as well as a touch s1.
Thanks!
If from what you have said I would try another battery and see what happens from that point then on.

I read somewhere to pull the sd card so I did that and it didnt work so I put it on a cheapo wall charger and it didnt light up but I left it and now it has charged and turns on! But now my sd cards says its only 12 mb... Anyone else ever had this problem?
This is typical (imo). This happened when i first plugged the phone in from the shop. Happened again with a completely drained battery. Just plug it in and it cycles... So i pull the plug and plug it back in and it usually catches itself.

It looks like my Tytn II might be bricked... I have searched and searched and can not find any info on this. The phone will not turn on. I know the battery is dead, but it should have the power to try to boot. In fact, I have not used it in a while and I just tryed to boot it, it got to the starting screen, then the windows loading screen, and then I walked away for a few minutes and came back it and it was a black screen. Tried to turn on again and it did not power up. Upon plugging it into the charger, I get a solid red light on the top. When I remove the battery from the phone as the charger is connected the LED immediately changes to solid orange, and the blue led next to it comes on as well. When I disconnect the charger all the LEDs go off (obviously because theres no battery) and when i put the battery back in the phone i get a dim red light.
is the phone bricked? im thinking it might have slight water damage but it has been like 2 weeks since then so it should have dryed up i assume. tried to reset a few times with the little reset button next to the charger port, nothing. is it possible the battery may just be done for? any help or suggestions would be great. thanks.
I had that isue but i just leaved the phone on charger and everything came back to normal It's still working very well. But, i cant remember how i get into that situation but i surely know that i saw red light on top .
thanks, now that its been on the charger for a while i now get an orange LED. i will let it charge for a while and see if it awakens after almost 3 weeks of utter deadness.
Try waking it while on charge itslef.

just tried and it got to the very first boot screen and then went black and the orange and blue LEDs stayed on. tried to reset, no luck. unplugged charger, still LEDs stayed on. so then I took the battery out, all LEDs went out, plugged it back in and now i get the same red LED again.
update: now i get a orange LED as its plugged into the charger, but when i try to turn it on it gives the first boot screen for like 3 or 4 seconds then turns off...
I am getting exactly the same problem?
I tried to install android - got it working, came on a few times - then just totally died - It showt he HTC boot logo, but then just turns off.
Does anyone have any ideas.
does your computer see it when plugged in via usb?
perhaps this will help? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358136
oh and also you have tried to enter the bootloader mode right?
I've had this issue, millions of times. What I do when I have problems like this (and problems like when I turn it on, it says the battery is low when it isnt, and when you connect your charger/USB, it dies on you)
Try removing and putting the battery back on.
so in simple words
charge the battery first (dont bother trying to turn it on)
and then remove the charger (this plays a big role)
take out the battery, put it back in, hope it works.
The same thing just happened to me, I thought it was toast. I would get the red light when I plugged into the charger, and after a few minutes it would turn to orange. I tried to turn it on then, and it would start to boot up, then shut off a few seconds later. This happened a few times. I just left it plugged in overnight, and when I woke up it was on! Only problem I've noticed is the orange LED is always on, but I can live with that
when i turned my android off, i turned it back on and i got this weird screen that said bootloader in the top left corner. it said 2C. 7C under it. it says farther down the screen Battery OK then under it OK to program then it says under that connect usb (i did this and nothing happend) and then under that it says data cable. i have no idea how to fix this how do i fix it?
well it goes to the regular screen but not it wnt charge idk what i did to my phone. its not rooted at all
now just back to that first screen i talked about and it won't charge.
That is the bootloader your seeing, move your dpad around to make sure it isn't stuck then pull out the battery...replace battery and plug into wall charger. Turn phone back on.

Got the phone just over a year ago so it's just out of warranty.
The phone recently started turning off, forcing me to remove the battery in order to restart it. This occurred when I turned the screen off (power button) and left it off for more than about 20 seconds. This was obviously a massive pain in the ass, so I decided to s-off, root, then put custom firmware on it.
So I plugged it into the computer and was just downloading all the required bits, and I got a phone call. I picked up, talked for a bit, then when I hung up I instinctively turned the phone screen off. I then left it for about half an hour until the downloads were done (HTC Sync downloading at 40 kbps >.<) and then went to turn it back on. Of course it had offed itself.
So I went to pull the battery out and do the usual -- to no avail. I tried outing the battery, plugging it in, then putting the battery back in (as read from a random Google result) and nothing.
TL;DR:
Here's the status:
Phone began doing the seemingly standard random turn-offs that require a battery loop.
After a week or so of this, the phone stopped coming back on.
And it will not give any sign of life (No vibrates, no lights when plugged in, no PC response)
Phone has never been dropped / watered
Tried different leads / USB - power adapters
Battery was at about 80-90% at the time of offing forever.
Tried with SIM Card in and out
Tried with MicroSD card in and out
Is this **** bricked? I wanted to wait for the Edge to come out before I upgraded; I don't want to end up with a Sensation or something.
Any fixes?

Sounds like your phone just died.
Another explanation is you have something loose, you should open it and check .

I'll take it in the an Optus shop today and start yelling abuse, maybe that will get it fixed. Worked on my old Legend. If that doesn't work, I'll open it up and have a look.
Yelling didn't work, they just tried out the phone on all their chargers and it failed.
So I'll open it now.
OK here's a picture of the USB charger bit. I can't post external links, so I'll attach it.
It looks okay... is this what I should try replacing? The USB thingy?
BTW, I unplugged everything then plugged it all back in, so nothing's loose.
Hey Andrew, I sent you a PM.
Struggling with the same problem...
Just made a call from my phone. After the call the phone seemed to be stuck on the call screen. I didn't think anything of it and left the phone alone. When i tried to use the phone again, there was no screen and the phone was not responding. I tried to re-start the phone by pulling out the battery but it won't switch on. You people seem to have the same problem. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Just a suggestion, but have you tried removing the battery and powering on with the charger connected?
I guess this would help resolve whether it's a battery/charger issue.

Did you get this to work?
Based on your post count, this is probably a stupid question but:
You tried charging in an outlet (not through computer), right? Any under-the-hood work makes my Bionic run hot and burn through the battery.
More technical: I read somewhere that someone upgraded to windows 8 and fastboot stopped working. Windows 7 fixed the problem (if you're saying that fastboot is the problem, not Vol - & power button recovery mode).
Were you in the process of rooting?

I am kind of having the same problem. I recenty got a droid bionic where I had to replace the LCD screen and battery since when I got it it did not have a battery with it. I got an NON-OEM extended battery and every thing was working fine for three days. In that time I was able to upgrade everyting to the latest software, fireware, and Android version (4.1.2 JB) but after those three days the phoe woould not power on. When I plugged it into my computer and tried, the white power light would just blink at me. when I unplugged it from the computer and tried it would not even come on. I thought it was the battery so I sent it back and got an OEM extended batter and a OEM dock/charger. When I got everything I plugged it all in and the screen came on with the Motorola M logo and then showed me a picture of the battery at 5%, so I let it charger over night. In the morning I pressed the power button while still plugged into the charger, the phone light up saying the battery was at 100%. So I took it off the charger and tried to power up. Nothing happened. I plugged it into my computer and the white power light came on and stayed solid but still no power-up. I just tries the Volume Up/Down power while plugged into the wall charger and I can get to the recovery screen and try the normal boot up, I get the Motorola M Logo screen, I just now tried recovery and the little Droid just showed up with its stomach with a red triangle and an ! in it and is just sittin there. and now it when back to the Motorola M Logo screen then the battery screen. Does this mean mine is bricked as well? Please some one help.
Bumping because of no help yet. I can access the recovery screen but does not seem to help any, it also has to be plugged into the wall charger for this to happen but I can not power it up whether it is plugged in or not. Please Help someone so I can get this figures out.
Alright strange thing to try, plug it into your computer, while plugged in take it the battery, give it a minute and put it back in while still plugged in.

Did as you suggest but when I took out the battery. the white light stayed on. Still could do nothing. Waited 2 minutes, put the battery back in and still nothing. All I get is the white light staying on. I unplug from the computer, the light turns off and still nothing, not even the recovery screen will boot up.
Can you get to the fast boot option by holding both volume buttons and power

As long as I keep it plugged into the wall charger I can. When I go there it says "Battery Low Cannot Program Connect USB Data Cable. But as soon as I unplug the wall charger it shuts off and I can not get back to fast boot. When I plug it into the USB cable and plug into the computer, I can not get to fast boot. I just check and it says my battery is at 100%. but when I first plug it in it says 5%.
Your gonna need to charge your battery with either an external charger or the usb charging hack before you can perform an fxz on it

Hello,
So I discovered a bad problem with my HTC One. I was using my phone in the car before it died. When I got home, I immediately went to put my phone on charge. Everything was looking ok. Phone tried to turn on. The lightning symbol showed up before going to the charging animation. That's where I have my problem. The battery animation will completely fill up green once and then the phone shuts off. And the whole process starts over. It still charges, but it takes forever this way. So when I finally have enough power to turn the phone on, the charger doesn't work at all when it's on. When my phone is on and I turn it off so it can charge the battery goes straight back to zero. Really annoying.
I've tried multiple chargers. Using the wall and my laptop, but all the same result. My laptop can't recognize the device either. I'm completely stock. No root, S-on, never messed with bootloader, just a stock HTC One. I should also add that I was coming back from the beach and I had my phone in a bag under some towels. The phone never got wet or anything. Possible heat damage?
Any suggestions on how to fix or what's the problem?
